"Goodnight," Taesan said.
You were walking in, but then halted abruptly, turning back toward him like you'd forgotten something important.
"Taesan, your clothes are drenched, come inside and change,"
He opened his mouth to protest, but you were already tugging him forward. Fingers warm around his wrist, you pulled him into your apartment like you'd done a hundred times before.
The two of you entered your apartment which was completely dark.
"Is everyone asleep? It's okay, really," Taesan said, already knowing he shouldn't be here.
"No one's home right now," you replied. "It's just us, so don't worry."
That's worse Taesan thought.
His thoughts barely finished forming before you were dragging him down the hallway, straight into your room. You beelined for your closet, rummaging through clothes like this was normal, like his presence didn't mean anything at all.
"Here," you handed Taesan some of your more oversized clothes and you disappeared, leaving him alone in the room.
He was in your bedroom now, water still clinging to his hair as he pulled his shirt off. The lights still wouldn't turn on, but it didn't matter; everything felt familiar anyway. The layout. The air. The faint scent that was unmistakably you.
Then a knock. Soft, hesitant.
He turned just as the door opened.
"Why are the lights still off?" you muttered, fumbling around with the light switch.
"Is the power out? It wasn't turning on earlier" Taesan said.
"You're kidding," you said quietly, realization sinking in. "Whatever. Where are you, anyway...?"" you said, trying to feel for Taesan in the dark room.
Suddenly you bumped into a bare chest.
"Taesan?! Why aren't you wearing anything??"
"I was in the middle of it." he said hoarsely. "You came in out of nowhere,"
Before you could argue back, Taesan bumped into something in the room, causing him to stumble back —and you went with him.
"Ow" you hissed.
It was only then that Taesan realized you were sitting in his lap, your hands braced onto his shoulders.
"You really are blind aren't you" Taesan said, which earned him a punch on the arm.
"I can see prefectly fine! See your face is right here," you fought back, cupping the boy's face, trying to feel him through the dark.
Your fingers found his jaw, tracing the line of it, slow and curious. His breath hitched.
"Mhm," he murmured, barely there. "What else?"
"Your neck is here?" Your touch drifted down to his neck, and the pulse there, and Taesan's hands moved before he could stop them, settling at your waist like they belonged there.
"What else, Y/N?" he whispered, your name threading through his chest.
And you responded by leaning in, finding his lips with yours, sinking into him as deeply as you could.
The worst part was that Taesan responded immediately, kissing you back just as feverishly.
Taesan pulled away for a second, wanting to take a look at you, just now seeing how you'd changed into your sleep shorts and a thin tank top.
His throat went dry.
You chuckled as if you'd read his mind, now grabbing his face to kiss him again.
The kiss wasn't rushed. It wasn't clumsy. It felt devastatingly right, soft at first, then deeper, like Taesan was trying to remember something he'd never forgotten.
Taesan's lips trailed down to your neck and his hands travelled under your top.
But he pulled back abruptly, his heart pounding against his chest.
"No bra?" he breathed —

Taesan jolted awake, breathing heavily.
He was alone in his room. Empty. Quiet. That wasn't real?
He groaned, raking a hand through his hair. There was no way he just had a dream about you.
Taesan glanced at his phone for a second, contemplating if he should text you, but shook his head.
It was late. And he shouldn't be doing this.
He knew he was crossing a line when he offered to walk you home and now that he was having dreams of you, he knew that it would be hard to go back to how the two of you were before.
Fuck.
This wasn't part of his plan at all.

You were happier than usual today.
Maybe it was the good grade you got on that essay or a random girl complimenting your hair earlier,
or the fact that you were 99% sure Taesan still liked you.
You weren't being delusional this time you swear!! And being the loud mouth that you were, the very next morning that Taesan had walked you home, you decided to spill everything to your roommates.
They were a little disappointed at first that you were still thirsting over your ex, but as you kept telling them every detail they were warming up and rooting for the two of you.
"So he was the one that brought you home that night?" Yunah screamed.
"Did your entire skincare routine and basically tucked you into bed??" Minju shouted even louder.
"You freak, I bet you were glad you left the umbrella" Moka teased.
It felt great being able to finally share everything without holding in. The only worry in your mind was if Taesan truly felt the same as you. As confident as you were before, retelling your past interactions with Taesan did feel a bit inconsistent at times and you were scared that his intentions weren't the same as yours.
If you could, you'd get back together with Taesan in a heartbeat; after seeing him for so long, it felt so natural but still so heart fluttery to be this close to him again.
But did Taesan feel the same? He was never the type to lead people on or be one for casual relationships, but a lot could change over a year.
As confident as you were that Taesan still might like you, you had no way to prove it
and you absolutely were not going to ask him.
So you decided to subtly throw hints, a way of indirectly showing your feelings for him.
"Why do you look so happy today?" Taesan asked, laughing softly.
You shrugged, sitting next to him as the class hummed in the background. "The weather is nice today,"
You watched him nod slowly, a shy smile coming up to his face.
"Do you not like the weather today?" you asked.
"It's fine, just a little windy," Taesan's hand came up to your hair. "See?" he chuckled, picking up a small leaf.
Your smile dropped immeadiately, feeling embarrassed. You instantly turned around in your seat, looking away, while you heard Taesan laugh some more in the background.
Oh hell no. How am I supposed to flirt now??
You coughed awkwardly. "What are you doing later today?"
Okay. Definitely not subtle. Actually, nothing about you was ever subtle at all.
Taesan arched an eyebrow, looking at you. "Why do you ask?"
"Um, new coffee shop opened up... their seasonal menu looked good I wanted to check it out," You rambled, trying not to stutter.
"...Also it's next to that vinyl store you liked," you added shyly.
Taesan raised his eyebrows as if this was something he wasn't expecting to hear in the slightest. As if the idea was so outlandish and shouldn't happen at all...
"Actually, I'm not sure— "Lets go," the two of you said at the same time.
"Let's go" Taesan repeated. "I've been needing to go the the vinyl store again anyways,"
Oh. So it's not because you wanna see me but you want to run errands? Huh??
"Okay," you said a little quieter.
"And we can go to the coffee shop together first," Taesan added. "Are there any bakeries nearby? You'll probably cry if you don't have any pastries with you,"
Okay nevermind.
It was embarassing how quickly your eyes lit up. "I think so! Or they should be within walking distance? I can look them up later and text you?"
"Okay okay," Taesan let out a small laugh. "I can pick you up after your last class,"
"Nono, you don’t have to. I finish pretty late tonight so I can meet up with you instead!"
"Hmm, then come over to my place and we can head out together,"
Wow that's intimate. That might just be too much. Also had it always been so hot and stuffy in this class?
Too nervous to think, you just nodded to Taesan's words, and finally started listening to your professor (not that you learned much anyways)
After an excruciating hour, class finally ended. So what you were thinking about Taesan the whole time, you had a date to look forward to. Plus you weren't able to focus at all.
Your mind was buzzing with different thoughts. Would you have enough time to everything shower? Should you wear a new perfume or an old one that he liked? What does he even like now?
"Hey," Taesan's voice filled your ears. “Text me later, yeah?"
You nodded, way too eagerly. "I'll let you know when I'm done,"
"Okay, and be careful on your way, the weather's a bit unpredictable it seems," Taesan said as his hand came up to ruffle your hair.
You could've melted right there on the spot.
But you held your composure, just nodding back as you watched the boy leave.
You realized you should be mentally prepared for later today; if Taesan kept this up, you might just eat him alive.
You didn't register when and how he became so bold. It was weird. Han Taesan was making you feel weird lately. It seemed like everytime you were with him your face would get uncomfortably warm and your head would go blank. Maybe it was just you having a crush again but you swore no one had ever made you feel this way. It had to be unhealthy how fast your heart would race when you'd get close to him,
but it was possible you just liked Han Taesan too much.

Taesan was having fun today.
He wasn't planning on teasing you this much but you were being too cute lately.
He really took the time you were dating for granted, because if he could, he would have grabbed your face and kissed you right in the middle of the lecture.
Well maybe not that specifically, (Taesan was way too shy to ever do that) but in that moment, all he wanted to do was just take your hand after class and run to an empty room or secret corridor on campus and pepper kisses all over your face.
You were the only one that could get him to act this way and you didn't even know it. Taesan didn't realize when he became so attached to you again, how much space you took in his mind.
Perhaps it was the moment he saw you again after so long?
"Drink some more water and sober up," Taesan tsked at the girl hugging him.
Wow. Y/N's passcode was still the same. What if I'd tried to barge in? He thought intrusively.
Taesan hated how everything in your apartment felt so familiar and how he practically knew where everything was.
Seeing your state, (which was completely gone by the way) he realized that you wouldn't be able to do anything by yourself at this point.
After slipping off your shoes, and kicking off his own, he picked you up, carrying you to your bathroom.
"Taesannn," you sang out as the boy placed you down on the bathroom counter.
He just shook his head as he fumbled around trying to find the headband you always wore when you washed your face.
"I want to kiss youuu,"
Taesan immediately froze, feeling a blush creep up his neck.
You did have a habit of being more affectionate when drunk but Taesan was not prepared for this at all.
With half-lidded eyes, you sloppily leaned forward, to which Taesan instictively put a hand on your waist, making sure you wouldn't fall.
That didn't stop you however; you puckered your lips, shamelessly trying to peck the boy in front of you, but Taesan just put his palm in front of your face, his hand meeting your lips instead.
"Hmm?" you frowned, looking up at an unamused Taesan.
"Y/N, you're drunk right now, you're gonna regret this when you wake up,"
"I won't regret it, I promiseee" you whined, but Taesan's face was stern.
He proceeded to dab a cotton pad with makeup remover on your face as gently as he could. You winced at the cold feeling at first, but just watched Taesan as he cupped your face, angling it towards him.
"You don't want to kiss me?" you tilted your head, trying to read the boy's face.
"It's not that... I just can't kiss you right now,"
Your eyes lit up, only selectively hearing Taesan's words, "Can we kiss later then?"
"Maybe,"
"Really?" You wrapped your arms around the boy.
Taesan poked your face with your moisturizer. "Actually, no comment,"
You continued to pester him for the remainder of the night, switching between clinging onto the boy and acting as if you were going to cry any second. Taesan endured it all, never once complaining, and going along with it every time.
It wasn't hard for you to go to bed; the second Taesan led you back to your room, you collapsed, already half asleep. He scolded you about sleeping in your going out clothes and how uncomfortable it'd be in the morning, but you were way too tired to change. (In the end, the two of you came to a compromise, with Taesan slipping an oversized tee over your shoulders).
You fell asleep instantly, and Taesan watched you, making sure not to leave until he saw your steady breathing. He contemplated writing a note, reminding you of your embarassing moments or maybe just to make sure you give him a text the next morning that you were feeling okay?
But who was he kidding.
Taesan wasn't your boyfriend anymore and as familiar as tonight felt, it was wrong to step in this far. He shook his head, forgetting about the note. You had a habit of forgetting most things after drinking too much, and Taesan was okay with it.
Maybe it would be easier to forget tonight knowing that you wouldn't remember a thing.
So with a sigh, Taesan got up, ready to leave your apartment. His headphones were still M.I.A, according to a text from Leehan, and he'd probably only get a couple hours of sleep at this point.
Taesan glanced at you one last time as his hand touched the doorknob.
Fuck it.
He came closer to you, and quickly placed a kiss on top of your forehead.
Taesan always kept his promises, especially when it came to you.

TAESAN was losing his mind.
It felt like you were suddenly being thrown into his life again and he wasn't sure how to react. Was this some sort of bad premonition? Were you a bad luck charm?
Because ever since that night he saw you again, Taesan had been feeling weird.
The thing is, Taesan had always been a confident guy. Sure, he was quieter than his friends and awkward in some ways, but when he made his mind up about something, he never looked back. He thought more with his brain than his heart, so he was always confident in his choices, knowing that his decisions could be backed up with reasoning. So when you decided to break up with him last year, he decided that he would never date you again.
I mean, it was you that told him to his face that he wasn't doing enough and that the relationship felt draining. How could he chase after you knowing this was how you felt about him for a while?
It was hard for Taesan after the day you broke up with him. His feelings for you couldn't change that quickly and of course he was hurt after the breakup even months later. So he told himself, even if you two were the last people on earth, he wouldn't ever date you again. He wouldn't let himself get hurt, not a second time.
So now that you keep showing up everywhere he seems to go, he feels weird.
Again, Taesan was a confident guy, and someone who always stuck through with his decisions, but you were making him waver.
When he realized you were sitting next to him in class his brain nearly short-circuited. Seeing you was supposed to be a one time thing; he was okay with playing the boyfriend role that night because that was the only time he'd ever see you again and he was sure you wouldn't be able to remember it. He could easily erase it out of his mind and pretend it never happened. (Taesan, in fact, could not sleep at all that night).
But having to sit next to you for an hour, five times a week was pushing it.
Taesan never really stopped liking you. He just forced his brain to, and pushed the thought of you and him to the very back of his head. You made your choice and Taesan was simply respecting that. He decided that he was done dwelling on the fact that you dumped him. He tried not to reach out no matter how badly he missed you. But it was easier when you were out of his line of sight. Now with you inches away from his reach it was a little harder not to constantly think about you.
So he chose to hate you and think you were a nuisance to him instead.
But every interaction with you lately had him going against himself. Teasing you was fun and almost came too naturally. How could it not? He used to know you like the back of his hand and it seemed like you hadn't changed much from when you two were dating. (which didn't help him at all). You were still the same girl that he fell in love with years ago and it was eating at him to admit it.
But Taesan decided it'd be better to be a jerk than to act as if things were normal.
Except when he actually spoke to you, he was seconds away from shitting his pants.
He left class cringing at his own words. Don't even dream about it?? Who do you think you are??
Taesan winced, biting his knuckles from embarrassment.
He zoned out for the whole day, not being able to take his mind off that interaction. Still, it was nice seeing her face.
Wait.
Taesan was feeling conflicted. He was supposed to hate you. You were the one who broke up with him first, but then you were clinging onto him a year later as if nothing happened. You hurt Taesan first and he was allowed to resent you for it. He should resent you for it. But deep down he knew he couldn't.
Since he was younger, Taesan had always been levelheaded and certain about everything he did. But one look from you broke the walls he'd been building for months down.

YOU HATED the fact that you were spending extra time getting ready in the morning.
You still had feelings for Han Taesan, but you couldn't tell if he felt the same at all. You were never good at figuring out what he was thinking but you told yourself he was also good at hiding his emotions.
Either way, you were early to class today.
As you sat down for your music theory elective, you felt a little more self conscious. It seemed like the class was full of your typical lively band kids that all knew each other. You watched as practically everyone flocked to the opposite side of your seat, all greeting each other.
You turned around in your seat, desperate to befriend anyone.
"Hi! I'm Y/N, what's your name?" you said cheerfully to the girl behind you.
She looked at you with a straight face "Hi,"
"I like your jewelry, it's so cute!"
"....Thanks" she snickered.
Oh nah. You turned back around in your seat, not wanting to talk anymore.
Was I being too forward? Too loud in the morning? I get it if she doesn't want to talk though..!! You frowned feeling bummed about the failed conversation.
Taesan walked in as your thoughts drifted around. Almost immediately you noticed how his eyes darted to yours for a second, but then he quickly shifted his gaze to another group of students on the other side of the class, smiling widely.
It's not like you expected him to sit with you, but he could've smiled in your way too?
But you were getting ahead of yourself again. Taesan was your ex and you were crazy for following him around lately.
Your head sunk into your palms. You were so embarrassed knowing that you partially picked this class for a boy that wouldn't go as far as to say hi to you.
He was being so bold yesterday? I guess I was thinking too deeply about it.
Whatever. You needed this class for the credits. Taesan wasn't the only reason you were here.
But your eyes kept flicking back to the boy, seeing him with an unfamiliar group of friends, laughing and talking so energetically.
"Y/N?" you heard Anton's voice behind you and sighed in relief finally recognizing someone.
"Anton!" you waved him over. He slipped into the seat next to you.
"Everything okay? You look a little upset... or are you just tired?"
You chuckled; you could never fake your emotions.
"No it's nothing bad!! I was just trying to make new friends and it failed," you said, keeping your voice low.
Anton glanced at your line of sight, and laughed.
"Yeah fyi if you were trying to talk to Iroha she is not a morning person at all, other times she's nice," Anton whispered back.
You nodded slowly.
"Don't be intimidated, everyone's actually really nice even if it seems pretty cliquey right now," Anton patted your back.
Class started soon after and it was more interesting than you thought. Towards the middle of lecture, your professor instructed everyone to grab handouts at the front of class.
"Sit down, I'll grab them for both of us!!" you told Anton.
As you walked down, you were curious of Taesan again. The class was moderately big, you were wondering if he had already walked ahead. Maybe it was good that you weren't watching him as closely.
"You're walking so slowly, move," As if on cue, you heard Taesan's voice directly behind you.
You whipped your head back to which Taesan just shrugged, striding past you.
But when you caught up to him, he handed a paper to you as well.
"Just take it," he muttered.
"Give me one more, I need an extra for Anton,"
Taesan narrowed his eyes and started heading back. "He can get it himself."

"I'M HEADING OUT," you called out later that evening, slipping into your shoes.
Moka poked her head out, brushing her teeth.
"It's late where are you going?" you managed to understand she yelled.
"Library. There's an assignment I want to start early and I think I'll be able to focus more all alone locked up in a study room,"
Moka spit out her toothpaste.
"Okay but just don't be out too long, you have an early class tomorrow! Also bring an umbrella, it should be raining later!" she scolded, lathering on her face wash.
"I won't be out too long, just an hour at most!" knowing yourself, you would've gotten scared roaming around campus too late at night.
But you had an essay for a class. And you were best at writing when you were at the library, alone with all your thoughts. Most times you were able to finish it in one sitting.
So you left after saying goodbye to Moka, subsequently forgetting the umbrella she told you to bring, only realizing it once you made it to the library.
Hopefully the forecast is wrong, it didn't seem like it was going to rain at all.
The forecast indeed was correct.
As soon as you sat down, the soft noise of rain falling filled your ears. (At least it called for good background music.)
By the time the clock was ticking towards midnight, you stretched your arms, sighing in relief. Your paper was done and you were so ready to crawl into bed.
Unlike your schoolwork however, it seemed like the stormy weather was nowhere near stopping.
Should I text someone to pick me up? Ahh but it's also pretty late I don't want to be a nuisance.
You contemplated between your roommates or even Anton, but ultimately couldn't muster up the courage to send a bothersome text.
It can't be that bad? Your feet were finally at the doors out the library but one look outside answered your question.
It was that bad.
You turned around, mentally preparing to just wait out the rain, but then you saw that familiar face.
Taesan was here.
He was with a group of others, some familiar faces from class earlier, walking towards the exit of the library.
You hated the way you caught him laughing with them —and how one girl couldn't stop slapping his arm.
There was no way you were about to face him now. You weren't ready to see him again today, especially now, feeling awkward and scrambling around all out of place.
You slowly walked towards the exit, cringing at how uncomfortable the walk home would be in the rain.
But you could've swore you heard Taesan's voice clearly.
"I'll head out first." he said to the group.
"What? We all agreed on karaoke Taesan, you can't ditch us now!!" one of the girls whined.
"Next time, I forgot I had something to take care of. I'll see you guys later"
You weren't trying to be nosy, they were just loud, you told yourself.
Before you could wonder what task Taesan had forgotten that was so important, you felt a tug at your arm.
"Hey,"
"What," you mumbled, not daring to look at Taesan, knowing fully well that your face was heating up.
"Heading home? Didn't you bring an umbrella?"
"Yes, and no I forgot it. I didn't think it'd actually rain," you grumbled out the last part.
Taesan sighed and shook his head before reaching in his backpack to pull out his own umbrella. "I'll walk you home,"
"No no, it's okay!! It's inconvenient," you protested.
"Don't argue, it's late and it's cold,"
He was right. The two of you were standing together outside the library, and while there was a roof over your heads protecting you from the rain, the two of you were still outside.
"Come on Y/N, let's get you home," Taesan said softly.
You must have misheard him. Because there was no reason for Taesan to be this sweet right now.
Either way, you nodded and inched a bit closer, under his umbrella.
You broke the silence after a few minutes. "Weren't you supposed to be with your friends right now?"
Taesan narrowed his eyes down at you, "Someone's interested in my life,"
"I just happened to overhear.." you muttered.
Taesan was silent for a second for speaking, "I didn't wanna go anyways, wasn't in the mood,"
You love karaoke though?
You were reminded again of the stories Taesan would tell you about his rebellious teenage days, where he'd sneak out with his friends to the noraebang, or times the two of you would go together, with him serenading you to cheesy ballads. The only thing you wanted to do in this moment was grab Taesan's hand, swinging your arms together like you used you. But you knew you couldn't, and took a small step further from him instead.
Taesan noticed and stuck closer to you, but this time with his arm pressing lightly against yours. Barely there, but lingering too long to be an accident.
He cleared his throat awkwardly, "What were you even doing in the library this late? The semester's barely started,"
"I have an essay due later. Anton said the class would be easy but theres so many assignments,"
Taesan scoffed under his breath "Do you guys take every class together?"
You looked up at him, not realizing that he was looking directly at you as well.
"We're just in the same major, our classes overlap" you retorted.
"He's practically glued to your side, all the time"
It was your turn to scoff back.
"So jealous from the same guy ignoring me in class today," you said, making sure to poke him.
"I wasn't trying to," Taesan huffed quietly. "And I'm not jealous at all,"
"You were glaring at him"
"What if I was glaring at you?"
You slowed your steps by the smallest amount and noticed how Taesan instinctively followed, matching his pace with yours. The umbrella was also closer to you, with Taesan's jacket sleeve getting rained on just so you could be completely covered.
The two of you stopped soon after, now at the entrance your apartment. You wished that the walk would've lasted longer.
"I think you're lying," you tried hard to wipe the stupid grin off your face.
"Which part?"
"The part where you left you your friends saying that you had something so urgent to take care of,"
"I wasn't lying about that, it was important," Taesan said, the last part more of a whisper.
You opened you mouth to say something again, but Taesan beat you to it.
"Get inside now" he said, nudging you. "If I get sick because of you, I'll kill you,"
You looked down smiling. Small and warm, like a secret.
“Goodnight, Taesan. And thank you,”
“Goodnight,” he replied.
You turned and disappeared inside, and Taesan stood there for a moment longer, rain soaking through his jacket, heart fluttering uncomfortably in his chest.

TAESAN was losing his mind.
It felt like you were suddenly being thrown into his life again and he wasn't sure how to react. Was this some sort of bad premonition? Were you a bad luck charm?
Because ever since that night he saw you again, Taesan had been feeling weird.
The thing is, Taesan had always been a confident guy. Sure, he was quieter than his friends and awkward in some ways, but when he made his mind up about something, he never looked back. He thought more with his brain than his heart, so he was always confident in his choices, knowing that his decisions could be backed up with reasoning. So when you decided to break up with him last year, he decided that he would never date you again.
I mean, it was you that told him to his face that he wasn't doing enough and that the relationship felt draining. How could he chase after you knowing this was how you felt about him for a while?
It was hard for Taesan after the day you broke up with him. His feelings for you couldn't change that quickly and of course he was hurt after the breakup even months later. So he told himself, even if you two were the last people on earth, he wouldn't ever date you again. He wouldn't let himself get hurt, not a second time.
So now that you keep showing up everywhere he seems to go, he feels weird.
Again, Taesan was a confident guy, and someone who always stuck through with his decisions, but you were making him waver.
When he realized you were sitting next to him in class his brain nearly short-circuited. Seeing you was supposed to be a one time thing; he was okay with playing the boyfriend role that night because that was the only time he'd ever see you again and he was sure you wouldn't be able to remember it. He could easily erase it out of his mind and pretend it never happened. (Taesan, in fact, could not sleep at all that night).
But having to sit next to you for an hour, five times a week was pushing it.
Taesan never really stopped liking you. He just forced his brain to, and pushed the thought of you and him to the very back of his head. You made your choice and Taesan was simply respecting that. He decided that he was done dwelling on the fact that you dumped him. He tried not to reach out no matter how badly he missed you. But it was easier when you were out of his line of sight. Now with you inches away from his reach it was a little harder not to constantly think about you.
So he chose to hate you and think you were a nuisance to him instead.
But every interaction with you lately had him going against himself. Teasing you was fun and almost came too naturally. How could it not? He used to know you like the back of his hand and it seemed like you hadn't changed much from when you two were dating. (which didn't help him at all). You were still the same girl that he fell in love with years ago and it was eating at him to admit it.
But Taesan decided it'd be better to be a jerk than to act as if things were normal.
Except when he actually spoke to you, he was seconds away from shitting his pants.
He left class cringing at his own words. Don't even dream about it?? Who do you think you are??
Taesan winced, biting his knuckles from embarrassment.
He zoned out for the whole day, not being able to take his mind off that interaction. Still, it was nice seeing her face.
Wait.
Taesan was feeling conflicted. He was supposed to hate you. You were the one who broke up with him first, but then you were clinging onto him a year later as if nothing happened. You hurt Taesan first and he was allowed to resent you for it. He should resent you for it. But deep down he knew he couldn't.
Since he was younger, Taesan had always been levelheaded and certain about everything he did. But one look from you broke the walls he'd been building for months down.

YOU HATED the fact that you were spending extra time getting ready in the morning.
You still had feelings for Han Taesan, but you couldn't tell if he felt the same at all. You were never good at figuring out what he was thinking but you told yourself he was also good at hiding his emotions.
Either way, you were early to class today.
As you sat down for your music theory elective, you felt a little more self conscious. It seemed like the class was full of your typical lively band kids that all knew each other. You watched as practically everyone flocked to the opposite side of your seat, all greeting each other.
You turned around in your seat, desperate to befriend anyone.
"Hi! I'm Y/N, what's your name?" you said cheerfully to the girl behind you.
She looked at you with a straight face "Hi,"
"I like your jewelry, it's so cute!"
"....Thanks" she snickered.
Oh nah. You turned back around in your seat, not wanting to talk anymore.
Was I being too forward? Too loud in the morning? I get it if she doesn't want to talk though..!! You frowned feeling bummed about the failed conversation.
Taesan walked in as your thoughts drifted around. Almost immediately you noticed how his eyes darted to yours for a second, but then he quickly shifted his gaze to another group of students on the other side of the class, smiling widely.
It's not like you expected him to sit with you, but he could've smiled in your way too?
But you were getting ahead of yourself again. Taesan was your ex and you were crazy for following him around lately.
Your head sunk into your palms. You were so embarrassed knowing that you partially picked this class for a boy that wouldn't go as far as to say hi to you.
He was being so bold yesterday? I guess I was thinking too deeply about it.
Whatever. You needed this class for the credits. Taesan wasn't the only reason you were here.
But your eyes kept flicking back to the boy, seeing him with an unfamiliar group of friends, laughing and talking so energetically.
"Y/N?" you heard Anton's voice behind you and sighed in relief finally recognizing someone.
"Anton!" you waved him over. He slipped into the seat next to you.
"Everything okay? You look a little upset... or are you just tired?"
You chuckled; you could never fake your emotions.
"No it's nothing bad!! I was just trying to make new friends and it failed," you said, keeping your voice low.
Anton glanced at your line of sight, and laughed.
"Yeah fyi if you were trying to talk to Iroha she is not a morning person at all, other times she's nice," Anton whispered back.
You nodded slowly.
"Don't be intimidated, everyone's actually really nice even if it seems pretty cliquey right now," Anton patted your back.
Class started soon after and it was more interesting than you thought. Towards the middle of lecture, your professor instructed everyone to grab handouts at the front of class.
"Sit down, I'll grab them for both of us!!" you told Anton.
As you walked down, you were curious of Taesan again. The class was moderately big, you were wondering if he had already walked ahead. Maybe it was good that you weren't watching him as closely.
"You're walking so slowly, move," As if on cue, you heard Taesan's voice directly behind you.
You whipped your head back to which Taesan just shrugged, striding past you.
But when you caught up to him, he handed a paper to you as well.
"Just take it," he muttered.
"Give me one more, I need an extra for Anton,"
Taesan narrowed his eyes and started heading back. "He can get it himself."

"I'M HEADING OUT," you called out later that evening, slipping into your shoes.
Moka poked her head out, brushing her teeth.
"It's late where are you going?" you managed to understand she yelled.
"Library. There's an assignment I want to start early and I think I'll be able to focus more all alone locked up in a study room,"
Moka spit out her toothpaste.
"Okay but just don't be out too long, you have an early class tomorrow! Also bring an umbrella, it should be raining later!" she scolded, lathering on her face wash.
"I won't be out too long, just an hour at most!" knowing yourself, you would've gotten scared roaming around campus too late at night.
But you had an essay for a class. And you were best at writing when you were at the library, alone with all your thoughts. Most times you were able to finish it in one sitting.
So you left after saying goodbye to Moka, subsequently forgetting the umbrella she told you to bring, only realizing it once you made it to the library.
Hopefully the forecast is wrong, it didn't seem like it was going to rain at all.
The forecast indeed was correct.
As soon as you sat down, the soft noise of rain falling filled your ears. (At least it called for good background music.)
By the time the clock was ticking towards midnight, you stretched your arms, sighing in relief. Your paper was done and you were so ready to crawl into bed.
Unlike your schoolwork however, it seemed like the stormy weather was nowhere near stopping.
Should I text someone to pick me up? Ahh but it's also pretty late I don't want to be a nuisance.
You contemplated between your roommates or even Anton, but ultimately couldn't muster up the courage to send a bothersome text.
It can't be that bad? Your feet were finally at the doors out the library but one look outside answered your question.
It was that bad.
You turned around, mentally preparing to just wait out the rain, but then you saw that familiar face.
Taesan was here.
He was with a group of others, some familiar faces from class earlier, walking towards the exit of the library.
You hated the way you caught him laughing with them —and how one girl couldn't stop slapping his arm.
There was no way you were about to face him now. You weren't ready to see him again today, especially now, feeling awkward and scrambling around all out of place.
You slowly walked towards the exit, cringing at how uncomfortable the walk home would be in the rain.
But you could've swore you heard Taesan's voice clearly.
"I'll head out first." he said to the group.
"What? We all agreed on karaoke Taesan, you can't ditch us now!!" one of the girls whined.
"Next time, I forgot I had something to take care of. I'll see you guys later"
You weren't trying to be nosy, they were just loud, you told yourself.
Before you could wonder what task Taesan had forgotten that was so important, you felt a tug at your arm.
"Hey,"
"What," you mumbled, not daring to look at Taesan, knowing fully well that your face was heating up.
"Heading home? Didn't you bring an umbrella?"
"Yes, and no I forgot it. I didn't think it'd actually rain," you grumbled out the last part.
Taesan sighed and shook his head before reaching in his backpack to pull out his own umbrella. "I'll walk you home,"
"No no, it's okay!! It's inconvenient," you protested.
"Don't argue, it's late and it's cold,"
He was right. The two of you were standing together outside the library, and while there was a roof over your heads protecting you from the rain, the two of you were still outside.
"Come on Y/N, let's get you home," Taesan said softly.
You must have misheard him. Because there was no reason for Taesan to be this sweet right now.
Either way, you nodded and inched a bit closer, under his umbrella.
You broke the silence after a few minutes. "Weren't you supposed to be with your friends right now?"
Taesan narrowed his eyes down at you, "Someone's interested in my life,"
"I just happened to overhear.." you muttered.
Taesan was silent for a second for speaking, "I didn't wanna go anyways, wasn't in the mood,"
You love karaoke though?
You were reminded again of the stories Taesan would tell you about his rebellious teenage days, where he'd sneak out with his friends to the noraebang, or times the two of you would go together, with him serenading you to cheesy ballads. The only thing you wanted to do in this moment was grab Taesan's hand, swinging your arms together like you used you. But you knew you couldn't, and took a small step further from him instead.
Taesan noticed and stuck closer to you, but this time with his arm pressing lightly against yours. Barely there, but lingering too long to be an accident.
He cleared his throat awkwardly, "What were you even doing in the library this late? The semester's barely started,"
"I have an essay due later. Anton said the class would be easy but theres so many assignments,"
Taesan scoffed under his breath "Do you guys take every class together?"
You looked up at him, not realizing that he was looking directly at you as well.
"We're just in the same major, our classes overlap" you retorted.
"He's practically glued to your side, all the time"
It was your turn to scoff back.
"So jealous from the same guy ignoring me in class today," you said, making sure to poke him.
"I wasn't trying to," Taesan huffed quietly. "And I'm not jealous at all,"
"You were glaring at him"
"What if I was glaring at you?"
You slowed your steps by the smallest amount and noticed how Taesan instinctively followed, matching his pace with yours. The umbrella was also closer to you, with Taesan's jacket sleeve getting rained on just so you could be completely covered.
The two of you stopped soon after, now at the entrance your apartment. You wished that the walk would've lasted longer.
"I think you're lying," you tried hard to wipe the stupid grin off your face.
"Which part?"
"The part where you left you your friends saying that you had something so urgent to take care of,"
"I wasn't lying about that, it was important," Taesan said, the last part more of a whisper.
You opened you mouth to say something again, but Taesan beat you to it.
"Get inside now" he said, nudging you. "If I get sick because of you, I'll kill you,"
You looked down smiling. Small and warm, like a secret.
“Goodnight, Taesan. And thank you,”
“Goodnight,” he replied.
You turned and disappeared inside, and Taesan stood there for a moment longer, rain soaking through his jacket, heart fluttering uncomfortably in his chest.
He hated how easy it still was to fall back into you.

But you held your composure as you walked to your next class.
You were such a hypocrite; the day that you swore to yourself that you'd get over Taesan just had to be the day you'd see him after a year. Maybe the universe was saying to get back together too!!
You couldn't help but zone out for the rest of the day thinking back on that one interaction with Taesan trying to analyze every little detail.
He has to still care about me right? He put in so much effort into making sure I was okay... but at the same time he was still kinda rude today? But he's like that with everyone too I guess...
You hated this feeling. So what if he did your exhaustive skincare routine for you while you were blacked out and probably clinging onto him. He hadn’t spoken to you for a year. He doesn’t care about you…right?
The crowd blurred around you; your thoughts were louder than the noise. You didn’t even register the solid warmth in front of you until you stumbled back.
A hand caught your wrist before you could fall. “Y/N? Haha what’s got you so lost in thought” Anton grinned.
You sighed in relief seeing your friend. The two of you were a little more than acquaintances, although it seemed like you were getting closer from how much you ran into each other. You were glad to have a friend that was comforting (but also didn’t know every detail of your life too).
“Are you taking any electives” Anton asked, as the two of you head to the dining hall, talking about each other’s days.
You shook your head. “What about you?”
“I’m taking a music theory and linguistics one. Both boring but seem to be super easy, if you still need them for your credits you should add one”
“Hmm maybe.. I do need to get my electives out of the way,”
Anton smiled. “I’ll text you later tonight about the details!”

You were finally done with your last class and you couldn’t be more relieved. Although it was just the first day back and it was nice catching up with friends, you couldn’t wait to come home and nap.
Apparently you and everyone else in your vicinity was thinking the same thing —as you headed to the elevator you noticed at least twenty people behind you.
You rushed inside as soon as the doors opened (the last thing you wanted to do right now was take the four flights of stairs).
You were able to get in the elevator luckily, but so were the people behind you. The elevator soon got full quickly, with everyone scrambling around trying to cram in.
You kept inching behind you to avoid as much contact with everyone but it was nearly impossible. Especially when you noticed that you had just stepped on someone’s foot at the very back of the elevator. You swiftly turned around to apologize, not expecting to see him.
“Oh you’ve got to be kidding me,” you muttered under your breath.
Taesan glared back. “You’re following me now? and stepping on me too?”
Before you could respond, you felt someone push through you, causing you to stumble a bit forward. You hated this. Being in an elevator filled to the brim with strangers and Taesan so close to you was your personal hell. You quickly glanced around to see if there was anything you could hold on to balance your footing but there was nothing.
You wanted to look up at Taesan to signal at him to help yet you just couldn’t.
But it seemed as if he’d already read your mind; you heard him mumble something before grabbing you to switch places with him. Taesan stood in front of you keeping the distance between you two wide enough where you could still breathe yet close enough that no one else could brush against you.
Maybe he could feel your eyes burning holes through him, because he glanced back to you for a second.
"I'm not doing this to protect you or anything," Taesan said, rolling his eyes. "I'm getting off soon"
The elevator hummed softly as people continued to come in and out. You tried to focus on anything else, like the flicker of the floor numbers or the weight of your bag digging into your shoulder, but the familiar scent of Taesan’s cologne was the only thing clouding your mind.
You hated that it still got to you. That after all this time, one trace of his cologne could drag you straight back to him. You told yourself it was just a smell, that it didn’t mean anything, but from the way your breath hitched, you knew you’d just be lying to yourself again.
The elevator lurched slightly as it stopped at another floor. Someone brushed past Taesan on their way out, and his arm shifted to your side almost instinctively.
You tried not to fixate on the fact that he was so close to holding your hand but it was so hard not to.
“Relax,” he muttered, still looking ahead. “You’re acting like I’m gonna bite.”
“Oh yeah? How do you know I won’t?” you fought back with whatever composure you had left.
Taesan turned his head slightly, eyes flicking toward you with an amused look “Y/N, your ears are red and you look like your palms are sweaty,”
Somehow, you hadn’t realized the elevator had emptied, leaving only you and Taesan.
You tried covering your ears with your hair, suddenly very aware of how you looked. “I’m not nervous,” you wanted to strangle yourself for how shaky your voice sounded. And the fact that you said that out loud.
Now fully turned around facing you, Taesan chuckled and moved his head down closer to be eye level with you. “Mm really?”
You must have been a hero in a past life, because the moment after Taesan spoke, the elevator dinged. Your heart raced, and without thinking, you dove past him, cheeks burning, as if rushing out could erase the way his gaze had lingered just a second too long.
You were so fucked. You still had feelings for Han Taesan.

With heavy steps, you made it back to your data science class the next day.
You hated showing up to class with Taesan now that you couldn’t deny you might still have feelings for him.
But maybe he felt the same way too. As you entered class, you noticed that the seat he took last time was empty. You even scanned the whole room just in case he was sitting somewhere else.
Wow skipping on the second day? Tsk
You decided to browse through other electives while you waited for class to begin, remembering that text from Anton.
Oh this one definitely looks boring you thought, looking through the linguistics course.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,”
The corner of his mouth twitched downward. “Y/N, how are you gonna be stalking me behind my back and then avoid me at the same time?”

Taesan pointed to your laptop screen which was now showing the music theory elective. “Trying to see me everywhere now?”
“I was just looking through the classes that my friend recommended” you huffed. “I’m not taking it.”
“Good. You wouldn’t like anyways”
“How do you know that?”
Taesan opened his mouth to say something but closed it quickly. “You just wouldn’t.” he scowled.
You raised an eyebrow.
Taesan narrowed his eyes. “What? You want to take it now?”
“Maybe… Yes,” you mumbled.
Perhaps you’d keep this a secret to the grave but you didn’t hate the idea of seeing Taesan more often.

This time you really were confused. “What do you mean? I’m not stalking you”
Taesan pointed to your laptop screen which was now showing the music theory elective. “Trying to see me everywhere now?”
“I was just looking through the classes that my friend recommended” you huffed. “I’m not taking it.”

You raised an eyebrow.

YOUR HANGOVER mixed with that conversation with Taesan was enough to make you want to throw up right in the center of campus.
But you held your composure as you walked to your next class.
You were such a hypocrite; the day that you swore to yourself that you'd get over Taesan just had to be the day you'd see him after a year. Maybe the universe was saying to get back together too!!
You couldn't help but zone out for the rest of the day thinking back on that one interaction with Taesan trying to analyze every little detail.

The crowd blurred around you; your thoughts were louder than the noise. You didn’t even register the solid warmth in front of you until you stumbled back.
A hand caught your wrist before you could fall. “Y/N? Haha what’s got you so lost in thought” Anton grinned.
You sighed in relief seeing your friend. The two of you were a little more than acquaintances, although it seemed like you were getting closer from how much you ran into each other. You were glad to have a friend that was comforting (but also didn’t know every detail of your life too).
“Are you taking any electives” Anton asked, as the two of you head to the dining hall, talking about each other’s days.
You shook your head. “What about you?”
“I’m taking a music theory and linguistics one. Both boring but seem to be super easy, if you still need them for your credits you should add one”
“Hmm maybe.. I do need to get my electives out of the way,”
Anton smiled. “I’ll text you later tonight about the details!”

You were finally done with your last class and you couldn’t be more relieved. Although it was just the first day back and it was nice catching up with friends, you couldn’t wait to come home and nap.
Apparently you and everyone else in your vicinity was thinking the same thing —as you headed to the elevator you noticed at least twenty people behind you.
You rushed inside as soon as the doors opened (the last thing you wanted to do right now was take the four flights of stairs).
You were able to get in the elevator luckily, but so were the people behind you. The elevator got full quickly, with everyone scrambling around trying to cram in.
You kept inching behind you to avoid as much contact with everyone but it was nearly impossible. Especially when you noticed that you had just stepped on someone’s foot at the very back of the elevator. You swiftly turned around to apologize, just to see the one face you were trying to avoid all day.
“Oh you’ve got to be kidding me,” you muttered under your breath.
Taesan glared back. “You’re following me now? and stepping on me too?”
Before you could respond, you felt someone push through you, causing you to stumble a bit forward. You hated this. Being in an elevator filled to the brim with strangers and Taesan so close to you was your personal hell. You quickly glanced around to see if there was anything you could hold on to balance your footing but there was nothing.
You wanted to look up at Taesan to signal at him to help yet you just couldn’t.
But it seemed as if he’d already read your mind; you heard him mumble something before grabbing you to switch places with him. Taesan stood in front of you keeping the distance between you two wide enough where you could still breathe yet close enough that no one else could brush against you.
Maybe he could feel your eyes burning holes through him, because he glanced back to you for a second.
"I'm not doing this to protect you or anything," Taesan said, rolling his eyes. "I'm getting off soon"
The elevator hummed softly as people continued to come in and out. You tried to focus on anything else, like the flicker of the floor numbers or the weight of your bag digging into your shoulder, but the familiar scent of Taesan’s cologne was the only thing clouding your mind.
You hated that it still got to you. That after all this time, one trace of his cologne could drag you straight back to him. You told yourself it was just a smell, that it didn’t mean anything, but from the way your breath hitched, you knew you’d just be lying to yourself again.

ITS BEEN A YEAR, and not a single day has passed without thinking of Han Taesan.
I mean, who could blame you? He was your boyfriend and everything you're not. The calm tide to your turbulent waves. Taesan, who always listened to your rants, remembered the details about you even when you had forgotten, and was by your side. Everything was perfect until you decided it was too boring. Or was it that he was unambitious? Either way, you broke up with him after a stupid fight, but he didn't bother fighting back, fighting for you.
It's been a year since that fight, and since that day, Taesan hasn't spoken to you once.

Except he was a little embarrassed about it, and didn't want to be another noisy Soundcloud rapper in the hallways like Jaehyun was. So he majored in Computer Science instead, sheepishly adding Music as a minor.
The point was, music writing was his little secret and his outlet. So now that the outlet is stressing him out, he's annoyed.
It was much easier with you; everything always was. He had journals stacked on his desk solely written about the thought you. How you smelled, or how easy it was to sleep when you were next to him. It came so easily to him. Until it didn't. And Taesan promised himself not to be annoying and write breakup songs about you, no matter how badly he wanted to.
"Have any of you seen my headphones?" Taesan called out from his room.

It came so easily to him. Until it didn't. And Taesan promised himself not to be annoying and write breakup songs about you, no matter how badly he wanted to.
"Have any of you seen my headphones?" Taesan called out from his room.
"Headphones?" Leehan and Jaehyun came into the boy's room (Leehan did, Jaehyun jumped on top of Taesan and got swatted away)
"Yeah, the black wired ones, I can't figure out this beat, and I swear I left them in the living room," Taesan pointed.
His roommates pondered for a bit before Leehan spoke up: "I think Wonbin might have them."
"Why would he have them?"
"He needed headphones for some dj set? He djs, I guess? I think it was for a party tonight —we were invited by the way, I just figured we'd all chill instead, so I didn't bring it up," Leehan rambled.
Taesan deadpanned. "Tell me you're joking."
"Right. I'll get my keys."

The music could be heard floors away, so it wasn't difficult at all when the Uber dropped you and your friends off at the entrance of the apartments. You were buzzed, which meant you greeting everybody in your presence with smiles and giggles, catching up with every girl and guy in the cramped, hot room.
"Oh my god, is that Taesan?" you half jokingly giggled to an unimpressed Yunah.
"Girl, why would he be here? You know he hated parties," Minju said, refilling your cup.
You told the girls on the way there that you were gonna take a shot every time you thought of Taesan, telling yourself you could not manage to black out the weekend before the new semester started. You had more decorum than that.
But barely half an hour in, you could barely stand up. So Yunah had given you a water bottle and a (lukewarm) iced tea in each hand and sent you to sit on the couches at the entrance, where you'd be within her eyesight.
Why am I so caught up on what he's doing anyway? I should be thinking about the guys here or just having fun with the girls right now...
Attempting to distract yourself, you tried to scroll on your phone, but not before hearing a voice a little too close to your ear: "Y/N?"
"Not having fun tonight?" your friend Anton said, shuffling next to you on the couch.
You shook your head, "Guess I wasn't really in the mood to go out tonight." You sulked.
"Really? Where's the miss social butterfly, Y/N I know" he teased, poking you.
You finally let out a laugh for the first time that night. "She's gonna make a comeback after splashing some water on her face," you smiled, rolling your eyes, getting up from your seat.

"I'll be back in like five... or ten! Just stay here!" Leehan shouted as he hopped out of the car to the apartment where Wonbin's party was.
After exactly seven minutes, Taesan sighed, turning off the hazard lights of the car "in case anyone asked questions about why we were stopped at the fire exit!" according to Leehan, and decided to just enter the party himself.
Did he have a plan? No. Was the loud music mixed with sweaty, drunk bodies going to annoy Taesan even more? Yes. Despite this, he followed the amped up sounds and huffed when he arrived at the entrance of the door.
Han Taesan didn't have a solid plan, but he had a general idea of the layout of Wonbin's apartment. And if he beelined to the makeshift dj set up, swiped the headphones, and got out, he'd be fine and home in twenty.
What he didn't expect, however, was seeing you at the front of the door as soon as he came in, your eyes half lidded and a stupid grin on your face, looking up at him.
"Taesan? Are you real this time?" you called out, and by the way you were slurring your words, Taesan knew you were gone.
He could have just walked by you; he wasn't your boyfriend anymore, and nearly a whole year had passed since the last time the two of you talked. He just needed those damn headphones, and he'd be home away from all this. But the way you leaned against the doorframe, your eyes stuck on his, Taesan couldn't move past you. His face softened, knowing that the headphones were out of question now.
"Taesan? Why aren't you saying anything?" you asked, this time a hand coming up to his forearm, your eyebrows knitting in confusion.
"Umm," Taesan was looking anywhere except at you. You always found a way to break his composure. Even after a year, no matter how hard he trained himself to hate you, to despise wanting you, you broke through his exterior.
After a moment, and a small group pushing past him, he decided standing in front of the doorway wasn't the most ideal option.
"Y/N," Taesan finally mumbled, grabbing the water bottle from your free hand, opening it.
He handed you the now-opened bottle and crouched outside the hallway with you.
"Taesan Taesan Taesan," you kept muttering, tracing little circles on his leg.
He helped you up after you managed to drink half of the water and took your hand. Without a word, he started leaving, with you following behind him.
"Hey, what are you doinggg?" You hummed as Taesan sat you down in the passenger seat of Leehan's(?) car, fastening the seat belt around you.
"Your drunk habits are still the same," Taesan flicked your forehead and shut the door to drown your whining.
Taesan sighed, falling into the driver's seat, starting the car. Was this okay? He thought to himself. We're not even dating. She can leave with whoever. I don't care.
But when he glanced back at you, your breathing finally steady as you slept, he knew that he was right.
I'm just gonna take her home and leave.

You woke up messily and completely hungover the next day, just like your roommates.
"Morning," you slid into your seat in the kitchen at 1 pm, alongside an equally groggy Moka and Minju.
While the girls and you chatted about the night before, your head ached trying to remember all the details from the party.
"Did we all go home together?"
The girls shook their heads.
"I thought Anton took you home?"
"No, you definitely Ubered back. I saw Anton later that night.”
"Wait, how did I get home?"
You cracked your knuckles proudly, "Looks like I still know my way back even when I'm wasted," you bragged.
As you headed to your bathroom to finish washing up, something felt weird. You lifted the sleeve of your pajama top to your nose.
Why does it smell like Taesan's cologne?
You slapped your face, getting the idea out of your head.
As if. You hadn't seen the guy in months, and you came home on your own last night. You were done moping around the guy, and finally ready to move on. Maybe.
No, you were definitely moving on now. It was the start of a new year, and that meant new people to meet! Taesan might even have a new girlfriend, while you were going crazy over a phantom smell of him.
You wiped the steam in the mirror after your shower with new determination.
Han Taesan, we are so done.

You were running late on your first day back.
You blame welcome week traffic, but as a junior, you should've known better than to leave ten minutes early instead of late.
Data Science... South building.. room 303... fuck that means third floor, you mumbled to yourself.
Despite your seniority at your university, the campus was huge, and to this day, you were finding out about new classrooms and food spots around town.
At 8:13 am exactly, you stood in front of your class.
Fuck. This was a smaller class, not a lecture hall. Definitely gonna be awkward entering in.
After hyping yourself up, telling yourself that this wasn't going to be embarrassing at all, you slowly opened the door. The professor, probably used to this, kept talking, albeit 20 pairs of eyes were definitely on you.
You kept your head down, scanning for empty seats in the back of the room. You found a seat in the back corner that was still empty and beelined over. The only person remotely close was the guy right next to the seat, head buried into his backpack, rummaging around for something.
"Hey! Is that seat taken?" you whisper-shouted to the boy, still neck deep into his bag. What was he looking for anyways?
"What?" he whispered back, finally looking up at you.
No Fucking Way.
Han Taesan was looking straight at you.
Not wanting to grab more attention from the already awkward situation, you darted to the empty seat, not saying a single word.
For the remainder of the class, the two of you didn't speak to each other once, despite being only inches apart, in the cramped classroom.
Until the last few minutes, when your professor decided it was important to introduce yourself to your seatmates and learn about each other. (You just thought he wanted to lie in his chair for the rest of class)
You shifted in your seat, turning to face Taesan, who at the same time, popped an airpod in.
"What?" he shrugged when you looked at him, offended. "We already know each other, there's no point."
You rolled your eyes. "Wow, so mature of you."
Taesan scoffed. "Like you're any better.. god, I should've recorded everything you were saying last night."
"What?" you squinted your eyes at the boy, "What are you talking about?" You were praying to yourself that you misheard.
"So you really thought you got home, took off your makeup, did your whole ass skincare routine, and got in your pajamas by yourself?" Taesan muttered.
"What?!" you said, a bit louder than expected, covering yourself with your arms. "You took advantage of a drunk girl Taesan"
"I put your pajamas on top of your clothes, relax. The only person getting violated was me when you kept pulling my hair and tried to dunk my face in your sink.”
Feeling a blush crawl up your ears, you turned in your seat immediately.
Okay what the fuck. So you weren't a boss after all.
"Thank you" you sheepishly let out, refusing to look Taesan in the eye again. "and sorry"
You felt the boy move closer to your side and you could practically see the smirk growing. "Huh.. sorry for what exactly? You said a lot of things to me last night, Y/N"
Class was now over, and everyone in the room seemed to be in a hurry, packing up as fast as they could to get out.
"We didn't kiss did we?" you mumbled quietly, wondering for a second if the boy even heard what you said.
Taesan looked down at you and scoffed. "Don’t even dream about it" he said as he slung his bag over his shoulder and walked out.
