elena forgetting things she wouldn’t forget, acting as if she didn’t know things – now the body language made sense.  damon growled, veins appearing through the skin under his eyes, which pooled red.  fangs sprouted, and everything in his hands crashed against the counter, but not until AFTER he’d blurred over to KATHERINE, a tight grip finding her throat.

teasingly, his hands held up as if to signal surrender.  “fine, i won’t POKE you.”  his legs continued on, carrying him further into the living room, but he stopped in his tracks when she bumped against him.  it was purposeful, and he turned into it, ready to revoke his promise of no poking, but it came to a halt.  “since when do you have to ASK to eat?  go right ahead.”  gesturing toward the kitchen, he eyed her curiously, and, damon being damon, couldn’t help but notice the way her body moved.  something was different.  elena was being different.  maybe he was just pulling things out of thin air as he usually did.  shaking his head as if to shake off the thoughts, he blurred past her and leaned against the center island.  “got a specific taste in mind?”
