"Leave that to the tourists" she joked. "Or to you?"
"Oh, to the tourists." Paddy said. "I am not the kind to be playing loud music. Not at home anyway." He laughed.

"Leave that to the tourists" she joked. "Or to you?"
"Oh, to the tourists." Paddy said. "I am not the kind to be playing loud music. Not at home anyway." He laughed.
"What about your neighbours?" She asked, sipping her tea, "Decent?"
Paddy took a sip of his drink and nodded. "They are. Not the kind who would have music blasting at all hours." He laughed.
"Thanks." Aimee replied. She took the two mugs over a few minutes later, handing one to Paddy. "Quiet out." She mused.
"Thank you." He said, as she handed one of them to him. "It is. Although, to be fair, it is around here."
"How do you take yours?" She asked, exploring the kitchen for mugs and teabags
"Mugs are in the cupboard to your left. Tea bags in the one next to that." He told her when he noticed her looking. "Milk and two sugars, please."
Aimee was nearly dosing over by the time they pulled in. She stretched and got out of the car. Once in Paddy's, and after being shown the spare room, she got a shower and made her way to the kitchen after, "mind if I make a cuppa and do you want one?"
Paddy had made sure he sorted out what she would need before heading back downstairs. He was just looking out of the doors that lead outside when he heard her. "I don't mind and yes, please."
"As long as you don't support Liverpool we're on good terms" she joked, then nodded "yeah, looking forward to getting a decent sleep"
"Don't worry." Paddy told her. "I don't support them." He laughed. "I am sure you will." He added as he carried on driving. It wasn't long until he pulled into the driveway of his house.
"Oh nice, what sports are you into? Um. I like reading, and history" she told him, stifling a yawn, "And weirdly enough, medical textbooks."
"Oh, I like to watch football and rugby." He said. "I like to read to. Nothing in particular, whatever grabs my attention." Paddy told her. "Tired?"
"Get that karaoke rigged up and you'll soon be singing" she chuckled. "Have you any hobbies?"
"Maybe." He laughed. Now she had mentioned it, maybe having some karaoke would be a good idea. "Oh, I like going out for a walks. Watching some sport now and again. What about you?"
"Just whatever you want to tell me, I suppose?" She shrugged
Paddy looked out at the road as he drove. "Well, you mentioned singing...I like to do that. I just haven't really done it anywhere in front of people." He told her.
"You'd get a good few warblers in, but then you get the occasional one who is actually pretty good." She smiled. "So, tell me a bit about you, Because we sound like the start of a joke 'Paddy Englishman in a bar, in walks an Irish woman.." she teased
"I know I have seen a few bars where they do it and they do get quite the crowd in." He told her. As he heard her, he laughed. "I could introduce myself as Patrick but before long, it would end up being Paddy again anyway. You wouldn't be the first Irish person to come in. But the first to say that." He said. "What do you want to know?"
"It was just a way to make money. " She smiled softly, "covers and helping the vocally challenged at karaoke." She chuckled. "Ah, that's good then, no one to explain myself to."
"Still its nice to have a job that is enjoyable in some way." He said. "Maybe I should get some karaoke or something going at the bar." He said. "If I did, you wouldn't have to do the explaining anyway." Paddy pointed out.
"Well, I was working with One of the museums as a researcher, and unfortunately they laid a few of us off. So, I ended up doing a lot of bar work but as entertainment, singing and the like, I'd done it before getting through uni. And the job here came up, five nights a week, great pay and a fuck ton warmer than Belfast...then it went tits up." She explained. "Have you a Mrs or fella at home you should ring first so they don't think you're bringing some random home?"
"That job seemed a bit more interesting than my previous one was." He told her. Paddy listened as she told him what she did after that. "Oh, singing. Can't say I have done any of that at the bar." He said. Paddy then shook his head. "No. Its just me there."
"Then you were brought up well." Aimee told him, "And yeah, hopefully they would have"
Paddy smiled as she said this. "I like to think I was." He said. "So...what made you decide to head out here? I mean you said about a job but what made you go for that one?"
"Chivalry isn't dead, I see." She smiled, fastening her seatbelt. "Thank you, I would be in the shits if it wasn't for you right now."
"It was the way I brought up." Paddy told her. He looked over at her. "I mean, if I had been in your shoes, I would hope someone would have helped me in the same way." He said as he started the car and then started driving.
"Aye." She yawned, "Is your place far?" She asked, covering her mouth to suppress another yawn. She was looking forward to getting a shower, a warm drink and a good sleep!
"It isn't walking distance but I have my car nearby." He said. Once he had locked up, he walked with her to where his car was. Once there, he put her suitcase in there as well as his stuff. He opened the door for her and then went around to the drivers side, getting in too.
"Brilliant, thank you" she grinned
Paddy smiled. They were soon finished tidying up. "Ready to go?" He asked. He had already brought her suitcase out from the office and he had his stuff ready to take home.
"lots of time for a lie in then." Aimee smirked. "What sort of shifts do you need covered or areas you need most help in?" She stretched, "As for the room. It's your house, so...what areas are you comfortable with me using?"
"Thats the perks of owning a bar around here. People pretty much come in in the evenings and at night until closing time." He told her. "You can use wherever you like. I am not going to say places are out of bounds."
