hello! i have a few small questions for the summer podfic swap exchange regarding treats:

are you open to receiving treats?

i noticed you had both fluff and coffee shop AUs on your DNW list. would you be open to a treat that includes one or either of these? not as the main focus but auxiliary to the rest of the plot.

thank you!! of course, if the answer to both or one of these is no, don't feel bad at all :) i would just love to make you a treat and don't want to include something you would absolutely hate.

One of the reasons people headcanon Grace as aromantic is the unfortunately realistic scene where they go "you don't have a family or a loved one" as if that's enough of a justification to send him on a suicide mission. As if not having a family makes Grace inherently less valuable and means he should be more willing to sacrifice himself for the greater good.

Grace wasn't sad and lonely, he was happy, he had a good life, he very much did not want to die. They have to do a looney tunes chase sequence and drug him because Grace was *very* unwilling to be the sacrificial lamb. Humanity's savior was dragged kicking and screaming into the role and called selfish for daring to be a coward, as if most of us wouldn't be.

And then he befriends Rocky, who never demands a sacrifice from him, who willingly prolongs his journey home so Grace can go back to his. Rocky has a mate back home and his species depends on his return, and still risks his life to save his squishy human friend. And Grace returns the favor.

And thus the power of friendship saves two planets.

It has a huge variety of historical recipes from different regions, taken from manuscripts, transcribed and translated, and a whole section of notes about the context for the recipe. It's really fun and I AM going to try a couple of these recipes.

The concept of Lan Qiren being so aro/ace that he just completely skipped out on his family's Obsessive Love Fixation thing is just hilarious to me.

Man's just watching everyone else in his family spiral over some seemingly random person they've lost their minds about and he simply cannot relate. He definitely thinks it's some kind of curse and that he's personally managed to escape it through like, mindfulness or something? Keeps telling his nephews to meditate and be rational and follow the rules because he thinks attraction is some fake thing that poets invented.

I don’t remember if LBH ever found out about SQQ‘s human stick dreams in canon but if not

Post canon fic where SQQ has that nightmare again. It’s just a normal nightmare this time. Brains are weird and his decided we’re doing *that* tonight. LBH wakes up too, having witnessed everything via dream magics. SQQ immediately jumps to comforting LBH. It was just nonsense, he’s not afraid of LBH, go back to bed.

In his half awake state SQQ doesn’t notice that LBH is not, in fact, fighting tears as he expected, so when he stays dry he assumes he was successful and plops right back to sleep.

Meanwhile LBH is too shocked to even say anything. Because as a master of dreams he knows that was not just some random nonsense. That dream was tied to a memory. That was something Shizun had really experienced.

the reason jesse never meets walt's kids is because his track record with children is that he will go to bat for them for any reason any time any where so if he had met walt's kids he would've turned on walt three seasons earlier and spent all his efforts trying to get milf skyler (who still hates him for selling weed to her husband; there is no sexual tension but plenty of regular social tension) out of her house . buys holly little chewable toys and zooms her like an airplane. gets them year passes to the zoo. goes with them (skyler annoyed but cannot shake him; he insists it's for protection but it is very obvious he also just wanted an excuse to go to the zoo because badger will not do it (says it's lame) and pete is busy). talks the entire time about his favorite exhibit (gibbons). he would not sell flynn weed because that's a tenth grader and it's his mission to make sure this one doesn't turn out like he did BUT he will teach him how to do stupid tricks in a car. doesn't care about the two-foot driving technique. whatever you gotta do bro. you want me to soup up your car? bounce bounce amiright

she builds that little teleportation rig and insists that they all be there to send her off and whoops looks like they got caught in the crossfire and have to come with her. she then feels even more guilty because being greedy about taking them with her almost got them killed by space due to her miscalculations. but. she still got them there in the end didn’t she. got what she wanted. and now she can show them just how cool the tardis is and that they can go anywhere in time and space and maybe now they won’t leave her :) willingly :) she’s normal about her new friends :)

im going to choose to believe this about her actually. i think she did that for real. i think she kidnapped those guys because she was already way too attached to them and felt guilty about crashing into their lives and fucking things up and she decided. well. but what if i took them with me and that fixed things? by bringing them to the tardis and letting them avoid the grief i caused by running away with me?? that’s a normal response to this right??? and then she teleportation kidnapped them. on purpose.
