          “Honestly, my love, this spot could use a few more flowers.. do you not think so?” Murmured as she peeks around the corner, looking to the male through curious blue eyes.

Hades looked up at Persephone, with his mouth wide open before he closed it and put one a small smile. “If that’s what you think, why don’t you plant some?” If it made her happy, why not?

    Seeing him smile was so rare but she managed a small one in return. "Oh-- I wanted to make sure that it was alright, with you I mean." She doesn't just want to go planting things here and there, the last thing she wants is to make him upset.

                Something doesn't feel right, but Persephone cannot put her finger on what that something is. Staring off into the distance before she sighs and leans back against a tree trunk.

In Another Time... {AU} | Hephaestus and Persephone

    It was one of her favourites, one mother often sung that reminded her to keep her beauty and self away from the dangerous men who would cut her down. Or so she would think if she were to actually listen to her mother for once. The song was not meant for others ears, albeit the deer on the other side of the lake had settled and she was sure they were listening.. to which she smiled at them whilst continuing her melody.

      About to place a small foot into the water she was startled by the voice and swiftly turned to look at him wide eyed. As gracefully as she could the female was scrambling to get up, where was mother! Was this the kind of man that she had been warned about? She might have stood up but she wasn’t going to run just yet, the female holding herself slightly turned away from him as he continued to speak.

     When his hands were held up her bright blue hues could be seen darting around them, just checking and making sure that he wasn’t trying to lure her into a trap. At his words she narrowed her brows slightly before sighing softly— he was right after all, she had brought him here. Tilting her head a little at him she cleared her throat, “Persephone.. my name is Persephone.. who are you?”

It had not been his intention to startle the fair lady and in an attempt not to appear threatening, Hephaestus continued to hold his oil-stained hands raised. The God may not be the most conversed or even remotely knowledgeable in how to speak to others, yet with her, he had to try for she had bewitched him body and soul. 

The Goddess reminded him of an animal, frightened and unsure as it approached its cage, and his heart beat most fearfully that she might turn him away without even granting him the pleasure of a name. A name was all he wished to know, after all. It was more than a word, but a sentiment that could fall from his lips like the sweetest of prayers from a devout child that has not yet met the many corrupting powers of the world, both on Mount Olympus as in the mortal world. 

Persephone. Ah, such a precious name could only belong to this divine apparition that had entrapped him so, and Hephaestus smiled despite himself, ducking his head both in greeting as respect for the rare beauty that was this girl. “Hephaestus,” he answered her, voice lowering with every syllable, for his name was not one unknown and he did not wish to taint her opinion of him. Would she still regard him with such clear blue eyes if she were to know that he was not quite whole, that he was cast off by his own mother? Rejected and tossed aside, his legacy would forever bear the consequences of a certain fall that left him half the man he could have been. —Half the man this wondrous creature deserved. “I am called Hephaestus.”

Persephone was startled easily no matter the person or thing, it had come about since her mother had kept her so guarded and such from a young age. She did not know the world outside her bubble-- yet her heart yearned for something more, something bigger and when faced with it her fears came flooding back. Mother would be beside herself if she found out that Persephone had spoken to a man! She kept her distance though, making sure that she had enough of a start to run if that were to be the case but his eyes-- his eyes were very captivating.

The smile she recieved off him was unsual, it seemed to sit crookedly but in a way that one would think of only as adorable.. When he ducked his head she almost did the same thing but his name, his name was unfamiliar to Persephone. Bright blue hues stayed locked on him and his oiled hands-- wondering what he would say next but when he repeated his name she nodded slowly.

                                    Half the man that she could make whole.

It took her a moment, revising it in her head before she attempted to say his name aloud. "Hephaestus.." Its somewhat whispered as she hesitantly moves closer, lithe fingers reaching up to touch his palms stained with oil-- a soft giggle leaving her lips, "Why are your hands so unclean?" Persephone, ever the one to care for another so easily.

So everyone is aware I will be on hiatus I am unsure how long as my laptop has decided to crash! 😭 I am so sorry to suspend rps and such and I hope to see you all once my laptop is repaired! Xx

"I think that one could argue that all of England is a bed of water, with as much rain as we’ve been having." She let out a small laugh at her own bad joke. "What are you looking for? A lake? A swimming pool? The ocean?"

....--Persephone doesn't understand that at all so she's just going to smile and nod. But the questions make her look around and then sigh, "A lake preferably.. just something to get fresh water from."

     Persephone smiled, her cheeks flushing a soft shade of pink before she took back her hand and rest it on her persons. At least he knew when to be respectful and such— at least she was lucky in that aspect, always being received rather nicely. She bows her head a little at him before she smiles, “Pray tell me your name.”

"Adem Rouvas." He responded simply, holding his place before he straightened up a little more. Adem couldn’t help but notice that she was truly beautiful. He expected nothing less of her species. "I am sorry but I can only tell what you are. I am ashamed to ask your name, as I can not rely on statues and paintings to be true to your beauty. You are of the earth, I know." Adem said a little bashfully.

    "Adem," She repeats with a soft smile and a nod, letting the name sit there for a moment before she lets her gaze fall to his face once more. Truly every goddess was beautiful but Persephone never really cared for such thoughts. "Ah, I suppose it is hard sometimes but I am of the Earth. I am Persephone, Queen of the Underworld and daughter of Demeter."
