Plot of the story - What if the labyrinth doesn't end from there? Sure, the dreams they sought or felt seemed real, but they turned into a never-ending nightmare. The adventures still live on after all these years, even if they dreamed it. Six years have passed for the Questers, they are living the lives they always wanted and growing through their scars together. Eventually, the memories start flashing back like an earworm that you cannot get rid of. Perhaps some sort of demon is giving them the horrors. Death, Grief, Trauma, Fear, and Despair. Or perhaps an angel is healing their souls with the power of flowers. Hope, Life, Recovery, Spirited, and Freedom. We shall see how the story leads from there.
Note - this AU is based on two kpop groups' lore (Dreamcatcher & Ateez) + horror media, such as Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Higurashi When They Cry, etc.

college is starting up soon for me so i may not work on this AU as much as I want to.. and plus, my motivation is still low. I may show doodles, art, and lore pieces here and there so i'm so sorry if the chapter is a slow update. for now, i'm rethinking (and maybe rewrite) ocs lore because I would need to research more on topics before putting it all together. And i've been doodling a lot to flesh out ideas for ocs x canons.. i guess it gives me comfort whenever I feel out of it. Anyway, everything will be back on track whenever it can, no worries!

yes, there is! i'll try to say it without making it confusing but labyrinths starts crawling back again but this time, in dreams.. like in the mind. There is dimensions and dream worlds like one is where the dreamers (including alice, holly, alt / ari, and valerie) are and another where the questers (including oswald) are. There is only one toon who can see both worlds from above, but she will be introduced soon.
while yes, the dreams and nightmares may work like the labyrinth, but it gets dangerously worse because it may dive deeper into fears and traumas, and even dopplergangers existing as consequences that will go after their real selves to torment and / or even kill them. it can be successful or a failure, depending on how they can be able to defeat the consequences and move on with fate in their hands. Consequences are based on choices that everyone makes and if they choose the right choice that ended up with the good ending, then the bad choice will haunt them down. does that make sense...? its like telling yourself that you should've chosen that choice instead because it would've been better, even tho its the consequence of one's actions and choices if it ended up badly.

question, is chimera ( or chime) and breeda a parellel to sarah and boris?
not really.. i mean the similarities were there in a way but the way everything plays out between them is different. Like chime befriends ( or attempts to) with most of the main five except for coco, for past reasons, and especially breeda because she's targeting her, and then backstabs bree, using her for revenge and making a dopplerganger out of her so she can trap coco to torment her with the past. We already know how it played for boris and sarah but yeah its different i guess.
next chapter (WIP in hiatus for now) will get into things more with her and bree, as well as introducing someone familiar.. so this is all for now ;p

i was nervous to post oc lore honestly but this may be the start because i wanna express my creativity and explain it without making it not make sense and confusing. I did my research on certain topics so i could be able to write things more realistically. but yeah, i hope you enjoy the lores i put out!
They are a great trio indeed. However, things took a turn when the dark circus occurred. Their friendship breaks little by little, and the healing part of it may take time. because of how effective it is, emotionally and mentally. Only two suffered from the consequences of getting their hands on the ink machine parts and were possessed to cause trouble, but only one is afraid of being next, and also holds in guilt of surviving because she would've sacrificed herself for them, but the other questers end up taking the hit instead because of how life-threatening it is to risk your life for one another. Her tears represent how much care and how much burden she caved inside, slowly the fake happiness cracks into a reality mess she is actually feeling. She just wants a happy life, just like the others. The true smile she had never gotten in a long while...
how can you describe the relationships in this AU?

its a lot so be prepared for the paragraphs..
blairlana and bendy (drippingfeathers) - they are a slow burn one. firstly, they met at a school before bendy dropped out for the obvious reasons and left her a note saying that he will get a hold of her again one day. And what do you know, he did somehow. They wrote each other letters monthly until he stopped because of ink illness. She got worried, she also had the illness (and kept that a secret except breeda, coco and her parents are already aware), and want to go search for him, bringing breeda along with her. It was a long search before they met up again after the trial situation went down because of the adventure is about to start. Throughout the adventure though, they had small interactions. Why? the adventures and situations pretty much put things in their plates. Although, she was yearning for him for a small period of time before they interacted more during instrument arc because of how the labyrinth affected them. She became more of a therapist friend of the group, while bendy is pretty distant so she took that leap to take small steps to communicate with him, even if he ever lashes out, she is level headed and still stick to making sure he's doing fine mentally. I'll stop right there for now, don't wanna spill too much until whenever i release backstory stuff.
breeda and boris (cottagewolves) - they're pretty much friends to lovers. They warm up to each other pretty quickly when they first met and over time, they bonded over magic and interests like mickey circus, for example. To fast forward to brush - winter arc, they bonded with holly since they grew closer after being kidnapped by the butcher gang and getting the brush part. That is until, the relationship crumbled because of boris's betrayal. It affected breeda terribly, but she was eager to know why he did it. She really want to talk to him privately about it but little does she know, he would keep running away. Instrument arc is where their relationship crumbled more because of betrayal again, but mix with labryinth tormenting her and boris being possessed by the record. Would their relationship be resolved after this? we shall see (after i read the arc, im aware of the spoilers that i accidentally stumble upon)
coco and cuphead (peppermintcocoa) - childhood friends to lovers. ohhhh boy, do i have a bunch to say about them? but i wanna keep it a minimum because its a lot. all i could say is that their relationship is complex, same level as cuphead's complicated feelings. Coco understood his feelings over time, throughout childhood. And also, they have to keep their relationship private (although it was already known to the questers) so that it wouldn't cause outrage because she is devil's daughter while cuphead's a debtor. It may be complicated for them, time to time, but they still managed to work it together by patient communication and so much care. Coco is aware of what happened to Cup, experiments, for example, and that would set her off to find and kill but knowing it was black hat, she warns him instead. I would explain more about her relationship with the cupbros another time, i don't mind yapping about them at this point.
angel and mugman (bluebunny) - they're a slow burn too. all i wrote for them is that angel found mugman drunk in a bar because the stress of soul contracts and his friends were getting to him so she decided to help him by taking him back to oddswell's house to rest up. (im aware of one spoiler because of the wiki so im not going to tell) mugman wanted to remember who helped him so he went to the bar again to find out until he found her next to the stage, asking if she was the one who helped him and she told him that she did because "you were pretty worn out, so i had to help". and that's when he offered her something to thank her but she politely refused because of issues she had to deal with at home (her mom..). Mugman grew curious from there because he wanted to help people so that's why he may approach with caution. But yeah, that's all I thought and wrote down.
chloe and felix (fur-enemies) - they're enemies to lovers. it started off as capturing the criminal and taking them to jail. Chloe manipulated felix into giving the key and that dropped his guard down for a few seconds so yeah, they are a runaway thief. Every time they meet each other in random places, they would end up fighting each other, to the point where there is bruises and sprains. Felix spared their life a lot because something about them made him feel interested so in every meet up, they fight and he offered to aid them, they were hesistant firstly until they just let him because his kindness made them feel weird but warms up to it over time. They pretty much bonded over that because they had fun fighting one another and the comfort brings them close. Chloe eventually tells felix about wanting top surgery and so, which made felix curious but also shocked so he wishes them luck on that. I have more things about chloe but i will explain that if anyone asks about the top surgery. I'll stop here too because i don't wanna spill too much teehee :3
alice and holly (angelrunes) - best friends to lovers because yes! Their bonding means a lot to me in IM, like how much they care for another, how platonic it started out, etc. For this AU, Alice actually catches feelings for holly but she was also worried about the public knowing about it because society doesn't really welcome lgbtq people. Holly was oblivious, thinking her flirting and teasing is playful until she realizes it was actually serious and her curiosity about dating girls made her spiral. She was overthinking it for a while, even she had to ask anyone for love advice because she is curious but also confused (questioning even). Alice and Holly accidentally confessed to each other one day, while they were working at a market, and they laughed it off, telling each other "i love you"s and talked about how the public would react to it, that worries them so they kept it a secret, only close ones would know about it. Does anyone want an angelrunes fic because this would be fun to write? anyway that's how they'll be in this AU!
what a bundle of writing i have to type out but hey, its still fun to read and grow curious about more, right?
i decided to change up the tags for the story. I've been thinking about it for a while since I truly want to organize things so you could get what the story is about and all that. I removed a lot of things so it can list main characters and themes so it wouldn't be too crowded overall. Pretty simple as that but that's all for now :p
if anyone's wondering about the next chapter of the story, dont worry im working on it. procrastination is the big problem i had lately hmm.. like im juggling through college work, reading inky mystery (trust me im on instrument arc and im actively freaking out/hj), doodling, and writing
what a mess really. i'm also more active on twitter so i pretty much yap more about my ocs and interests from there. if anyone wanna read the yap sessions then let me know (ask box is totally open for those topics or AU related!) because im a nonstop yapper when it comes to my oc x canons, ocs in general and this AU.
