Skybound Meetings (Elincia | Tana)
"I should have known better than to travel alone..! Oh, my did I not listen to Innes when he warned me? He must be back at the port laughing, realzing I’d never figure it out with a mere map!"
Her pegasus neighed in approval, but by his tone sounded all too sarcastic as well. Me must have know they would have gotten lost, but this was the first time in ages where they were able to take flight- he must have weighed out his choices, and let Tana take the fall for this one,…not literally of course.
Needless to say, the princess was lost. Consumed by her thoughts and muttering to herself along side her steed, she was unaware of the other rider who approached. With their call out to her, she yelped in surprise, nearly jumping from her saddle. Luckily, the other didn’t seem threatening, but in the mishap, she had let the map slip, and it fell hundreds of feet to the mountain side below.
"H-Hello!" she managed to chime, swallowing her disappointment as she averted her eyes from her lost item onto the other. By the looks of it, she seemed to be someone of high stature- perfect, given the benefit of the doubt that they seemed to know the geography of the land better.
"…Allow me to introduce myself, I’m Tana of Frelia, hailing from the continent of Magvel, an ocean’s voyage from this location. You called this ‘Crimea’ correct..? That’s perfect, given my current quest! Please, if you were to be so kind, could you point me in the direction of Castle Crimea? I have a note for their Queen."
The map tumbled downward. Thinking quickly, Elincia gave the signal for her mount to dive -- she caught the map at a reach before bringing her mount back up and handing it carefully back to Tana.
An easy smile spread across her face as she did, though she'd never heard of this "Magvel" or "Frelia" before. The girl seemed so nervous. It wasn't the time to voice misgivings. She winged her mount closer and extended a hand.
"You are not as lost as you seem to think, Lady Tana. You've found the queen you're looking for," she answered warmly. "And the castle you seek is just below us. It's a good thing that map wasn't irretrievable; I doubt our navigators could guide you back to your home."
