I’ll keep my fingers crossed for a stray. I can handle a werewolf in a movie or on tv, but in real life I don’t think I could keep a stiff upper lip.
I'll have to round up a few of the other volunteers at the shelter to go protect the town from the forces of darkness.
...Geez the boys have been watching too many superhero movies over lunch.
For everyone’s sake I hope you’re right about just imagining it. God help us all if we have an honest to goodness monster on our hands. Maybe it was just a very large, stray dog?
Hopefully it is just a stray. Either that or we've got a werewolf problem on our hands where they can walk around in broad daylight.

Though it might seem otherwise, there are very few people in Storybrooke who Maria is willing to trust. There are only three people in the entire town who she could say properly know how her mind works, and she’d like to keep it that way. Though she loves the boys to bits, she couldn’t even say they all know the workings of her mind.
Maria’s trust issues in Storybrooke stem from how isolated she felt in her teenage years during the beginning of the Sheriff’s reign of terror. With Robin at war, there were very few people in Nottingham who she felt truly comfortable opening up to without feeling like she was putting her loved ones at risk. Putting on a facade of loyalty for the Sheriff was emotionally exhausting, which is often why she made herself as scarce as possible around the castle. She only ever felt truly comfortable voicing her opinions around Selena and her family, who had suffered at the hands of the Sheriff themselves, along with her father.

Back before she officially turned outlaw, Marian used to help out local healer and midwife Selena Clarke, a.k.a. The Forestwife. Bitter to the Sheriff’s reign of terror after her husband was executed for poaching, Selena took to Sherwood and took on the mantle of the Forestwife; offering help to those who had faced the Sheriff’s wrath and practically helping to start a whole community in the forest from people evicted by the Sheriff’s men. Though Marian picked up a few healing skills from the woman who she practically sees as her mother, her most notable contribution to protecting the people living in Sherwood was helping to develop the reputation for witchcraft the title of Forestwife held. With a little help from Selena’s children, Marian devised “familiars” to deter the Sheriff’s men from searching too far into the forest, which were actually nothing more than animal costumes that would so completely disguise the wearer, rumors of terrible “guardians of the forest” quickly began to spread. The most notable of these creatures was known as King Raven around the Nottingham area; a huge black ‘demonic bird’ that would appear if anyone strayed too close to Selina’s clearing. Though many of the young men and women of Sherwood donned the costumes, never the same person taking on the roles of protector, Marian herself donned the raven costume on more than one occasion, determined to protect the people of Nottingham in any way she could.

Robert, or Rob as he likes to be called, seems to attract trouble wherever he goes. Somehow, he always manages to piss off one of Storybrooke’s big shots, not even he knows how he does it. He’s been in the precint so many times that Graham and Emma ended up taking a liking to him, as the charming young man made some great conversation while locked behind bars. And both officers know that even though Rob’s been in their company one too many times, he’s good at heart. His girlfriend, Maria, certainly knows it. Why else would she still be dating him? Poor girl is always bailing him out, and as if it’s not enough, his friends always come with the package. Even if he annoys her at times, he loves her with all his heart and would never harm her on purpose. More recently, his streak of time in the police station hasn’t been quite as frequent, since he and his beloved Maria have moved in with one another in a house on the edge of the forest that he’d had for years. Though he is worried about the strange dreams Maria has been having, he’d do absolutely anything to keep her safe, and to keep a certain private investigator from letching over her.
In the Enchanted Forest, he’s no other than Robin Hood, the thief who stole from the rich to give to the poor, and obviously managed to piss off just as many big shots as he does in Storybrooke. Although he’s seen as a filthy thief in the eyes of the royals, he’s a hero to the people and will do anything to keep them safe. When his beloved Marian was mortally wounded in battle and nearly died, he risked his own life to steal a magic wand from Rumplestiltskin, and nearly paid for that stunt with his life. Though he was freed from torture by Belle, who allowed him to escape back to Sherwood to heal his lady love.

Not even close. Sometimes Max does something silly that causes trouble. But otherwise? It’s painfully normal with them.

Well, you're more than welcome to try your hand with the boys some time. It'll be good practice if the Matts ever do get themselves into trouble.
Then let’s hope it isn’t that. Actually that must’ve been pretty fun, Regina’s face was probably priceless.

I bet the Matts don't get up to anywhere near the level of shenanigans that the boys do.

This is true. Storybrooke would be pretty dang boring without my boys keeping me on my toes.

My "the boys are doing stupid things and are going to end up being arrested" senses are tingling.
"I've played the part everyone expected of me for far too many years to just sit back and stay away from Sherwood now. Robin can complain all he likes, but now he's returned, there's nothing that's going to stop me from joining him and his outlaws..."

Or, you know, just use their pranks against them. In the interest of fairness of course.
Said dashing knight seems to know an awful lot about possible pranks. *grins playfully* How do I know he's not a spy working for my enemies?
And there's always threatening no more lunch runs. That usually works with keeping them in line.
