laying flat on the floor trying not to sweat to death: damn i havent thought enough about the worldbuilding for this au. how did the past primes build their empire? through violent conquest? or did they just outlive the people who didn’t like them and gradually wormed their way into alien governments that way? (this is important for how Optimus and Starscream interact with humans)

#bc starscream and thundercracker are old soldiers so they would know abt any conquest that was done #and starscream would absolutely use that to undermine optimus’ relationship with the humans #even though optimus is very peaceful and doesnt want to force anything on the humans #but the humans dont know that. theyd be on edge if they knew/thought primes have a reputation for violent conquest #no matter how optimus presents #does this make sense? im too hot to tell #rin.talks

so i said in a post a few years ago that Impactor gets Shadowplayed into turning her back on Megatron and joining the Autobots, and i’ve kinda been struggling with that idea ever since, because Shadowplay isn’t easy to fix and i’m still not sure how to resolve Megatron and Impactor’s broken friendship…

and now that i’ve added Kiloton to their little friend group i feel like the Shadowplay might actually be distracting/redundant? i could have Megs and Imp fall apart because of something that goes down with Kiloton… although i’m not sure what and considering Impactor starts as the more aggressive one between her and Megatron, i’m not sure why she would join the Autobots. Unless she goes rogue for awhile and only joins the Autobots much later? Or maybe never? Why the fuck would she join the Autobots??? hmmmmm,,
