His legs were far apart just enough to have his ankles tied to the legs of the chairs, and suddenly Tony knew exactly where this was going. It brought back memories of the lab â which were good memories in the end, but had an awful, most painful beginning. His arms were behind him that time, however, and what was used to bind him was casted rope from his wrists to his elbows. This time he wasnât so lucky, seeing that Karnilla was free to do whatever she pleased from the very beginning up until who knew how long this would last.
And in an instant he found himself not caring, his attention on something completely different. Eyes widened beneath the blindfold and in an instant the engineer was panicking in his seat. Was it a panic attack?âhe couldnât tell, but it was at this point that Tony was breathing rapidly through his nose, doing everything he could to keep himself from fidgeting, from anything. Deep breaths, thatâs what he learned from those other panic attacks, right? Deep, calming breaths â or something like that.
It was an illusion and Tony knew this. He wasnât going to panic at the sound of Bruceâs voice, because he was far better than this. Eyes were shut tightly and he cringed as his head was forced to turn to the side, biting into the ball gag at the grip Karnilla had on his hair. He no longer felt the metal, and it would only be a matter of time before his blood would spill on the floor. Part of him was still fearful, knowing it was Karnilla and not the doctor who left him those many years ago. Bruce was never going to come back and a simple voice wasnât going to get him to panic.
Seeing the reaction of his breaths.. How his nose was his only real access to air, she untangled her fingers from his head and simply pinched his nose shut, cutting off his air for the moment. When she spoke this time, it was a different voice, not Bruce, but not her own, either. An angry, angry teenage girl. One he loved and held dear, despite their constant bickering. Her gestures were angry now as she pinched his nose a little harder, pressing the knife to his cheek,
"You just don't listen to me. You don't want to.. You didn't want to end up like him, but guess what." She brought her face closer, as if to spit against his skin, to mock him, as the first slice was made, "You're father of the year." Her tone was slick with sarcasm and mockery as the tip of the blade drew a crimson line that ran to the tip of his chin. No longer channeling, her chuckles were laced with an icy purr, "Your memories are raw, Stark.. So open.. You've gotten too used my not being around, I think.."Â
Finally, she released her grasp on his nose.
"What is your child's name? ... Abigail?" Her brows raised slightly, turning away from him for a moment, the blade's clean edge resting on her lip, "I can't help but wonder if she'll end up as pathetic as you are.." Once more, the knife rested on is skin, this time at the hollow of his neck, held so that the slightest movement on his part may or may not send the weapon plunging into him, "Perhaps I should pay her a visit, hm..? Break her in.. Make introductions.."

Teeth bit down into the ball gag, half of the reason being anger while the other was from agony. The position his mouth was in made his jaw tense, feeling the muscles below his ears cramping up in such a short amount of time. He flinched at his own pain beneath the blindfold, paying less attention to the woman from fucking space to keep himself calm about one thing or other. If he avoided any thought of who was the woman practically harassing him, heâd probably be able to survive the night. Itâs just another accident at night, just a mishap at a bar.
It became more realistic in the engineerâs mind once feeling soft breasts on the back of his head. He had more self control than this though, and he was going to show any more weakness than he already did. Though, feeling her finger on his chest made him grunt through the gag softly. It was enough of a sound for Karnilla to hear and he knew it â god damn it, he was really bad at this. But there was no reason for him to panic about his situation.
âŚThen again, feeling the cuffs thicken on his wrists didnât make him feel any better. Eh, it looks like those cuffs arenât coming off.
He exhaled deeply through his nose at the hero monologue, practically rolling his eyes beneath the blindfold while listening to it. He stopped looking at himself as a hero, honestly, and he didnât expect to be a savior to anyone at this rate. It wasnât that he had any hope in himself â he was just tired of it all and needed a break. Her little speech was halted in his mind, however, cringing at the cut on his chest, right above his heart. âNngh!â The warm liquid was now on his lip, and he knew it was blood. It was his own blood, and that was what discouraged him the most.
Escape plan number two needed to finalize in his head or he was a goner by tomorrow morning.
Karnilla stepped back for a moment as some loose threads of violet magic trailed down his calves and anchored his ankles to the legs of the chair. No, she didn't want him going anywhere, not just yet, perhaps later, if she bored of his.. position. She turned her palm upwards, a dagger with a gleaming blade falling into her waiting skin. The hilt was familiar to her, and the grasp of it made a smirk form on her lips. Stepping to circle him again, she let the flat of the blade run along one of his shoulders, until the tip snagged his skin slightly.
Now, it was time to have a little fun. "Tony.." her voice wasn't hers. An illusion of the ear -- no this one was familiar. Dear to him, close to his heart, that husky tone of a lover abandoned; the doctor, and the monster, "What've you done to yourself..? Look at you.. Our daughter.." The knife dragged it's way towards his neck, getting tauntingly close to him, as if begging her to allow it to sever skin, to pour his blood all over his chest, "She's so much like you.. So smart.. So angry.."
She pulled the blade from him. Not knowing where a weapon was could be half the terror. Her fingertips brushed the back of his neck, ghosted over his knee, coming to a stop in front of him, "Maybe I should have taken her, too." The Norn queen pressed the blade's tip near his hip bone, placing one of her legs between his. Her free fingers ran through his hair before grasping tightly, not caring if she yanked or pulled, forcing his head to the side. Raven locks shifted, plump lips twisted into a near grin. Oh, she'd missed this. She'd missed this indeed.
My Master Katie McGrath Gif Post // count; 113
This is mainly for me, because all of the gifs I use for Karnilla are scattered among gifsets and I'm tired of having a thousand and one tabs open. Right under the cut will be the links to all of the gifsets / hunts / posts that I'm using.
Also none of these are mine :V

Feeling her finger on his neck made him stiffen in fear, head raising until he was technically looking up at the ceiling. His mind was far more calculative this time, however. There was no reason to panic when sheâd probably do the same things.
Though secretly, he was a bit disappointed that there wasnât at least a greeting before he got bound by his âmistress.â
He had to break out of the cuffs, and knowing the Norn didnât do anything to them yet, he was contemplating on how to hack out of them. There was possibly something in his pocket, but any movement in front of him could easily be noted by Karnilla herself. Ah, that was the disadvantage of having his hands cuffed in front of him.
Mentally, he cursed, and as he continued to think about it he felt the chair behind him, the sitting area nudging at the back of his knees. It was only a matter of time before it started over again. Before he was ripped apart and torn to bits as always. Mentally scarred, always afraid.
God damn it.
Elegant fingers, icy soft skin danced down to his collarbone, pushing him down into the seat below him. Those same, cold tips trailed further down his chest, to the small hollow where the arc reactor used to pulse and glow with artificial life. She tilted her head slightly, eyes trailing farther down to the simple cuffs that bound him. They wouldn't do. And, his legs were still free. She couldn't have that, either. Violet hues, sparking with an anger and a violence that went beyond the man before her, "Well.. You've gone through some changes, haven't you..."
With languid steps, she moved to circle him, stopping to grasp his shoulders, nails scraping his skin slightly before trailing down his arms, the warmth of the arcane weaving in the air between their skin as her fingers traveled to his wrists, chest pressing against the back of his head tauntingly, "What with you being... Oh so lonely, now, and.. well.." coming full circle, a single finger pressed against the center of his chest, "Vulnerable."
A cruel smirk tugged at her lips, then, as the bindings seemed to thicken, make themselves more secure, "One has to wonder if you can really count as a hero at all, any more. You've none of your fancy tin cans... And now.." Pressing harder, she tore through his shirt with just the nail, and pressed deeper into his skin, beginning to draw blood, "... you've exposed your heart. Oh.. how the mighty have fallen, hm,..?" Her eyes flicked back to him, taking the small scraping of blood and smearing it on his lower lip.
bUT THIS WASNT EVENF UNNY IM YELLIGN
It is borderline shameful how loud I just laughed.
âI can assure you, Karnilla, I would not be the one getting hurt in little playfights with the boys nor would I be the one getting filthy⌠Is one not allowed to visit her beloved friend?â
"I did not take you as one with a taste for humor, Lady Sif, nor as one to pay idle visits unannounced. If you are here, it is for a reason.." Violet hues flickered over the Asgardian, lips taught, serious. "If there is something you desire the odds are stacked highly against you. I try not to meddle with Odin's people, little warrior."
My father yet lives, though you overestimate him if you think his departure would be anything to me beyond a blessing. But caution, lady: speak anymore as you do of the Odinsleep and Iâll begin to think you have a nefarious plot in motion.
And I might remind you that all else aside, none may torment Odin while I still breathe.
"You speak as if the threat of your might would give me pause.." Her voice trailed off into a chuckle of twisted mirth, taking a few careful steps as if to begin to circle the Thunder God, "Words are meaningless to me, Odinson. You can swear by the hammer you carry, but until it swings you are but another headstrong Asgardian making a blind pledge."
âHonor is of no importance in this matter,â Balder barked clearly offended. He furrowed his brow in anger and raised his voice as he spoke.  âYou speak as if I am unfamiliar with the fragility of mortals Karnilla, but in truth I know I am far more versed in bloodletting than the likes of you. I have carved a river in hel with the blood of tens of thousands of men, during my years as a sword for Asgard, and when Loki orchestrated my death. I waded through that river and slew every last one, again.â He paused momentarily to calm and collect himself.
When he continued his voice was far less angry and far more weary. âYet all this I can forgive, death and war are natural occurrences in life and I am not one to judge past misdeeds. What disturbs me about both you and Thor is more than you harming the innocent, or Thorâs infatuation with mortals rather than the affairs of his own kingdom, but the perverse pleasure that you both get from their suffering and salvation. These people deserve some dignity. maybe not alot but at least a little.âÂ
"But there's where you're wrong, Baldr the Brave. No pleasure comes to me for their suff'ring. There is no perversity to my actions, to sickness to my aims. They are but an occupation of my time, insects beneath my heel.. Tools with which to bide my time." Her tone drawled out her final few words, watching his movement, wanting to press every button, test every limit. She wanted him at the end of his blade. "Man does not smile with glee at the thought of an ant being obliterated beneath his boot."
As for their salvation.. Karnilla could only smile that near demented smile of hers. A half-cocked, macabre grin that was borderline manic and yet most ways seductive. It was the Norn Queen's way, after all, to toe the line between beauty and insanity, "As for their salvation, well... I do not believe I could care any less for their faith and redemption. Your preaching will continue to fall of mine deaf ears."
"How disappointing.."
âSmothering me? Did you want me to suffocate? Cute, really. I thought youâd have fun with one of your favorite little toysâ⌠did you just call me a brief source of entertainment?â
âChallenge accepted. Come at me, honey.â
"I'm afraid without your iron ticker there's not much fun to be had with you.." That should burn quite well. After all he'd lost, being pushed aside like this? It at the very least would sprinkle salt into the wound, "You're just a miserable man, now, with nothing to show for your maddening obsession with construction."
"How lovely. The warrior who makes play she's still a lady of Asgard. What brings you to me, Sif? Have the boys played too roughly with you? Smeared too much dirt on your delicate skin?"
and no rivers and no lakes can put the fire out
Someone there?
The magic in the air was a presence in and of itself. It carried a weight, a density. It was a haul on the wind, a faint, maddening whisper, until, of course, she allowed her form to appear. She did so enjoy revealing herself to others this way. Call her dramatic all one wished to, she enjoyed the attention,no matter how brief. But now, she had a rather larger object to focus on. Like a hawk fixing onto it's prey, violet hues focused on the doctor, "Hm.. So I see the mortal monster's come out to play, all alone... Not the wisest of decisions."
"Sarcasm suits you ill Norn queen. It makes you seem far more clever than you actually are. " Balder deadpanned. A sneer crossed his face as he continued. "Yet pray tell me Karnilla, How pathetic is it that you, like so many other Asgardians, crave the respect and attention of mere mortals in order to validate yourself?"
"Tch. You wound me, noble prince." Her scowl twitched downward at the mention of him and his foul kind, her fingers curling tightly into her palm for a moment. This was a careful game they were beginning to play, "Their respect? Your judgement comes too quickly -- so much like your fumbling brother, you are. The mortals are simple play things. Can you truly not say their fragility has not baited your curiosity in the slightest, not even the ones they celebrate as.. 'heroes.' " Her tone is a sort of sultry drawl, and yet serpentine with a bladed edge, "Or has your insufferable taste for honor blinded you to that, as well?"
"If it isn't the God of Thunder himself.. Oh, how humbled I am by your presence... How fares thy father? Has the old crone slipped into the endless sleep yet? Nay, there would be more joy in mine eyes, and a greater sorrow in yours. Why have you come, Odinson?"
