his easy acceptance to what the two of them may or may not be came as easy as breathing, because what was the point in dwelling too long on something that just worked? for some people, labels were important ━━━ THE most important thing, but dae-ho had never really dwelled on that sort of stuff. sure, he agreed that labels were nice ; but he felt safe and secure with whatever it was that he and jeong-su were. if there was never an official definition of what the two of them were together, then he was okay with that.

all that really mattered was that he was important to them, and they were important to him.

their question though, doesn't so much take him by surprise as it does CONCERN him, because he'd thought he'd been blatantly obvious about how he felt, how he perceived the other. it's fine, he thinks to himself. everyone needs some reassurance every now and then, right?

Frisco, was near NEW YORK CITY, in terms of diversity ; at least, in their view. A colorful array of EATERIES had opened there, from Asian to Italian to regular ol' American. The nooks and crannies were, perhaps, less known food places, such as more Halal - leaning establishments ... but they existed ! ALL OF THAT, and Dae wanted the chain restaurant owned by a CEREAL COMPANY ...

They do know, though, that the poor thing will pass out before much gets done, in the way of cleaning. They've got to figure on HOW to maneuver the smaller off of him, when the time comes to pick up. But they know Dae ; They know him well, by now. The moment they attempt to shift, to move and clean, he'll whine and whimper and CLING.

he hates how much time he spends crying these days, how often he finds himself drifting off into space and forced to relive the worst moments of his life ; the moment where it had almost ended. and part of him wishes that he could tell jeong-su exactly what happened down to every last detail just so he wasn't the only one carrying it in his heart, but it seems unfair to do that to them, when they're already done so much.

and maybe he'd tell juan carlo, siouxsie, or marcus ━━━ friendships that were still new, but blossoming into something great. but even if he wanted to, he doesn't know the words ; not in english at least, to tell them what he'd been through. that, and he's certain that if any of them knew, they'd tell jeong-su straight away. it'd come from a good place of course, of kindness and compassion, but jeong-su would still know ... and dae-ho just isn't sure if that's a burden that he wants to put on them.

they know enough already, of what soo-jin had put him through, but if they knew the full extent, would they really look at him the same way, or would they just look at him like he was something broken? something that was beyond fixing, beyond saving ━━━ a waste of time ; PATHETIC AND USELESS, in soo-jin's own words.

he tries to stop the crying, free hand moving to wipe at tears that he'd thought would have been all dried up by now. he's sure he looks a mess, ugly and puffy eyed, red around the rims ; but he can't bring himself to care, not right now. " i-i'm so tired. i can't remember the last time i slept well and i just wanna sleep, i just wanna sleep and s-see your face instead of his ━━━ " an admission, not made lightly ; though an admission all the same. it was no secret that jeong-su had become the person that dae-ho trusted the most, that they had become a beacon of safety for him during all the time that they'd known one another. he thinks, wishfully so, that if he saw jeong-su's face instead when he closed his eyes, he'd have the best sleep in the world.

" w-what's nite owls? can we go there ━━━ i just, need to get out for a bit. maybe if i get tired e-enough i'll just ━━━ pass out for a few hours. "

Seeing him cry, in this way, was GUT - TWISTING. Their hand reaches, slow and tentative, to wipe at tears that continue to pour. His eyes are red, and remnants of tears' tracks remain glossy over plush cheeks. They'd been around humans long enough to know they were fragile : But they'd never call DAE emotionally fragile. No, he had been through the WRINGER, and deserved a goddamn cry or two.

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤSurviving Soo - Jin, was a triumph, as much as it was painful. ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤDidn't Dae deserve, after all of it, to rest ?

Thumb strokes over tacky skin of his cheek, as he sniffles and sobs, and explains that he's exhausted. That he wishes Jeong - Su would be conjured in his thoughts instead, that he wants to sleep in peace, more than anything. It's an admission that cannot possibly come with ease, and though they frown, though they HURT for him, there's something deep in their core that's flattered.

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤIf this wasn't love, they weren't quite sure what was. ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤWhatever form of LOVE this was, in any case.

a win is a win, as far as he's concerned.

fourty minutes wouldn't nearly be enough, not to someone that was so inclined towards physical touch, but it was a good start, at least ! because dae-ho has a plan, see ? a great plan, the best plan, fool proof in the way that he'll carry it out. because it starts off just like this, where he gets jeong-su on the couch ━━━ situated behind dae-ho of course.

and there's two reasons for that ! first ? well, he just really likes being the little spoon. there was something about being all curled and having another person pressed up against you that just did wonders for him. it was comfy, cozy, and warm. there were ... other reasons why he might've enjoyed being the little spoon, things that were most definitely NOT rated pg and were tooooooooootally not the reason for snuggles today, no sir !

oh, and the second reason ! he almost forgot ! the second reason, of course, was because jeong-su would be wedged between the back of the couch and dae-ho's body ; impossible to escape from unless they wanted a small, pouty human looking over his shoulder and asking if they really had to go.

no seriously ━━━ the plan was fool proof ! and confidence radiates from the rapper as he settles in, wriggling back and grabbing one of their arms and wrapping it around himself.

Because they knew forty minutes, would cross into an HOUR, which would bleed into a three - hour nap on Dae - Ho's part. They didn't mind ; it was RARE he had time for them, between shows, rehearsals, practice - the woes of an idol. They couldn't ever IMAGINE that life for themselves.

DAE mentions a clock, and though their phone is FIRM in their grip, gaze wanders instead to wall where one would hang. Seconds tick by slow, before their eyes move back to their guest. A shrug is offered, as arm comes 'round Dae - Ho ; limp, at first, but within the moment, tugging him close. They move two of them to couch and settle in, twisting to grab blanket at their back before motioning for human to settle in.
