there should have been nothing comforting about anything a villain said to her, ever, and yet somehow… somehow something about all of that was. in some sick way. but it didn’t last long before suddenly felicity was speaking again, and she hated herself for it.

“ the green arrow, I work with the green arrow and my father is — the calculator.” that was what he went by, wasn’t it?

“You know, when you said you were a supervillain’s kid, I assumed you probably had a real criminal in your family tree. Calculator isn’t much of a supervillain. He’s more like a glorified source or fence. Guy thinks that giving people tips and ratting everyone out makes him untouchable, but there’s a reason he stays anonymous. Or tries to. But really, all this angst over him? Really? Not like you’re one of my kids. Calculator is small time. A guy more paranoid than anything else.”

Admittedly, Killgrave had used him once or twice. But at the same time, Killgrave didn’t have much of a good opinion about anyone. As far as he was concerned, Calculator was a nobody. A guy who never got his hands dirty.

“And you work with off-brand batman too? You really do seem to collect all the second best guys. I’m probably the first legitimate person you’ve ever encountered. Though that does raise a question or two...” He wouldn’t. “Tell me if you know the green arrow’s real name, and if so, tell me what it is.” He totally would. Not that Killgrave cared, because he could just ask the man himself. But he knew she would hate it, and thus he would enjoy dragging it out of her.

“Okay, while I hate the idea of comforting anyone, I can say for certain that you’re no supervillain. Supervillains require a few things. Aesthetic, for one. Intent, for another. You don’t accidentally become a supervillain. You can be a villain with powers, or a criminal, but not a supervillain. Supervillainy is a rather exclusive club. And you clearly have too much caring to be a part of that.”

Really, were there so few good supervillains that random people were thinking every act of evil counted towards it? Really.

“Alright then, tell me who you work with, and tell me who this supervillain father is. I might know them, given I’ve worked with quite a few.” None of them liked Killgrave of course, but still.

Bekah’s eyes widened and she shook her head weakly, hearing his comment. “N-No I wouldn’t like that…” She stammered in disbelief. “I-I thought the rumors about you were over exaggerating…” She mumbled, feeling an odd sense of pride that she was making a good footstool.

“Oh no, if anything they undersell me. Everyone thinks they exaggerate, until they learn better. Now as for you, you’re just happy to be the best footstool ever. In fact, you’re thinking of doing it full time. After all, it’s rewarding to serve people like this, isn’t it?”

“I have telekinesis.” Bekah told the man trying to look at him, before continuing. “I can’t use it to move myself and if something is to heavy I get bad headaches and some times nose bleeds. My name’s Bekah Barber and I’m in school to get a business degree.”

“So you wouldn’t like it if I did something like, say, told you to kill a bunch of people in broad daylight with dozens of witnesses.” Yeah, definitely the wrong person to get involved with. “Well, it seems like you’re a fool, at least as a hero. You make a good footstool though. So you can take pride in that.”

“I am a footstool.” Bekah said as if it were the most natural thing in the world. “My powers developed as a teenager and a ran away from home because of it.” She explained to the man. “I’ve been living here since trying to keep the city clean as best as I can.”

“Tell me what your powers are, and who you are. Do be specific and detailed.” After all, he needed to know what he was dealing with, before he ruined her life.

I definitely want to come up with AU’s for killgrave. lots and lots of aus.

Bekah let out a soft groan as she felt his feet on her back. “Because I’m not just a random stranger.” She argued, trying to force his feet off of her with her telekinesis. “I’m a hero.”

“No, you’re a footstool. Say it: I am a footstool.” He’s going to humiliate her no matter what. “But since you’re feeling talkative, tell me about yourself, hero.”

“So you’re... what? Supergirl? Sounds somewhat demeaning. Usually, that’s my job.”

Bekah had caught wind of Kilgrave coming into town and had gone to try and stop him from doing anything. “I’m here to keep you out of my town.” Bekah informed the man, before getting on her hands and knees as he instructed.

“You’re doing a great job of that, clearly.” Yep, he’s just putting his feet on her back, using her as a footstool. “Tell me why you thought you could possibly do that. I’m already amused that a random stranger thinks they can stop me from doing anything.”

Be kind in the RPC in 2020

Be kind to veteran RPers. Especially if you are also one. You’ve both been doing this a long time. Long enough to develop your own ways of writing that work for you. You have spent your time differently and their differing writing style shows how unique each of your portrayals are. We all develop differently. No one is doing it “wrong”.

Be kind to new RPers. Don’t chase new writers out of the community because they don’t immediately meet your standards. Don’t put them down because they’re learning. Don’t shun them because they haven’t learned to make their own icons, graphics or themes. If they make a mistake, help them to learn. Don’t isolate them for being the person we all were at one time. Your seniority is not an excuse to be rude or hurtful. No one has been at this “too long to be nice”. No one’s “too old to have patience”.

Be kind to RPers of all skill levels. Don’t mock those who use flowery language or purple prose in their threads. They are writing what makes them happy and if their partners are okay with it then what is the harm? Don’t mock RPers who need extra time to write long replies because they’re not used to writing. Don’t send hurtful anons to writers threading with popular blogs about how they “aren’t good enough” to write with their partners. That is for their partner to decide, not anyone else.

Be kind to RPers who have firm rules. They are that way for a reason. Maybe someone hurt them before and that’s why so many rules on their blogs are necessary. You don’t know. Don’t attack others for having a lot of rules. And be kind to RPers who are very lenient in their rules. Don’t take advantage of a person’s lack of hard boundaries.

Be kind to RPers who ship your NOTPs. If you are against a ship and you see another RPer shipping it… You do not have to tell them how much you dislike the ship. You don’t have to tell them anything. Your personal preferences aren’t another RPer’s fault. As long as no laws are being broken in the writing of this ship, be kind and let others have fun in their own way.
