So I live in this old ass house on land that's been in my family's since as far as the records go Im talking generations of my family have lived and died in the house I'm in now.

Small shit normally happens, I hear something odd, something goes missing but recently it was a clock.

This clock stopped working a few years ago apparently around the time my great grandaddy died. A few weeks ago it started ticking again and still is.

To-fucking-day however, I was in the spare room watching shit on the computer. Let me say this spare room has 2 doors. One to the outside and one to the second bedroom. The door that leads to the bedroom only locks from outside the spare room where I can't reach.

After a while in that room I heard a clicking sound and thought it was a dog that leaned against the door. 30+ minutes later when I tried to go into the spare room to get to the rest of the house I was locked. Out. That clicking noise? Was the deadbolt. This door isn't easy to lock either that bolt takes effort I lock it every night and unlock it when I get up to go in there and work.

I had to go longways around the house through the front door to the second bedroom to unlock my spare room and relet myself in it. Something locked me out of the house from the spare room and it wasn't my mother who was the only person inside.

A few minutes later I was in the kitchen sitting down and my mom asked if I was the one walking around bc she was hearing footsteps and I?????

Vindictive bastard that's probably one of my own kinfolk locked me out of the house like who even DOES that???

You need to grab your cast iron skillet, a bone, and some salt.

Put some salt in the skillet- about 1/4th cup, enough so you can grab pinches of it. 

Move through the house, to each doorway and window that leads in and out of the house. At each one, bang your fuckin skillet with the bone, and drop a pinch of salt in the doorway or on the windowsill, and say loudly:

“I ain’t got the patience for your passive aggressive shenanigans. Play nice or get the hell out.” Or something of the like, you can say what you want, but it’s best to be straightforward, and use a “no nonsense, I will kick your ass” tone of voice.

Then bury a rusty railroad spike in front of the door they locked. (Or something iron and rusty- nails, screws, etc. It’s the Iron and Rust that does it- you can get railroad spikes on etsy!)

I did this when living in a haunted place and got tired of my shit being moved around. Didn’t make the shit LEAVE, but it set some boundaries. Eventually shit calmed down and I removed the spike, and told it that it could stay if it behaved, but I would rebury the spike if it started its bullshit again.

Possibly the worst offender: this image is so often mislabeled as “Romani” that I’ve actually seen it on a Romani-related Wikipedia page. Let’s make something clear about this particular photograph; it is of a White dance troupe who call themselves “Shuvani Romani Kumpania” and perform their idea of “Gypsy” dance at Medieval themed festivals. None of the women in this group are actually Roma, yet their [mis]appropriation of our language has led many to believe they are. “Shuvani” is a word that was lifted from Raymond Buckland’s book, The Gypsy Witch. Raymond Buckland is well known among Roma as having been a fraud; he was not actually Roma [he had distant ancestry] nor was he raised with Romani cultural traditions or language. The word he meant to use was “chovexani” [pronounced: chhoveykhahnyee], which means “witch”. “Kumpania” [pronounced: koompahneeyah] is the word for a group of related Romani families who live, travel or work together. It can be loosely translated to mean “extended family” because that is, in a nutshell, what it means. So, this group of White women not only dress up like “Gypsies” for fun, but misuse our language in an attempt to seem more “authentic”.

I was reading about the Wild Hunt and how apparently, Odin Allfather was a typical father in that he refused to ask for directions during his annual Yule ride through the night sky, and instead of turning his fun, flying sleigh around or taking a slightly different route, he’d just plow on through the same route he always took, regardless of who or what was in his way. 

And if your house or land WAS in his way, he STILL wouldn’t reroute. He’d just burn the house down instead.

Which is THE funniest thing I have read in years. And it just got funnier when I pictured the whole thing turning into a buddy road trip with Loki and Odin and Sleipnir, and voila, a wild comic appeared.
