Stop chasing people. If they block you, cut off contact, ignore you… Let them go. Let those who naturally gravitate to you enjoy your energy. We spend so much time begging for those who wouldn’t blink twice at the thought of you. Cherish those who are there by choice, and not there because you chased them every time they decided to escape.

One day our children are going to ask us "were you alive when 911 happened? When the war in Iraq began? When the Indian Ocean Tsunami hit and killed over 230,000 people? During Hurricane Katrina? During the earthquake in Haiti that left over 300,000 people dead? The Virginia Tech shooting? The Fort Hood shooting? The Boston Marathon bombings? The Sandy Hook elementary school shooting? The killing of Michael Brown? The Century 16 theater shooting in Aurora, CO? The Bangkok, Beirut, Ankara, Brussels, Lahore, and the many other bombings? The attack in Paris? The Orlando nightclub shooting? And the many, many, many other devastating events that have happened?" It's sad that in the 22 years of my life these are only SOME of the big events that have happened and one day our children and grandchildren are going to get history lessons on every one of these and they just won't understand the type of grief the world has been put through. Breaks my heart.
