Laying this brick background took longer than I thought it would, making sure it all aligned properly, along with deciding on how to do the window. * Music by my son @ezekairobinson* I decided to add some colour blends to her head top; the dark purple into a magenta and then into green with a bit if charcoal shading. I wanted to enhance the beauty of the bark like head sculpt and also give the feel of flower essence. Her faceup that @joshybearhuggies is so nice and clean so I could get away with adding more colour to her head. He also crochet this romper for her. I wish I could crochet, tho is has put up some tutorials his Insta account. So far I have only make her her flower belt. I look forward to sewing her some other items. I am currently working on a backdrop for her cause I need to switch up my creative thought. *Had to repost cause video cut off* DOLLY MAIL!! 😀😀😀 She is one of my grails. I haven't gotten dolly mail in a long time. Thanks to @joshybearhuggies's sale he was having in his doll collection, I was able to get one of my grails. I had originally placed a preorder with the amazing sculptor @faewoodsdolls for my own last year in a different colour; was so excited to finally customize one for myself but I had to pull out due financial issues. ☹ She was so kind and understanding about it. (Thank you 🙏🏾) Recently the opportunity came up to purchase the one @joshybearhuggies was selling. He had only one casted. His was customized and I love his faceup work. He is actually the first doll collector/artist that I have bought from, cause I only buy blank so I can customize myself. (Capricorn thing, I wanna do everything myself.) He had her for an amaziiiiing price that I could afford and I knew I would regret not giving myself the joy of having her. Introducing my husband's mini! Meet Born Understanding Allah aka @eklipz1 aka @jablabboxing aka @poplopicasso This was fun making him and intimidating at the same time making an art creation of another incredible artist. 😄 I did some experimenting with his custom and it all worked out so good. He is also the first man full custom I've done, cause good male dolls I like that are fully articulated are hard for me to get. I've only done boy characters before. I am very happy with how he turned out and it's so awesome witnessing first hand how much I've grown as an artist and how much my skills have improved, as well as how fearless I've become in challenging myself to tackle more complex ideas.
