I hate how most of the people I'm childhood friends with are now huge bigots- I also hate how I still talk to some of them because I'd feel bad if I just stopped talking to them... in fact I literally tried to slowly stop talking to one in hopes that we would "drift away" in a sense but they literally guilt tripped me into continuing to talk to them

even the guy I had a crush on that I was SURE was not a bigot and that he was a nice guy, literally said the n-slur right to me. That crush didn't last long after that.

I'm just hoping that in college I can have a fresh restart and get in a better friend group
