Pascha redesign… she’s basically unrecognizable here because I gave her a complete design overhaul, but it was desperately needed

Design notes + old design below!

This was WAY overdue because not only is her old ref almost 3 years old now, but also because I’ve been unhappy with the design pretty much since I first designed her. Until now, I couldn’t figure out what kind of design to give her, but now that artfight is approaching, I gave her design another shot, and I think it improved a bunch!

My main issues with the old design were 1. she didn’t look like a manul and 2. the design felt boring and slightly uncanny because of the ears. While the odd ears were interesting at first, they don’t make much sense for a manul character because they have tiny ears due to living in cold climates.

With the outfit, I wanted to give the impression of an animal suited for a colder climate while still keeping it practical for the environment she actually lives in. Since she lives in a warm intermediate climate, giving her winter clothes to signify her species would make her overheat, so I used a cool color palette instead. I also added references to Cordelia and Flynn in the accessories :3
