Rainy Day || Belle & Brooke
Tap. Tap. Tap. Belle was organizing the shelves in the Storybrooke library, listening to the rain fall against the windows, feeling bored. It was pouring outside and she had nothing else to do, since nobody had come in so far that day. The brunette ran her fingers over the spines, amusing herself with the various textures she encountered. Suddenly, she heard the door creak open. Someone was finally there.
Getting soaked in the rain once already this year had been enough of a reminder to Brooke to wear a jacket when she'd left the house that morning. As the rain had started to pour, she'd turned up the collar and adjusted her hat to keep her head dry. The storm had started in the middle of one of her deliveries, and even though she'd finished for the day, the storm raged on.
She took a quick glance around at the neighboring buildings. The choice in front of her was simple, either wait out the storm at one of the shops, or run back home. After another minute of standing in the rain, it was clear which option she should take, and she ducked into the library. Nothing would be better at passing the time than a good book.
"Sorry in advance," Brooke called as she shut the door behind her, hoping someone was around to hear, "I think I might leave a mess." She slipped out of her jacket and hat, drips and drops of rainwater spilling onto the floor.
