PRINCE JACAERYS VELARYON [114 AC – 130 AC]
It is said that Jacaerys Velaryon leapt free and clung to a piece of smoking wreckage for a few heartbeats, until some crossbowmen on the nearest Myrish ship began loosing quarrels at him. The prince was struck once, and then again. More and more Myrmen brought crossbows to bear. Finally one quarrel took him through the neck, and Jace was swallowed by the sea.
"an Heir torn between love and legacy"
is that referring to Kit or Ash?
the short gap between vermax’s death and those arrows must have been the worst minute of jace’s life. he lost his revered symbol of legitimacy and had to imagine a life as a dragonless targaryen prince. his final, self-loathing thoughts must have been the most bastardphobic thinking ever conceived of in all of westerosi history
you're dead and you're serving face?!?!

KNICKS IN FIVE BABY!!!
Hi Cassie!
I was curious about why the stakes for necromancy seem so much higher for Ty and Livvy as compared to all the other examples we’ve seen in the series so far? Aside from Jace’s resurrection, there don’t seem to be any world-altering consequences for, say, Jesse’s resurrection or even Annabel’s. Lucie also faced pretty much no consequences for resurrecting Jesse, meanwhile Ty is met with shock and anger and other varying negative emotions from anyone who learns about his necromancy, particularly Ragnor and Magnus. Is there a particular reason, like the mode of necromancy in this case?
I’m looking forward to the release of tlkof!! 🥰🥰🥰
Jace, being literally resurrected by God, is definitely not a situation where anyone would call it "necromancy." :)
Jesse wasn't really dead, and Lucie used her own power, not demonic/evil magic, so I wouldn't call that necromancy either; therefore it doesn't carry the negative repercussions necromancy does. It's a unique unrepeatable situation.
Malcolm was despised by everyone for the necromancy he performed, and also Annabel murdered him for doing it so I'd say those are bad consequences! We also don't ever see how it would have gone for him had Annabel and Malcolm remained alive for many more years but it would only have grown more destructive.
The kind of necromancy Ty did is going to have very bad results, not just for the world but for him. Ragnor and Magnus are correct to be angry/upset because Ty has put himself directly at terrible risk, it's not just a moral question — it's something that could kill people, including him. We are years along in the results of the necromancy in TLKOF so we'll see that firsthand.
I would say the only examples of the kind of necromancy Ty did, that we have seen at all, are just him and Livvy and Malcolm and Annabelle. And only in Ty and Livvy's case will we ever see what it looks like years down the line.
Hi Cassie I hope you’re doing well!
I was just wondering, in TDA Arthur often went on about some ‘important work’ he had to do- is this related to something in TWP?
Well, we do certainly find out something pretty major Arthur did without anyone knowing. But mostly he wasn't that directed; the work was, sadly, not important except in his mind.
does ash have any hobbies besides hanging out with janus? i feel like we know so little about him and i need to know moreee 😭
I don't know if he'd consider hanging out with Janus as a hobby? We see him in Last King of Faerie at a very specific time for him in the court, so he is doing very few of the things he would normally do. However we will see flashbacks to his more ordinary life in Faerie in LPOH.
Hello Cassie! I can’t wait for the book I am counting down the days! My question is will we learn how exactly Ash was kidnapped from the Seelie court in the first place? Any flashbacks to him in the unseelie court with Annabelle? I can’t wait to learn more about Ash he is already my favorite character ❤️ Thank you!
-Morgan
We don't find out how he was kidnapped from the Seelie Court/by the Unseelie King in TLKOF, but we most likely will later. We do find out more about why the Unseelie King wanted Ash particularly. You will definitely learn more about Ash and how he feels about Anabelle, Janus, Thule, etc — I think in terms of getting to know him, his beliefs and feelings are the significant part.
