thinking back, they made royal feel way too cheery as a game, especially with take over as the main battle theme, the original persona 5 wasn't smt levels dark but it was dark enough, but royal comes in and it feels like going from being rated for teens to being rated for kids almost (even though the story was largely intact)

#i say this as someone who enjoyed royal a lot more but when i look back the original felt just right

i watched the persona 4 revival gameplay video they just released, and im quite serious when i say they need to make these games harder with all the new ways you can stun lock enemies into winning everytime, it does get a bit tedious when all you do is weakness into 4 baton passes, and now this whole blocking to stun and spreading ailments and prime time just makes it even easier to kill everyone before they even get a chance to attack back (even on merciless its far too easy)

this is cool but man they just remove every little bit of challenge unless you're purposely not interacting with the new mechanics

#look i get these games arent meant to be hard but that should be for the normal experience #if im playing merciless or hard mode i want there to be some difficulty that doesnt feel like im spamming weaknesses and OP abilities #that dont allow the enemy to even respond

ive been spending the last few days addicted to terraria again with the new update so if anyone was wondering why im not posting ill be binging through until ive finished it again
