I know I've said before that I love Asgard, but actually I really like Asgard in Marvel Rivals. It has a viking, fantasy and magic vibe (but more fantasy and magic)🤌🏻✨
I also love the idea of Yggdrasil merging with the sky – it’s incredible
And the statue is interesting too. I heard on YouTube that it’s Karnilla, and you can see that in the gallery images, but the model looks more like Sigyn 🤔
ah my favourite Yuri that marvel mentions once a year to sedate me before I throw a bomb into their headquarters
1985's Balder the Brave Vol.1 #1 cover by Walt Simonson. Source
As the battle between the two realms go on, Nightmare is holding Wiccan, Hulkling and Karolina Dean as captives in Niffleheim realm. Poor Wiccan is tortured by Nightmare who keeps using him as a battery so that his reality-warping powers could keep the portals open for the invaders. Outside the Niffleheim realm, the heroes are facing off Hela's army. Before the Mages and Shuri could proceed in attacking, Hulk rushes impulsively and attacks Hela. The two Asgardians - Hela and Karnilla, stop Hulk in his tracks and sends him flying to Niffleheim realm. Without Hulk the strongest bruiser, the Mages (Scarlet Witch, Doctor Strange and Nico Minoru), the Wakandans (Shuri and the Dora Milaje) and the invisible Spider-Gwen are left to fight Hela's army.
Despite being outnumbered, they continue to fight the invaders. While everyone are fighting, Nico Minoru runs to the portal to look for her friends. As Amora the Enchantress goes after Nico, the invisible Spider-Gwen notices and follows them as she needs to help her friends and to reverse the invisibility curse. As the battle rages on, Scarlet Witch fights Hela in the one-to-one duel. Spider-Gwen tries to follow Nico but she gets attacked by Amora who holds her by the throat. Before Amora could choke Spider-Gwen to death, she is stopped by Karolina Dean whose light powers helped Spider-Gwen to become visible again. Spider-Gwen is grateful to Karolina and Nico that she hugs them both. Hulkling tries to reach for the trapped Wiccan but he is pushed back by his reality-warping powers since Nightmare had been using him as a battery. Meanwhile, the Mages and the Wakandans are getting overwhelmed by Hela's forces.
Determined to win the battle, Nico Minoru "levels up" her friends with her magic to fight Amora and Nightmare while Hulkling tries to save Wiccan. However, Hulkling's attempt to free Wiccan doesn't seem to work until the Hulk throws the Wakandan anti-brainwashing mask to him. Hulkling puts the anti-brainwashing mask onto Wiccan and manages to free him. Since Wiccan had woke up from Nightmare's brainwashing, the portals start to close so the young heroes (Nico, Karolina, Spider-Gwen, Hulkling and Wiccan) manage to get out of Niffleheim realm and return to the real world.
