Act first, think later. Twas usually the motto followed, a mantra that oft saved her from entering situation that would have otherwise resulted into a murky conclusion. That mantra expressed itself quite vividly when she simply went with the flow- or rather, ran with the bookman, out of harm’s way. She hardly managed to scrap herself a proper introduction of most at the branch, aside from the Chief and the Generals… and the bookman apprentice. Smart, she figured by the name, even if she had little idea to what bookmen actually did. But one look at that eye told you there was something hiding behind that face. A cunning young man, one who’s seen almost everything that there is to be seen. He lives in a world Marianne can hardly picture, let alone enter. The woman had troubles with reading and arithmetic, let alone memorizing and writing history as it was unfolded before their very eyes.
That isn’t to say he’s a bad person. No, there is still plenty of youth and mischief left in him. And given how fast he ran, she figured he had to be somewhat strong, physically anyhow. His uniform easily gave away his position as an Exorcist. And Exorcists could hardly afford to be out of shape.
Tour? Yes, that’s right. She vaguely remembered being told she’d be on a tour with that flaming haired bookman. That’s how she knew who he was, sort of. Thank God it wasn’t a boring, feet-dragging trek swerving around the halls. The simplicity of a run helped jog her awake. The journey here was too long, too uncomfortable.
“I think I got the gist of things around here already. Rule number one, if you piss this Yuu guy off, make a run for it, right ?”she doesn’t bother sit. For the meantime, she simply stands and fidgets occasionally. Everything about this place screamed action, fighting. And most importantly, strong opponents.
Easy name to remember, the figured, “Pleasure to meetcha. Marianne’s the name, but Blondie’s better,” there’s a smile, the conversation kept lighthearted, friendly pleasantries.
