eastlondonprintmakers: “london print studio presents Unfold, an exhibition highlighting the quality and variety of contemporary artists’ books and designs. Have a look - here”
Hey everyone! It's a brand new semester, and it's great to be back in the studio working. Our etching press was looking pretty rough at the beginning of the summer, but with the help of some very talented and hard working people, it's gotten an AWESOME new makeover. Feels like a whole new press. Very excited for the start of a new semester. We've got a lot planned, including participating in #PrintOctober, which starts tomorrow. We'll be posting a photo of one of our members' work every day. Check back soom to see some awesome Pussycat Press talent.

PUSSYCAT PRESS SPRING FUNDRAISER AND RAFFLE - April 23rd, 2013 at the Beach Museum of Art in Manhattan, Kansas
It was a cold, snowy day in Manhattan, but Pussycat Press was keeping warm with a bunch of our supporters at our big spring fundraiser! We had a great turn out this year, and we sold a lot of prints to a lot of happy art lovers. We also raffled off some incredible works of art by Jason Scuilla, Dan Dallmann, Ke Francis, Teresa Schmidt and Marvin Gould, along with Pussycat Press members and alumni. Attendees also had a great time trying out the printmaking process with a fun woodblock demo. Pussycat Press is forever appreciative of the support we have from our community, and would like to thank everyone that came out to the Beach Museum of Art today as well as those that donated and bought work from us. Here's to another great year of K-State Printmaking!
Be sure to check out the rest of the photos from the event on our Facebook!
Dan Dallmann Visits Pussycat Press!
Last week Kansas State University Printmaking welcomed Dan Dallmann, Printmaking professor at the Tyler School of Art in Philidelphia, into our studio. The artist gave a lecture on Thursday night over his work, and spent Thursday and Friday in the shop printing a multi-color plate litho with printmaking students. Check out the rest of the photos from his visit on our Facebook!
Daniel Dallman vists K-State
Today Pussycat Press welcomes Daniel Dallman to our studio! Dan will be here today and tomorrow printing a multi-plate color litho in our shop. Stop by between 9am-1pm to hear him talk about his work and create a print from start to finish. He will also be giving a talk on his work tonight at 5:45pm. Stop by if you can, or check back here in the next couple days for photos!
Pussycat Press learns to Screenprint!
Our screenprinting set up here at K-state is pretty new, and 2 of our members, co-presidents Jolynn and Kyle, volunteered to put on a workshop for anyone who wanted to attend to demonstrate two different approaches to the process. We had a lot of fun, made some awesome art, and look forward to what our students will do with screenprinting in the future!
PRINT MKE - SGCI 2013
Pussycat Press had a great time last week in Milwaukee for the 2013 Southern Graphic's International Conference. 8 current students, 2 alumni and our professor withstood the chilly weather for a few days of printmaking fun. I'm sure you ran into one or more of us at the open portfolio and hopefully picked up a postcard. Can't wait for next year! Check out our Facebook for more photos from Milwaukee!
BASICALLY #SGCI2013
Managed to get all of Pussycat Press together for a group photo one morning in chilly Milwaukee during Print MKE. What a great conference!
Seriously.
Pussycat Press is going to SGCI 2013!
And we're going in style. Look out for our members who will be handing out these Pussycat Press showcards or representing with Pussycat Press t-shirts. If you see any of us come say hi and learn more about the printmaking program here at Kansas State, or chat with us about your work or where you're from. Also, check out our members in the open portfolio, there are several of us participating! Don't forget to check back here during/after for photos and posts about the conference. You can also follow us on Twitter or like us on Facebook. Milwaukee here we come!
