Hi there and welcome! I'm Faren, a middle-aged person who's been writing & reading fanfiction since I was teenager! I have a healthy back catalogue in various fandoms if you're interested, which you can find on AO3.

I'm currently deep in the Supernatural trenches. I write a lot of Destiel but I'm a proud multishipper and rare pair shipper, so I do post other pairings occasionally!

Tissue Series

These pieces are made of Japanese mulberry paper and the gilded edges of old books. They are constructed by a technique of rolling and shaping narrow strips of paper called quilling or paper filigree. Quilling was first practiced by Renaissance nuns and monks who are said to have made artistic use of the gilded edges of worn out bibles, and later by 18th century ladies who made artistic use of lots of free time.

Draggin Cas into Restraintstiel Week

I keep having Thoughts about Ellen & Dean and Dean & Claire that I can’t quite articulate.

Like there’s this kid. They are not in any way your kid, but you knew their parents and you’ve got a solidly deep relationship with the closest thing they’ve got left to a father. The kid got tied into the bullshit life y’all lead way too young and despite everyone’s advice — including yours — the kid will not get out of the life. So like what do you even do? You smack him a little and tell him to put you on speed dial; you give her the resources to do research so that she doesn’t go into a situation blind, and a gun, and look the other way when she steals an angel sword. You care about the damn kid against your will even when they’re spiteful and snappy at you and you’ve got your own damn child who’s doing their own stupid shit but you can’t help but care about this dipshit little punk who keeps coming across your life.

(And then you die, horridly, and can’t keep an eye on any of the kids, your own or the fucker who keeps wandering into your heart against your will, and if you weren’t already dead that would probably kill you)
