the BBBBC podcast as I'll henceforth enjoy calling it is decent so far! not new information but nice to have on and listen to and definitely a good recommendation for listening to with someone you want to introduce the lore to

I did at first think it was something bill had made/produced and thought it going to be him sitting at a piano and talking through what they were doing musically and lyrically and bringing a bit of humour to proceedings but he's basically just narrating it -- but that's a problem for louise the bill bailey fan not louise the queen fan

i said another story for another day and yet here I am -- I actually became an obsessive bill bailey fan about 15 years before i ever became an obsessive queen fan so i know the deep lore and I kid you not when I heard brian and roger were going to be at the last night of the proms my first thought was 'lmao I bet bill bailey has something to say about that' because way back in the 2000s there was a programme hosted by the late Sean Lock (he and Bill were great friends and were comedy partners in the 90s) where each episode a guest would pick their most favourite tv moments ('tv heaven') and their most hated tv moments ('telly hell') and two of bill's 'telly hell' picks were 1. the last night of the proms and 2. brian playing on the roof of buckingham palace for QE2's jubilee (the end of the episode featured him in a Brian May wig and Sean Lock in drag as the queen hitting him with a handbag and bill actually ended up in a&e due to injuries sustained filming that sketch but I digress). So naturally my thoughts were 'lmfao'

BUT! we then find bill featuring as a major performer tonight at the very same event so like he's clearly mellowed a helluva lot hahahhahaha
