SO, I’m on FF with westly and I made her a new tumblr for it. I was going to use the old quanticocompanion but I’ll just keep that one for Wow.

She’d been wrapped up in herself for so long. A year ago she held every hope of receiving good word from the war and slipping back into the relationship she’d breakneck fallen into. Months of nothing but bad news sealed her fears and then the days ran together and she’d been floating outside of herself ever since. Cutting her hair short and a fresh dye wouldn't bring back the dead, but it would aid her in ridding the memory of the person she was when they were still alive. All of them. In the past she'd quietly imagine her hair growing long, but mourning seemed to be a constant part of her life, and the dream became so foolish to consider.

The new apartment helped. Reinventing herself became a passion once again and she was somewhere between wanting and having it. The good company of Lady Sunblade and the success of business gave her a fulfillment that she hadn’t thought herself capable of any longer. The new wedding clients and Crescent’s constant sink of her time sufficiently kept her life on track with deadlines and demands. In the dark of night she came home to the curling smoke of her own cigarettes and a haunting hymn he’d taken to singing. Her claw foot tub had become solace for another soul now. He was drowning in rum and she let him. This was a state far worse than the bad decisions haunting him. She ran the risk of upsetting well paying clients, and he ran the risk of growing too fond of her lenient company.  He was allowed to stay in the space previously only occupied by Shanaal, but those times spent with the Lady Sunblade had become scarce due to work and circumstance, or maybe the lady no longer... - she wouldn't dwell on it. His visits hadn't been on the itinerary. Nowhere in the entire fifty page detail of the events to come did it make room for the Groom to take shelter in the quiet shadows of her apartment. Still, it was her every intention to smooth over any complication that would prevent her team from getting their payout. She’d been wrapped up in herself for so long. There was a sweet relief to be sorting someone else’s fucked issues.
