Crackfic: When Odysseus dies, he comes back as a ghost and introduces himself as "No Body".

The ghosts appeared.

Nico, despite having done this hundreds of times before, held his breath. It was natural, to watch the formless shapes move about, but he was still human. Unease crawled up his spine as the first ghost approached the pit of McDonald's and drank.

"Are you the hero Odysseus?" he asked when the ghost's form cleared and straightened, revealing long hair pulled back and a stout, bulky build. "King of Ithaca, favorite of Athena?"

"Some called me that," the ghost said, straightening to reveal sharp, clever eyes. His mouth twitched oddly. "Nowadays, I am only known as No Body."

It took a second to process.

Odysseus laughed as Nico, despite himself, let out a groan that was somehow echoed by the rest of the ghosts.

Lightning round!

I couldn't miss an opportunity to make epic geological phenotypes for eridians:D them rocks will look fly as hell on my watch!

Nerding out under the cut:)

For those interested, the igneous phenotype is inspired by granitic pegmatites, with hexagonal beryl crystals growing from it (of the aquamarine variety)

The sedimentary fella is a BIF, or a banded iron formation - a type of chemical sedimentary rock recording the years following the Great Oxygenation Event, with alternating bands of red jasper and magnetite/iron oxides:)

And the metamorphic eridian is inspired by an amphibolite, containing garnet gem porphyroblasts:)
