If you were to resort to piracy over being exhausted over the various streaming services recreating the nickling and diming of the cable television industry (and I’m not saying you should - just… if you happen to find yourself there), a full VPN is not required.

You can have your torrent activity go through a proxy (while the rest of your traffic isn’t shuttled through there) using services like BTGuard. All the torrent activity is run through the proxy:

If your ISP has bandwidth caps, you’ll still run into those. But they won’t know what you’re transferring.

I started working at a new youth home. I was really nervous because they do NVCI holds. I've worked in the field for 6 years and haven't done holds. I haven't needed holds because I have other tools. Including treating my clients like human beings and respecting their needs/emotions. You're a lot less likely to get hit if you listen when your client tells you they need alone time.

My new job is so hold happy. They do a transport hold if she's sitting peacefully in a room they don't want her in. On top of that I've been receiving a lot of hate from my coworkers for refusing to do a hold because she's engaging in frustrating (but SAFE) behavior. Its blows my mind how willing my shift partners are to lay hands on a literal child and how they don't understand the trauma it causes.

Growing up as an undiagnosed Autistic, developing rejection sensitive dysphoria, I had a real fear of being left out, because I often was. So I'd say yes to EVERYTHING. I like to think she just caught a wild bunny and now he's a pet. From his perspective he's been captured and his jailers wont stop hugging him. Eventually this cranky old prisoner gets the chance to escape but realises he hates being free and misses his family, yes even the dumb dog, and comes home.
