hi hi! honestly, i read sotr and remembered how fun it'd be to come back here and explore all those themes suzanne broke our hearts with. we were thinking about doing a dash rp, but if folks would prefer a discord rp, we could definitely be persuaded.

hello hello hello !! so ana dropped a bit of an interest check yesterday, and i'm here to do it again just a little earlier in the day <3 with ballad and now sotr stirring that love for the victors and wanting to see more of their stories, both admins have been sitting here thinking about bringing this group back to life and wanted to sort of test the waters to see if there would be interest in that ! we'll be doing a little revamping, mostly to add-in/rework what we know from the new books and tidying up everything so we're a bit more organized. we'll be lurking around in case anyone's got any questions <3

hi everyone! with ballad and now sunrise on the reaping flaming the fires of the admins' hunger games obsession, we remembered about this old group and were hopping on to do a bit of an interest check of sorts! would you lovely people in the tags be interested in us slightly revamping / editing ( mostly to adjust new canon ) and relaunching this group? please let us know!

preparations are already well underway by the time the last train from one of the districts pulls into the station and the tributes are ushered straight into the tribute center, where others have been waiting for nearly a full day. the children are settled into their apartments — given a tour, told all the rules they must follow, left in the care of a wide array of avoxes and guards that had agreed to take an additional shift for the night. their training won’t begin until the morning after their parade, and tomorrow will be a full day of preparing them for their carriage ride in front of the roaring crowds of capitolites. tonight is for rest, as much as they can manage in such a new place. meanwhile victors are swept up in the busy hands of their prep teams and draped in their stylists’ newest designs, perfectly tailored to find a balance between that capitol style and the victor’s personal demands. escorts select the most eye-catching thing they own — something new and glittering, or perhaps something old enough to be ‘ vintage ‘. prep teams fuss over one another to make certain that not a hair is out of place. capitol citizens with money to spare flock to the mentors’ center decked out in their most expensive fashions. tonight marks one of the biggest nights of the season, pre-gaming at its finest — the hunger games are the event of the year, after all, and who wouldn’t want to celebrate that?

for our opening event we present to you an extravagant party — the guest list includes our victors, each district’s capitol team, and truly just about anyone from the capitol. no talk of sponsorships or questions about tributes, one last night for the mentors to ‘ relax ‘ as best they can while still being on display as any good victor should be. there’s a distinct shallowness to the tables of expensive food decorated like pieces of art, to the smiles of the people who see this simply as entertainment — like it or not, the capitol will do what it does best, reduce the world into a shiny spectacle.
