A source from their agency MBK Entertainment explained, “T-ara was planning to return on May 17, but we have pushed it back to June 1 to put the finishing touches to the new album. They will return with a further improved album.” Boram and Soyeon’s contracts will expire on May 15, but they will join the comeback promotions as scheduled. T-ara will have their comeback performance on Mnet’s “M!Countdown” on June 1, the day of their album’s release. It is anticipated that they will promote for around two to three weeks.

T-ara will promote as 6 even after the end of Boram and Soyeon's contracts.

While the two girls will not be renewing their contracts with MBK Entertainment after it ends on May 15, the girls will still promote as T-ara one last time. T-ara is releasing their album at the end of May, and all six members will be promoting for 3 weeks. In June, they'll be performing in Japan and Southeast Asia.

They plan on having a mini concert and fanmeeting in Korea as well. After the promotions, Eunjung will be acting in dramas, Jiyeon will be releasing her solo album, Hyomin will be promoting overseas, and Qri will have her own personal promotions for the rest of 2017.

More details on T-ara's contracts have been revealed.

MBK Entertainment confirmed that not all the members renewed their contracts with their label. The label announced,

This is MBK Entertainment's official announcement on T-ara's contract renewal. As reported, T-ara's Boram and Soyeon's contracts will end on May 15. The other members Qri, Eunjung, Hyomin, and Jiyeon, have renewed their contracts until the end of December this year, and they will continue on with their dramas, personal activities, and overseas activities.

T-ara's last full album will be the album that will be released in May.

T-ara's agency MBK Entertainment has revealed information on the members' contracts and a possible disbandment.

The girl group will likely be making their last comeback as 6 with a new album in May, and MBK Entertainment had more to say on the matter. The label stated, "It's too early to use the word 'disbandment.' Their re-signing is under negotiation. However, if the members can't stay together, it would be meaningless to continue using the name [T-ara]." It appears the T-ara members have varying contracts with the agency, and some members may stay with the agency while others may move on. According to T-ara's label MBK Entertainment, the group's comeback album this coming May will be their last as 6 members.

MBK told news outlets on March 16 (KST), "T-ara plan on making a comeback on May 17. Since their contract is set to expire in May, it will be their last comeback as a full group."

T-ara, a veteran 2nd generation girl group, debuted in 2009, establishing their place in the industry with hits like "Bo Peep Bo Peep", "Roly Poly", "Lovey Dovey", and more. Their final promotions as a group under MBK will be their domestic comeback in May, followed by a series of domestic and overseas comeback activities.

Qri Talks About How She Deals With Malicious Comments And More

Qri, the leader of girl group T-ara, recently talked about malicious comments, new girl groups, and more during a photo shoot with bnt on February 13. When asked if she had any inclination to have a public relationship, Qri honestly responded, “I think even if I do date, I wouldn’t necessarily want it to be known. I feel like I would find the attention from the general public burdensome. There’s nothing in our agency’s contract that mentions dating. Half of the members are in their early thirties. Each of the members are doing well, and I’m currently single.” She also talked about how she deals with malicious comments, which is something that cannot be avoided as a girl group member. “I don’t read all the comments, but I do read one-tenth of all the comments I see. Because I can’t explain everything, I tend to pass over [whatever I read] coolly,” she explained. With T-ara being a veteran girl group of nine years, Qri talked about the newer girl groups, saying, “I do feel sad during music broadcasts because a lot of the fellow girl groups [that we’ve promoted alongside with] are gone. On the other hand, I envy the newly debuted girl groups who look so lovable and fresh. Personally, I think BLACKPINK and Cosmic Girls are doing well in terms of their stage performances and skills.” When asked if she had any conflicts with her fellow members, Qri replied, “I think we are on very good terms. Wow

I can’t believe this day just happened, that t-ara actually got a chance to show their side of the story and people are actually listening to it.  I have not seen so many positive upvotes on t-ara’s articles for years. I wouldn’t have even dreamt of this happening, and I think many queen’s pretty much gave up hoping either. We don’t wish for their previous fame to return, but just to shed some light on this whole incident and please be kinder to them. They have went through so much (having suicidal thoughts, panic attacks and possible depression). Thank you so much for being willing to listen to the other side of the scandal, for giving them a second chance. 

And of course thank you to all QUEEN’s who stuck by them and defended them, showered them with love. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Today has been a great day.
