It’s finally here! My first blog post! I am SO SO SO sorry that it has taken me so long to get to this review, but the wait is over!

So, finally, the moment that we have all been waiting for: the kickoff of this blog. Here is a little background on how I got into Kylie Cosmetics. It’s going to be a long post, but I think it will help out anyone who is trying to get into these kits.
Ever since I was a pre-teen, I have never been huge on wearing a lot of makeup. My daily look is a little bit of eyeliner, and some lipstick or lip gloss. NOTHING ELSE. Most people, like my sister, would think I am insane for wearing so little. I would only wear a lot of makeup when going out with friends, or to a party.
As I grew up, went to college, and started “adulting,” I realized that I needed to start putting in a little more effort into my appearance. Knowing nothing about makeup, I used to just go to the local convenience store and pick up whatever my friends recommended. Through the process of elimination, and with a little more experimenting, have found my favorite, and essential everyday brands: Maybelline, Revlon, Covergirl, and Kylie Jenner Cosmetics.
I have been wearing Kylie’s lip kits since October 2016, and let’s just say, a lot of my weekly paycheck goes towards this company. I first got into the lip kit craze by seeing one of my good friends from school wearing one, and I complimented her on it. She then pointed me towards the website, and I have been hooked ever since.
KYLIE COSMETICS HAUL & REVIEW
In this haul, Kylie Cosmetics was having a promotion: buy one matte lip kit, get one matte lip kit for free. When I saw this on the homepage, all I could do was scream and start scrolling through the kits that had been in my cart for months. I received five matte lip kits and three out of four singles from the KoKo Kollection. The lip kits that I received were Kristen, Candy K, Love Bite, Ginger, and Rosie, a velvet lip kit. From the KoKo Kollection, I received Gorg, Damn Gina, and Khlo$.
The first lip kit that I received was Candy K. The original shade from Kylie Cosmetics, this is my favorite matte lip kit for an everyday look, or a night out. It is a beautiful nude that goes well with everything and it compliments everyone. The most I have had to reapply this shade was two times throughout the day. This is by far my favorite matte lip kit from the cosmetics line, and I wear it every day! This is also a safe shade to purchase for first-time buyers, or for someone who isn’t sure on what they want to try first. Trust me, once you try this shade, you will want to keep buying more shades from Kylie!
The next matte lip kit that I received in this haul was Kristen. Having risen in popularity in recent months, this is a gorgeous strawberry shade, and is a true winner. I love wearing this shade for a night out because it can compliment anybody, and it lasts all night long! I have noticed that this shade also turns from a strawberry red to a dark red by the end of the night. A matte lipstick that changes colors?! AMAZING. However, this is just my experience with it. It not only changes color, it makes you the center of attention in any room. Girls, you will get those numbers with this one! Since this is one of Kylie’s newest trending shades, get it while you still can! I know I will definitely be ordering another one soon! This is a great shade to keep in your back pocket because “why not?”
The next lip kit that I received was Love Bite. This shade has been one that has been super popular since it’s release. Every time I tried to obtain this gorgeous mauve shade, it was always sold out. I FINALLY got my hands on it, and it is one of my favorites for the stage. For those of you who don’t know (which is a lot of you), I am a massive theater geek. I love performing, writing, and contributing to the creative processes of theater whenever I can. Recently, I was in Pippin at a community theater, and I used Love Bite for my lipstick on stage. I got so many compliments on this lip kit, and I was shocked at how well it lasted between singing and dancing on stage. It is a must have for the stage, as well as everyday.
Ginger and Rosie were next. Ginger was personally too dark for me. It reminded me of a pumpkin. With my skin tone, it just did not work. I only wore the shade twice before retiring it. For someone who can rock it, go for it. It just wasn’t my style.
Rosie was a velvet lip kit. I love the deep pinky rose shade of this lip kit. I love the way that the color matches with my skin tone and also matches with what I wear all the time. It is a must have color. However, I bought this shade when it first came out and the velvet formula was still being tweaked. The velvets don’t stay on as well and the smudging was a problem within the first two hours of putting it on. Like I said, the shade is amazing, the velvet is not my favorite.
From the KoKo Kollection, Gorg is a beautiful maroon color, Khlo$ is a orangey-tan color, and Damn Gina is a sparkly pink gloss. I have no bad words for this kollection. Kylie, Khloe, and the Kylie Cosmetics team did an amazing job. The mattes, Gorg and Khlo$, are perfect for a night out. I actually wore Khlo$ out this weekend. They are both worth it. Damn Gina was on of my favorites to use on top of the lip kits. The sparkles gave my lips the extra kick that they needed to be spectacular. It just got back in stock and I bought two more!! I’m terrible, but I needed to have it. It’s so worth it.
