𝚃𝙷𝙰𝚃  𝚆𝙰𝚂 𝙳𝙴𝙵𝙸𝙽𝙸𝚃𝙴𝙻𝚈  𝙾𝙽𝙴  𝙾𝙵  𝚃𝙷𝙴𝙼. perhaps  one  of  steve's  biggest  flaws  was  his  inability  to  not  worry,  failing  to  leave  the  fighter  within  himself  asleep.  thankfully  he  hadn't  done  that  and  now  was  ready  for  that  battle  that  again  was  upon  him  and  all  those  around.  he  knew  that  most  of  the  people  present  were  more  than  capable  of  defending  themselves  (  even  those  without  special  powers  or  genetic  mutations ),  but  he  had  made  an oath to always protect and now he would enforce his promise. with a quick movement, the  captain  america  set  his  shield  close  to  his  body,  as  the  former  ally  ready  to  face  this  new  fight.  however,  his  attention  was  fixed  on  an  older  and  more  important  ally,  someone  who  would  always  be  steve's  priority.  ❝ and  you  were  judging  me  about  the  shield. ❞ that  moment  wasn’t right  for  teasing,  but  he  couldn’t  miss  the  chance. ❝ eyes  up,  barnes.  stay  behind  me ! ❞ it  wasn't  an  order  and  part  of  him  knew  that  bucky  wouldn't  stay  behind  him, but  steve  would  always  try  to  protect  𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚢𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐  and  wouldn't  allow  anything  bad  to  happen  to  him  again.

      ❝ you  gotta  be  shitting  me !  what  are  those  things  ? ❞ he  knew  that  his  friend  would  not  have  the  answers  either,  but  he  couldn't  not  to  curse. ❝ if  this  is  ultron  again  i  swear ! ❞ but  these  robotic  creatures  looked  nothing  like  the  ones  he  had  met back  in  sokovia. ❝ 𝙱𝚄𝙲𝙺𝚈,  𝚆𝙰𝚃𝙲𝙷  𝙾𝚄𝚃 ! ❞ steve  shouted  as  he  threw  himself  at bucky,  trying  to  deflect  him  from  a  laser  beam  from  the  metal  creature. ❝ you’re  okay ? ❞ he  asked  worriedly,  touching  his  friend's  face  while  looking  for  any  injuries left  by  the  attack.  ❝ i  can’t  let  them hurt  you  !  ❞

       *   𝙿𝙰𝚁𝚃𝙸𝙴𝚂  𝙻𝙸𝙺𝙴  𝚃𝙷𝙰𝚃  𝚂𝚄𝚁𝙴𝙻𝚈  𝚆𝙴𝚁𝙴  𝙽𝙾𝚃  𝚂𝚃𝙴𝚅𝙴  𝚁𝙾𝙶𝙴𝚁𝚂'𝚂  𝙽𝙰𝚃𝚄𝚁𝙰𝙻  𝙷𝙰𝙱𝙸𝚃𝙰𝚃 and  he  was  very aware  of  that  ━━  however , the  eternal  debt  he  would  have  with  tony  stark  was  a  big reason  why  he  was  there,  smiling  at  everyone  with  some  excitement.  perhaps,  another  big  reason  was  that  steve  felt  a  need  to  keep  an  eye  on all  the  new  guests,  people  that  for  sure  weren't  in  their  original  place,  people  that  he  didn't  knew  and  as  far  as  he  knew, could  be  very  dangerous. the  captain  felt   responsible  for  these  people,  he  felt  their  anguish, and  feared  that  their  feelings  might become  too  overwhelming,  making  them  dangerous  to  themselves  and  other  innocent  people. it  wasn't  long  before  he  noticed  that  there  were  not  only  heroes  there, something  that  alarmed  him, but  he  had  decided  to  act  until  it  was  necessary.

      ❝ i  see  you  are  recovering  well,  miss  grey; i  am glad  to  see  you  are  here  tonight. ❞ he  smiled  at  the  young  girl, the  girl  who  looked  so  fragile  when  she  arrived  but  now  looked  strong  again. he  was  proud  of  her.  ❝ how  you  feeling  tonight  jean  ?  do  you  need  anything  ?  ❞ steve  couldn't  help  but  worry  about  her. ❝ i'm  not  much  of  a  party  guy  myself,  but i  hope  you’re  having  fun. i  know  very  well  that this  is  all  a  bit  intimidating.  ❞ he  offered,  looking  at  her. ❝ have  yo u had  a  chance  to  meet  someone  from  here ?  maybe  recognize  someone  from  your  time... made  new  friends ? ❞

   of  all  the  problems  he’d  carry  within  him,  the  feeling  of  loneliness  was  one  of  the  worst.  it  acted  as  a  lever  for  many  other  struggles  ―  a  fuel  for  the  apprehension  of  not  knowing  what  to  do  next;  or  where  to  go.  after  so  many  years  as  an  empty  shell  of  a  man,  waiting  for  new  mission  orders,  bucky  would  feel  adrift  and  isolated  inside  of  his  own  doubts.  free  from  the  searing  grip  of  his  handlers,  but  alone  to  find  his  place  in  a  world  that  had  changed  completely,  while  he  was  motionless.  stuck.  lost  & trying  to  reclaim  his  own  mind.  the  man  would  often  feel  as  if  he  didn’t  belong  there  ―  almost  as  if  the  destiny  itself  had  forgot  about  him,  leaving  james  with  a  void  in  the  place  that  should  be  occupied  by  his  own  life.  his  path  would  lead  him  to  death  ends  and  chaos,  but  never  to  a  place  he  would  call  home.  never  to  a  place  where  he’d  feel  safe;  barely  aware  that  he  wouldn’t  find  home  in  a  place,  but  in  a  person.  it  took  bucky  a  while,  between  fights & wars,  among  his  fears  and  the  desire  to  simply  disappear.  but  he  realized  that  steve  was  what  he  was  looking  for,  all  the  time.  that,  just  like  before,  the  other  man  was  more  to  him  than  he  could’ve  imagine.

   it  was  one  of  the  reasons  that  led  bucky  to  always  fight  ―  against  enemies  and  against  his  own  self,  even  when  he  was  too  tired  to  do  so.  and  the  the  same  motive  that  would  push  him  to  hide  his  struggles;  as  he’d  never  allow  himself  to  further  afflict  rogers’s  life.  unlike  many,  james  was  aware  that  steve  had  his  very  own  silent  battles  ―  that  would  go  beyond  anyone’s  knowledge;  and  even  bucky  couldn’t  tell  how  far  back  it  would  drag  his  friend’s  spirit  to.  so  he  wouldn’t  be  selfish  to  drag  steve  to  his  own  mess;  he’d  fight  that  battle  by  himself,  quietly.  not  being  a  burden  to  a  man  that  had  lost  too  much  already.  barnes  would  smile  and  act  as  normal  as  possible  ―  pushing  his  fears  &  problems  aside  in  order  to  help  his  best  friend  with  whatever  he  needed.  ready  to  follow  him,  living  up  to  the  words  said  almost  a  lifetime  ago.  silently  loving  him,  as  he  always  did,  in  order  to  keep  their  friendship  untouched.  stilly  feeling  a  bit  more  like  himself  everytime  steve  was  around,  like  he  was  back  home

   something  that  would  inevitably  allow  barnes  to  relax  a  bit,  to  breathe  in  and  feel  the  tensions  slowing  retreating.  even  the  recurrent nightmares  would  sound  unimportant  as  the  man  would  feel,  at  last,  safe.     “  are  you  really  messing  with  me  right  now,  rogers?  i’m  unreadable.  „     a  partial  lie,  as  bucky  was  almost  unpredictable  even  for  himself  ―  but,  somehow,  not  to  steve,  something  the  man  was  glad  about.     “  i  think  it’s  good…  but  don’t  feel  too  cocky  about  it.  „   bucky’s  tone  was  now  a  bit  more  firm  than  before;  a  discreet  way  for  him  to  reassure,  as  the  hesitation  on  the  other’s  voice  was  more  than  clear  to  his  ears.  just  as  rogers  could  read  him  easily,  james  was  aware  that  he  could  identify  even  the slighest  nuances  coming  from  his  best  friend;  a  thought  that  was  almost  able  to  draw  a  new  smile  from  him.  instead,  however,  james  just  sighed  once  more;  a  reaction  caused  by  steve’s  words.     “  steve…  „   the  soldier  even  tried  to  start  ―  but  he  gave  up  after  a  few  seconds.  it  wasn’t  the  time  or  place  to  talk  about  it;  and  bucky  knew  more  than  to  just  coax  his  best  friend  into  a  subject  he  wasn’t  comfortable  with,  even  more  as  it  was  also  fair  to  say  james  wasn’t  either.  

   the  train.  the  snap.  and  everything  in  between;  all  scenarios  to  bucky’s  nightmares.  and  even  then,  he  couldn’t  blame  steve  for  any  of  it.  he  wouldn’t  dare  to  wander  that  far  from  the  reality,  where  his  best  friend  had  absolutely  no  share  on  the  blame  ―  after  all,  it wasn’t rogers  that  had  thrown  bucky  off  a  train.  it  wasn’t  him  to  put  barnes’  brain  into  decades  of  torture  and  brainwashing  until  his  very  spirit  was  broken.  nor  steve  was  the  one  to  drag  his  friend  back  to  the  vicious  circle  of  fights  and  wars,  that  ended  up  with  a  snap.  but  it  was  steve,  however,  that  brought  bucky  back.  who  had  fought  for  him  in  any  imaginable  way.  and  the  fact  that  rogers  couldn’t  see  it  was  distressing.  but,  once  again.  not  the  time;  not  the  place.  bucky’s  attention  was  completely  on  the  other  man  ―  a  worried  gaze  hovering  all  over  him  in  order  to  find  any  sign  that  steve  wasn’t  as  good  as  he’d  say.     “  you  can’t  sleep,  buddy?  what  is  happening?  „   and,  althought  his  tone  was  filled  with  concern,  bucky  couldn’t  help  but  smile  at  steve’s  final  sentence.     “  i’m  gonna  answer  it  either  way.  it  makes  you  a  little  punk.  but  also  smart.  it’s  always  a  good  strategy…  a  bit  of  distrust  can  push  you  to  get  ready  for  the  worst.  it  makes  your  reaction  time  shorter  and  we  know  it  can  be  the  difference  between  victory  and  defeat.  you  just…  can’t  allow  the  distrust  to  reign  over  you.  it’s  dangerously  dumb  to  be  willingly  ignorant.  but  you  know  that,  right, captain  america?  „  

  bucky,  then,  rolled  his  eyes  ―  just  to  go  back  at  looking  at  rogers  the  second  after.  his  hand,  still  on  the  other  man’s  shoulder,  would  allow  the  digits  to  create  a  slightly  stronger  pressure;  once  again,  trying  to  reassure  his  friend.  an  act  that  would  be  followed  by  a  genuine  smile.     “  a  strong  word  to  fit  a  strong  man.  you,  in  that  case.  don’t  make  me  punch  the  sense  into  your  head.  you’re  strong.  you’re  a  hero.  deal  with  it.  „   james  said,  believing  every  single  word.  his  best  friend  was  the  strongest  person  he  had  known  ―  and  not  just  physically.  loyal,  brave,  honest  to  a  fault.  headstrong,  resilient  &  with  a  strong  sence  of  justice.  the  next  second,  however,  barnes  frowned slightly.  and,  then,  he laughed.  it  wasn’t  a  loud  nor  long  one,  but  it  was  enough  to  make  his  mood  a  bit  better.     “  you’re  fooling  yourself,  pal.  they  were  complaining  about  the  snores  coming  from your  room.  really,  i  can  hear  it  through  the  wall.  „   while  he  talked,  bucky  moved  a  bit  on  the  soft  mattress,  allowing  steve  to  lay  by  his  side  ―  while  trying  to  ignore  how  his  heart  would  beat  a  bit  faster  because  of  it.     “  i’ll  try  not  to  hog  the  blankets,  but  i  can’t  promise.  you  may  be  up  to  getting  back  to  your  popsicle  form  tonight,  cap.  and…  indeed  you  are  not.  god,  i  had  forgotten  how  little  you  used  to  be.  „   bucky  said  while  turning  his  face  so  he  could,  again,  stare  at  his  best  friend,  by  his  side.     “ things  changed  a  lot,  didn’t  it?  and  yet,  here  we  are.  i’m  glad  to  have  you  around  again,  steve.  „

        *   𝚂𝙾𝙼𝙴𝚃𝙸𝙼𝙴𝚂 𝚂𝚃𝙴𝚅𝙴 𝚁𝙾𝙶𝙴𝚁𝚂 𝙰𝙻𝙻𝙾𝚆𝙴𝙳 𝙷𝙸𝙼𝚂𝙴𝙻𝙵 𝚃𝙾 𝙱𝙴𝙻𝙸𝙴𝚅𝙴 𝙸𝙽 𝙰 𝙵𝚄𝚃𝚄𝚁𝙴 𝚆𝙷𝙴𝚁𝙴 𝙱𝚄𝙲𝙺𝚈 𝚂𝚃𝙾𝙾𝙳 𝙱𝙴𝚂𝙸𝙳𝙴 𝙷𝙸𝙼. of course, he knew it was just a childish fantasy of a boy who would always love his best friend with all his heart, but it was something that made him want to continue even at the most difficult times. this was one of the moments when steve could forget about the rest of the world and focus only on bucky's pair of blue eyes, those eyes that would always be his favorites. ❝ you are not as unreadable as you think you are, barnes. not to me. i will always be able to read among your deepest thoughts. ❞ or at least, it was what captain america liked to believe. he knew that bucky was not in perfect harmony with his own mind, which he'd probably would never be after what hydra had done to him for so many years.just the thought of all the evil they had done to Bucky was enough for steve's fists to clench. he felt an overwhelming anger at the men who hurt his best friend, his everything. but he could not let such bad thoughts show in front of James. all the other man least needed now was more negativity in his so complicated life. ❝ and right now i can read that... i can read you’re in need of some good sleep. ❞ and steve could tell that because he shared that need.

        ❝ and me ? cocky ? how dare you, buck ?  ❞ there was amusement in his voice, joy that only buck could bring him. it was incredible how only the presence of his oldest friend seemed to be enough to bring real joy steve's world. for several years ━━ he had felt nothing like this and couldn't wait to feel more, to feel whatever bucky was willing to give it to him. ❝ you are the cocky one. remember that day when we went to stark’s expo ? ❞ he teased smiling, that was one of his favorite memories from back the days where he wasn’t captain america. ❝ you are the cocky one. remember that day when we went to stark’s expo ? ❞ the private moment suddenly seemed heavy, bucky's voice so impactful that steve took a deep breath again.❝ buck... we don’t have to talk about that. we don’t have to talk about anything if you don’t want to. ❞ his hand went to his best friend's face, his thumb gently touching his cheek.   

       *    𝚂𝚃𝙴𝚅𝙴 𝙳𝙸𝙳𝙽'𝚃 𝙺𝙽𝙾𝚆 𝚆𝙷𝙰𝚃 𝚃𝚈𝙿𝙴𝚂 𝙾𝙵 𝙽𝙸𝙶𝙷𝚃𝙼𝙰𝚁𝙴 𝙷𝙰𝙳 𝙱𝙴𝙴𝙽 𝙸𝙽 𝙱𝚄𝙲𝙺𝚈'𝚂 𝙼𝙸𝙽𝙳, 𝙱𝚄𝚃 𝙸𝙵 𝚈𝙾𝚄 𝙲𝙾𝚄𝙻𝙳 𝚃𝙰𝙺𝙴 𝙸𝚃 𝙰𝙻𝙻 𝚃𝙾 𝙷𝙸𝙼𝚂𝙴𝙻𝙵. he couldn't even imagine the things they did to bucky, all those thoughts that made his heart ache and the agony of being responsible for the suffering of the one in the world who loved more than anything making him want to drop everything. he didn’t deserved to be with bucky now ━━ but there he was and bucky was accepting his presence, which made the pain inside him lessen a little. ❝ nothing !  ❞ his words were fast, worrying buck was something he wouldn't allow himself to do. ❝ is that... with all this happening. it's very tiring, you know ? all these lost children and I have no idea what to do to really help them. i want to, i need to help, but... without quite knowing what is going on, i don't think I'm very helpful. ❞ that was a feeling he couldn't share with anyone else, but trusting his bucky was natural for steve. a smile soon widening on the cap’s tired face ❝ god. don’t call me that ! it makes me want to salute the flag and punch hitler in the face... again ! ❞ it might just sound like a joke to the other man, but while standing next to bucky, steve didn't have to be anything but steve. ❝ soon i must announce a meeting with everyone we know to... you know. see what we will do. ❞ 

      *     𝙰𝙶𝙰𝙸𝙽, 𝙷𝙴 𝙱𝚁𝙴𝙰𝚃𝙷𝙴𝙳 𝙷𝙴𝙰𝚅𝙸𝙻𝚈, 𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝙼𝙴𝙽𝚃𝙸𝙾𝙽 𝙾𝙵 𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝚁𝙴𝚂𝚃 𝙾𝙵 𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝙰𝚅𝙴𝙽𝙶𝙴𝚁𝚂 𝙼𝙰𝙺𝙸𝙽𝙶 𝙷𝙸𝙼 𝚁𝙴𝙼𝙴𝙼𝙱𝙴𝚁 about stark’s party. ❝ oh, and... i don't know if it's a good idea or how is your relationship, i hope good, but... ❞ steve was sure that he was blushing and was thankful that it was so dark, hoping that bucky could not see his red cheeks. ❝ tony is having a party and i thought... ❞ he sputtered, feeling ashamed of himself. ❝ i thought maybe we could go together, you know ?  ❞ he invited bucky faster than he wanted to, but hoping his trembling words would made sense to his best friend. ❝ we don't have to stay long or any of that. in fact, I don't intend to stay more than a few hours. ❞ even after the request, he spoke nervously, afraid of the reaction bucky would have. ❝ I don't want you to feel obligated to accept it or anything. but, I think it could be good for us. relax a little. then we can come back and watch netflix, as young people say. you know, t owe tony this and i have to go. i just tought... I think it would be better if you were by my side. ❞

‘ Are you hurt? ‘ that was a tricky question, physically she was fine, absolutely fine. The hurt was elsewhere, it originated from deeper within, from among the complexities of logic and emotions. She peered up at him with furrowed brows, really focusing on not breaking down infront of him. “I-I’m not sure if we have met in my..dimension but…oh how stupid of me” flustered she palmed at her forehead and tried to force a smile, it didn’t happen “I’m Gwen.” she answered softly “Gwen Stacy. Um..Spider woman “ she supplied helpfully. A traitorous tear formed too fast and  dripped down her cheek “And I killed someone so close to my heart and he’s here “ she paused, feeling she burst into what would have become a rambling session “P-peter Parker…in my dimension he was my best friend..i saw him recently and he looked to me as if i were a complete stranger..” she scoffed, she didn’t blame him.

              ❝ hey, it’s okay ! take your time. i am not going to leave you, i promise !  ❞ it was evident to steve that the younger girl was more than just upset, he could see the tears in her eyes and that made his heart ache after all, he had been through this situation before and would never forget what it was like to wake up in a strange place. far from everything you have ever known —  and alone. a type of loneliness that could be overwhelming. ❝ hello gwen, i’m steve and it’s nice to meet you !  I know this whole situation is terrifying and you're scared, but you're not alone. ❞ he put his other hand on her shoulder, bringing her to a hug, hoping that could be enough to calm her down. ❝ it’s okay, you can cry. don’t worry. ❞ he continued to hold for gwen for a few more moments before releasing her, wiping her tears and looking at her gently. ❝ oh, my dear. i am so sorry to hear this. but I'm pretty sure it was an accident, wasn't it ? it was not your intention not your fault. ❞ his words were kind, but he couldn’t help to make a mental note to keep an eye on the girl, afraid that she might hurt someone again. ❝ peter parker ? ❞ he felt the hit. peter was kid and steve would never allow nothing bad to happen to him again, but gwen seemed so upset he would give her the benefit of the doubt. ❝ i know this can be really hard. trust me, i know what it’s like. my best friend, everything i had... he once looked at me and saw nothing but his mission. a target to destroy. ❞ and steve would never forget that look, the pain that was still inside his chest. ❝ we are going to find a way, alright ? you and me. together !  ❞

He intently watched how those lips seemed to quiver before a smile curved them up, as if the Cap had tried to put up a tiny fight and that made him sigh, why couldn’t this man just chill?! Smile and laugh and frolic in the gardens freely?? “Well, Steve I’d like to talk about our future together? Where do we go from here – it’s a song, called Where do we go from here, you should check it out on Youtube. It’s by Ruelle or something. “ The Cap was speaking against and Wade batted his lashes in the most innocent manner before that term s o n was dropped on his eyes. Gasping dramatically he shuddered and grabbed at his own head “ Grandpa?! “ and as if fully offended he pointed a finger in Steve’s face “ Listen here you– you illegally hunky man, you! We were having a moment here! I even called you beautiful and I used the word fuck once!! Then you go and call me son – fuc–fudge! do you see how it looks to everyone now! “ and he proceeded to vaguely point at the many other people on the dash right now!! “and yes! Your ass is fucking lit but I don’t like you just cuz of that bubble butt but I like you for who you are!” he huffed and crossed his arms, not being able to stay mad at him he tapped his foot with a grumble of “ yeah that clown’s fine, IT 2 comes out soon, we can make a movie date out of it.” and then hopeful, wide eyes looked Steve’s way.

    her  tolerance  was  starting  to  wane  as  she  waited  for  an  answer.  it  wasn’t  hard  to  take  a  guess  ―  that  would  be,  most  likely,  wrong.  but  the  man  was  motionless  and  harley  even  realized  that  the  air  was  trapped  in  his  lungs;  as  if  he  was  so  tense  he  wouldn’t   dare  to  take  a  breathe  -  maybe  try  hitting  him  with  a  baseball  bat,  he’d  probably  reat  to  that.     “  oh  my,  come  on,  sugar  bear!  tik-tok,  tik-tok.  it  isn’t  this  hard  to  at  least  try―  …  „     her  words  were,  however,  cut  by  another  voice.  a  strange  one,  coming  from  an  unknown  man;  that  immediately  got  quinzel’s  attention.     “  ahn?  „     the  woman  said,  narrowing  her  eyes  a  bit.    “  and  you  are… ?  „     her  tone  was  suspicious  ―  although  being  part  of  a theatrical  reaction.  a  smile  soon  took  her  features,  harley’s  gaze  then  going  back  to  the  first  man  she  was  dealing  with.     “  oh  uh,  are  you  a  brucey  as  well?  we  have  our  own!  „     and  then,  her  attention  was  back  to  the  newcomer.     “  but  our  bruce  doesn’t  dress  like  he’s  going  on  a  granola  run  for  a  cult…  no  offense.  „     beside  the  point.     “  anyways,  yay,  a  tour!  bye  poor  brucey.  „     quinzel  said  before  she  happily  followed  the  other  man,  unbothered.     “  so,  do  we  have  mini-fridges  in  our  rooms  or  i’ll  have  to  go  out  and  steal  one?  „      twisting  her  lips,  the  woman  looked  away  for  a  few  seconds  ―   just  to  smile  again  at  his  words;  a  bit  more  maliciously  than  before.     “  you  know  about  it,  huh?  the  voices.  they  never  shut  up…  right  now  they’re  telling  me  to  crazy  murder everyone  in  their  sleep,  so  no  biggie.  and  what  else  have  you  heard  about  me?  people  can  be  such  tattletales,  where’s  the  fun  on  that?!  „

          steve liked to be proud of his observational skills , skills that were helpful at various times in his life , and this one particular moment was no different. with all those new faces and even some familiar people who also seemed lost and out of time ― the captain couldn't keep his empathy from speaking louder at those moments , being willing to help anyone who seemed to need his help even if it wasn't that obvious. therefore, fearing that something bad might happen, interfering at that moment seemed like the right thing to do. ❝ oh, i am sorry, miss quinzel ! my name is steve rogers. but just steve is good. ❞ he didn't feel he needed to report anything else, after all it was just what he was at that moment. ❝ i’m from here. this dimension. and I'm trying to help people like you, who are very far from home. ❞ it was a feeling he deeply understood. offering the blonde woman a smile, steve nodded at the man, who seemed ready to leave. ❝ yes, i haven't had a chance to meet him yet, but soon i hope.. and this bruce... well he isn’t like your bruce. and i believe he can be way more dangerous if he is angry. ❞  steve didn't want to go into more detail because he wasn't entitled to share such personal information about his old friend, especially with someone he barely knew and could be potentially dangerous. ❝ so, let’s keep moving, hm ? i think i got a lot of things to show it to you !  ❞ he wasn't in charge of introducing new residents to their new homes, but he felt the need to do so. ❝ oh, there is no need for stealing anything.  the rooms are provided with all the needs of its residents. ❞ he hoped all the things that were put into the bedrooms would be enough for everyone, but he could not be sure if people he didn’t knew. ❝ i’ve read a lot of things about you miss quinzel and believe it was bruce who provided me all this information. or maybe diana ? ❞ however, the woman’s words were enough to keep steve alert. ❝ well i hope we can keep those bad thoughts away from your head. ❝ i think you'll like it here. it’s a good place for new beginnings.❞ a cool smile on his lips. ❝ and i’ve heard a lot. where do you want me to start ? ❞

         he sighed deeply, hearing the words of the amazon. steve shared with her an equal feeling, that sensation within him, but he knew the woman had carried a far greater burden than his own. ❝ i understand miss prince. i believe i feel the same way... not exactly the same, after all your experiences are unique and... i don't even know how to describe it. ❞ a soft smile on his lips as he gazed the woman, wondering how many battles she had fought and how many wars she had battled. ❝ yes i did. i am what i am today because of war, because i lost someone who was very dearly to me and since that day i couldn't stop fighting anymore. until my last day, i’m afraid so.  ❞ steve would never able to forgive himself for all the lives he lost, the friends that were taken from him. ❝ ares ? the greek god ? ❞ he didn't doubt that, steve had heard so much about the wonder woman and believed that nothing was impossible for her. ❝ and unfortunately, i have to agree with you. humanity is too complicated. every day we have to fight for something, fight for ourselves. ❞ and steve was well aware what was to never stop fighting. ❝ but, at least, we don’t have to fight on our own. and now, besides all the chaos, i am glad i had the chance to meet a woman like you and maybe in the future , i will have the honor to fight by your side. ❞

Head ducked with a rather large, hot-pink hoodie on, Gwen was almost sneaking around the HQ, trapped in her thoughts and with a heavy heart that felt as if it was weighing her down. She sniffled and shut her eyes tight when a certain memory flashed in her mind, brutally vivid. As if to get away from it she ran, ran without any sense of direction till she was unintentionally walking towards someone whom had his back to her, a familiar figure, a possible Allie. “Um” she cleared her throat, hating how her voice was breaking “Mister Rogers? C-can I have a moment of your time?”

         a sea of unknown faces and so many familiar ones. as he tried to keep an eye out for everything around him, steve couldn't help but be try his best to help those who needed his help. captain america already had and always would felt like those people, lost and out of his time. soon he needed to assume all his empathy when approached by someone in tears. ❝ yes yes , of course ! i assume you know my version from another dimension. ❞ he said without hesitation, gently touching the blonde's shoulder as he watched her face, a worried look on his face. ❝ what happened ? are you hurt ?  ❞ he tried his best to remember who she was, but seemed unable to recognize the girl , assuming she belonged to one of the multiverses that were opened. ❝ it’s alright now, what i can do for you, miss... ? ❞ and at that moment, he would anything for that young lady. ❝ anything you need. i am here now. ❞
