Personally as someone totally head over heels in love with the vilification of authority figures I think we’re a little too Hornee for Optimus to ascend to the big bad daddy we all crave. As much as i am ehhhh iffy on feral Starscream stuff, I 1000% love it when ALL the Cybertronians act a little feral as a treat. They get growled at, growl back. Making absolute fools of themselves. Hissing. Fighting Ratchet when it's time for antivirus updates. Absolutely climbing up and down larger mecha. Stupid petty fights.
