The time you lost weight far too rapidly because you were heartbroken and thought shrinking yourself would make you more visible. Mumma bellies. Breasts swelling, or deflating. Thighs and calfs that bulged when the only thing that sated your anger or panic attacks was pounding the pavement with your feet, running till your lungs seared with pain and masochism quietened your mind. The results of hormone replacement therapy and the passage of time wherein the reflection in the mirror abates the life long dysphoria. Realising that feeding yourself is loving yourself; nourishing your body because you know your worth and the sanctity of your vessel, not to mention that those that loved you would love you all the more for it. Celebrate those history lines. At the very least, accept them. They are your story and yours alone. - Francesca Paige
