taekwoon was unable to hide the smirk as he watched the blonde exclaim her surprise, flailing about and almost dropping the book she was holding. it certainly brought the vampire’s more playful side to the surface, the one which would soon be contemplating just how far he could take things with the beautiful blue-eyed babe. said babe was currently looking wide-eyed at him, obviously trying to figure out how to deal with his polite persistence. taekwoon himself merely glanced down at the female, smirk now a sweet smile and almost revealing the perfect row of teeth behind full lips.
silence fell between them the moment she tilted her head slightly, studying his features. taekwoon remained patient, as he often was, and simply blinked at her - doing some ogling of his own. she had slightly curly hair, he noted. the kind unlike any he’d seen on other females. taekwoon tended to like woman with straight hair but there was something exotic and appealing about this female’s curly hair, he had to admit. she was about half a head shorter than he was, which only served to stroke taekwoon’s ego at knowing he was taller than a foreigner - nevermind that foreigner being a woman.
the blonde’s lips were full, perhaps not as full as his but taekwoon held no preference for the shape of lips. her mouth was wider, which, taekwoon thought in slight amusement, was probably more important to notice. her jawline was pretty too, and her elegantly shaped eyebrows arched into the most delightful expressions. long eyelashes framed her sky blue eyes and taekwoon truly felt compelled to glance into those light orbs whenever he looked at her. they drew him in like a kid to candy; a kitten to milk. when she pursed her lips, her attention still on him, taekwoon’s own gaze fell to them - feeling momentarily distracted. then she shook her head, snapping taekwoon out of his reverie.
blinking away the daze, he watched as the female whose name he still didn’t know turned her attention back to the patiently waiting receptionist. taekwoon silently recommended the employee for her professionalism. as the words left those pretty lips, taekwoon felt like snorting but instead smirked, unable to keep that sweet smile for he was far too entertained. resting a hand atop the receptionist’s desk, taekwoon cocked his head to the side, dark eyes once more taking in the female’s lovely face. “adventure and fun hmm? i can provide, milady” he responded, a teasing twinkle in his eyes. “model son-in-law for the bothersome family, adventurous lover to satisfy the lady’s needs”
at the mention of test driving, taekwoon let out a breathy laugh and lowered his head slightly. his shy nature came to the surface, his expression bashful for a moment before playfulness took over again. acknowledging the sidelong look she sent him, taekwoon briefly sucked in his lower lip - contemplating his next words - before speaking. “i suppose you’ll have to find out whether or not i am worth a life time of your mother’s cooking. i must say i’m a highly adaptable person. speak your wishes and they’re my command to perform to absolute perfection”
taekwoon’s gaze shifted, seeing the book being stowed away in the blonde’s bag. he could grab it and make a run for it but for one, he wasn’t a thief and two, this whole interaction had become way more interesting than obtaining that stupid book. the female spoke again as she turned away from the reception desk and taekwoon found himself amused once more, which in itself was quite a feat. twice he had almost been made to laugh, once he did and that all in the timespan of approximately half an hour. this woman had no idea how exceptional she truly was. not just witty and beautiful; she managed to draw the royal vampire’s true personality to to the surface which was almost unheard of.
“women never had much reason to turn me down” taekwoon said casually, only half joking. taekwoon wasn’t arrogant at all. his heritage allowed him to practically choose but taekwoon did not exactly enjoy that. he preferred the chase, to actually have to work for his earnings, whether they be monetary or otherwise. perhaps that was another reason why he felt intrigued by this strong, independent woman who didn’t fall into step with him easily. she didn’t give up, which taekwoon liked. and maybe, just maybe, taekwoon had a masochistic side he had yet to discover and explore. the woman grinned at him, trapping him and his intentions with her words. she was truly quick-witted and taekwoon couldn’t help it; he grinned back, almost laughing and eyes crinkling in amusement.
“maybe i really am trying to lure you into a date. would you be so against the proposition?” his expression smoothed back into a mischievous smirk, half hidden as he bit on his bottom lip. he was truly curious to her response. the thought of taking her out was surprising even to himself but he found he had absolutely no objections whatsoever. in fact, taekwoon almost hoped she would allow him to accompany her to wherever it was she was headed. as she presented him with raised eye brows and an obvious questioning gaze, taekwoon slowly stepped a little closer and held up his hand in a seemingly innocent gesture. “if you agree to let me accompany you, i will tell you my name” he will get to know hers too.
Sam could tell that when she had studied him, he had studied her, apparently taking in her features as she had done to him. It wasn’t the first time someone had looked at her like that, taking in her features, she was a rare site, well she was rare in the fact that she was Korean, spoke Korean, and looked like she was a foreigner. But she was always quick to point out that she was in fact Korean, legally, adopted by a Korean family, treated as any other Korean would be, except she had to use deodorant and no one else in her family did. She didn’t mind that she looked different, not anymore atleast. Her parents always called her their golden ocean, Because in a sea of people she stood out, blonde hair and big blue eyes.
Those features worked wonders as she got older, charming people, or fascinating them, or in some cases, more often than she liked to admit, it gave guys a chance to explore a fetish, being with a girl like her, atleast for a night or so. They all had the same look in their eyes, or worse than one she was getting now, but atleast he had smiled, been polite, and apparently found her amusing. So she herself couldn’t help but smile as well. She had listened, and moved away from the reception desk before even talking anymore. So here she stood staring up at him, a chuckle on her lips as he stepped closer. “First don’t call me Milady, You aren’t courting me, so no need for formalities. Second, a model son-in-law, atleast the one my parents have in mind is..” She paused to look him up and down before tilting her head. “Isn’t adventurous or fun, they want stable, sensible, quiet. Not someone like you, they never like my taste in guys.” She nodded before turning slightly and walking outside, knowing he would follow her.
Sam moved down the steps of the library before moving to a bench and taking a seat, her gaze moving back up to the stranger as she crossed her legs before leaning her elbow in them. “You wouldn’t want to eat my mom’s food for a lifetime, I don’t even want to eat her cooking and I love her. It isn’t about adapting, it is about survival, it could literally kill you, like it killed the cat.” She nodded before chuckling. “Why now is it now I can get what I want but before when I said please, you didn’t give me the book? Instead I had to take it from you twice. Hmm?” She flashed a grin before sitting back up and taking a deep breathe, enjoying the nice breeze that ruffled her hair slightly. “You seemed rather set on not giving me what I wanted then, why the change of heart?” She asked a sly smile forming on her lips.
She turned her attention back to road before standing up, this time looking down the street, her eyes scanning the road briefly before turning her attention back to him, this time shifting around as she let her eyes wander over inch she could see before looking him in the eyes. “Perhaps, I might not mind, You are nice to look at, curious as to what you look like without anything on.” She nodded for a moment before stepping to the curb and flagging down a taxi. She stood at the door, looking over her shoulder, before opening the door. “You can accompany me, if you pay for the taxi.” She said before moving to slide into the backseat, leaving the door open, as if telling him either shut the door or get in.
