Muffled Copy Roll going a little pink in the distance.
slowanddistorted:Â
Copy Roll was probably the only one, at that. Her presence does calm the emo weeb slightly, and he relaxes where heâd been a bit on the tense side before.
âSorryâŠâ he repeated. âUm, I wasnât really gone, or anything. I was just hiding out.â And in his hiding, had managed to make himself even more fragile than he was before. Genius, clearly. One could tell that he was copied from the highly-intelligent research robot.
Hiding out...? Copy Rollâs eyebrows furrow, and she looks rather contemplative. Had someone been bullying Rewind lately...? Is that why heâd made himself so scarce? Ooooh, sheâd get whoever it was and they wouldnât be able to function for a week!
âWas it Grime again?â she asks, âOr was it some other jerk--? Just give me a name and Iâll kick their butt!"
...Or rather, sheâd get her own butt kicked. But hey. The sentiment was there, at least, and Copy Roll is very willing to at least try. No one would bother Rewind and get away entirely scot free, and sheâd see to it!
slowanddistorted:Â
 âSorry-!â
⊠Rewind does go and cling to Copy Roll, though, and hide behind her slightly. Because heâs a weenie baby.
Figures that all it would take to quell the girlâs ire was a hug-- One thatâs returned after a moment. Tightly.
âI was so worried about you...! D-donât scare me like that again, okay...?â
She wants to ask just where Rewind had been, anyways, but Copy Roll is content just clinging to her crush-- brother-- crush-- , No, brother!-- for the moment.Â
âA-And just where have you been?!â
âWho do you think you are, Fragment?! Donât just-- Donât just vanish without warning...!â
Awkward Friends
Blues listened to Copy Roll without comment at first, deciding it would be better to let her talk and know that someone was listening to her rather than trying to talk over her - he knew he used to hate it when Dr. Light and Dr. Wily didnât listen to him, so if he could listen to somebody who he thought might be experiencing a similar issue, well then⊠why not?Â
He did notice her moving her hair and wondered why, but then shrugged it off, because it was probably his own Copy that had caused that reaction. He hadnât spent much time around Break and never planned too - although that was less because of the Copyâs intended purpose and more because of how simply obnoxious the DWN was.
âSounds like a tough choice youâre thinking about,â he said at last. âAs for me, Iâve got some things that need me to stick close to the labs for a while.â It wasnât the whole truth, but it was a part of it, and he didnât want to mention Roll around her Copy - knowing how Copies worked, that wouldnât end well.  âIn fact, I was about to go feed them. Would you like to come along? No chance of running into your brothers there, at least.â He paused, then shrugged.  âIâve been alright, I suppose. Canât complain anyway.â
Obligations, huh? Probably his kid siblings or whatever. The copy frowns, not wanting to think about that too much. After all, thinking about her original could be... Dangerous. The second she started considering herself a copy or Roll the original, the programming conflicts would begin, and then sheâd be reduced to curling up on the floor and hoping the universe would turn off.
Though... Sheâs pretty sure the Light twins can feed themselves. What exactly is he talking about? Curiosity has piqued the young girlâs interest, and her wariness of the DLN seems to have faded for the most part. Heâs offering her time away from the fortress, which is exactly what she needs since Rave isnât around at the moment-- Hence her coming out here.
âYeah, kinda... I mean, I know what I want to do. Itâs just-- The consequences that come with it are something I gotta consider, too... â She replies, âBut yeah. Sure. Iâll tag along... If you donât mind having me around, that is.â
After all, sheâs a copy of Bluesâ precious baby sister. She knows that could be incredibly off-putting for him, and besides-- Heâs probably just trying to be nice. He doesnât actually want her there.
âBut... Thatâs good. Glad to hear youâve been okay.â
Gosh, this is awkward.
â„ sisters
âHeh- donât worry about that, hon. Iâm not taking that kind of risk; I wouldnât trust a member of the âSpears as far as their puny little brains can think!âÂ
Rave, like any sane robot, despised the Emerald Spears; they were unfocused and short-sighted, not to mention wasted their explosives- and there was of course the fact that their entire reason for existing was robophobia. Really- Robot Masters had exited for all of less than a decade, and yet they found it necessary to rally against them less than a few months after theyâd been invented? Heck, it had been less than a year before Robot Masters had even been widespread technology. What a bunch of whiny cowards!
That said, Rave didnât waste too much thought on them. They kept cropping up like weeds, but tearing them out again was never difficult. It wasnât like humans were hard to kill, after all- oh, but then again, killing was wrong! Bleh. Yeah, it could be unnecessary, but at this point wasnât it better to just kill the people who kept causing that kind of huge trouble? Well- then again, she was currently living under the roof of the most wanted man in the world, so.
âSounds great to me! Thatâs my girl!â she said, grinning. âOf course, thereâs always Metal Man; but Iâm sure we can find an easy way to get him to stop watching the old man like a hawk. Heâs not as lazy as his ~daddy~ is.â Rave had never really considered the old man any kind of potential father figure. He created her- and that was about it. âHm. I could somehow try and get him out of the fortress and then ditch him somewhere, under the guise of trying to ~make friends~ with somebody outside my own line. Problem is making sure he stays outâŠâ
Good- cutest little sister ever! However, when Copy Roll brought up Rewind and Grime, Rave paused for a moment. She didnât much like thinking about the whole situation between the two- Grime was such a disgusting, disgusting person, and it was beyond inexcusable. Rewind could be annoying, but he didnât deserve that kind of treatmentâŠ
âSure, we can come back when we want to. Iâm sure the rest of our brothers will miss us more than we miss them.â She smirked- she often said stuff like that to tease their brothers, not that she actually believed it. Their line was utterly heartless at best. âAs for Grime⊠we could always just kill him. Wouldnât be hard- just stick a Hyper Bomb next to his head while heâs sleeping and boom- no more Copy Oil!â
It would probably be the first time somebody actually got murdered in this fortress, but hey- it was a long time coming, really. It was a shock that Blaze hadnât burned the abusive son of a gun to death way earlier, honestly. Then again, Grime was pretty good at avoiding their hateful brotherâs fiery wrath.
âOkay, good. Thatâs fine, then! I could try and find a few of the more valuable ones for you if you want? I could say that Iâm cleaning or something and go through them while heâs not paying attention... Iâm not sure if itâd work, but...â
She shrugs, not wanting to think about that too much. It was Raveâs decision, and if she wanted her little sister to try, she would. If not, oh well! Sheâd be taking blueprints from the most wanted man in the world, and no matter what they were theyâd likely fetch a pretty penny. Not a big deal either way.
The approval causes the younger copyâs cheeks to pink slightly, but she smiles. She then turns her thoughts to the guard rabbit, tapping her chin in thought. âWe could block his teleport signal and communcations somehow? Since even if you get him hopelessly lost, he can just boo-wip right back and ruin everything in like, not even ten seconds, or worse he could tell the doctor! Weâd probably have to practice it on ourselves first to make sure we get it right, but itâs a pretty viable option. If the old manâs busy with me, itâs unlikely heâll be paying attention... But Metalâs his favourite and all so you still canât be too careful...â
She nods approval at being allowed to come visit-- Rewind deserved to have someone give him attention that wasnât being beaten up or belittled, and people willing to do that were few and far between. The only person sheâd seen treat him like a friend was Shadow Man, but until recently the stupid ninja had ditched everyone entirely and left him all alone! Jerk.
Killing Grime, however... Is something Copy Roll isnât so sure sheâs comfortable with the thought of. Itâd be nice to be rid of him, yes, and Rewind would be safe... But... Murer? Of any of their brothers he definitely deserves it the most, sheâs not about to deny that, but... It feels like too much. Why not just beat him up so badly heâll never be able to be properly repaired?
â...If you want to,â She mumbles uncertainly. Would Rave reconsider if she spoke up against killing their brother? The last thing she wants is her older sisterâs disapproval... Then Rave might not like her anymore, and leave her behind!
Awkward Friends
The vitriol that was shot his way made Blues pause in his tracks, but only for a moment. The sort-of apology that came afterward, however, encouraged him to approach the rest of the way and offer Copy Roll a shrug as his first response. Â âNo offense taken. Heâs meant to get mixed up with me, after all.â Not particularly eager to talk about his Copy, however, Blues watched the blonde for a moment before speaking again.
âHow are you doing, anyway? You seemed worried about something, so I thought Iâd see if you needed anything.â She may have been a Wilybot, but then⊠Wily had helped in his design, too. If she wondered why he would bother, he could probably use that as a reason.Â
He wasnât sure what sheâd think if he gave the real reason, which was that she had looked sad and he didnât like seeing anyone look that sad.
Oh. Well, at least Blues didnât seem too upset about the mix-up-- Or that he was speaking to a copy of his little sister. For a family as willing to be buddy-buddy with the DWNs as the Lights, a good chunk of them seemed to make an exception for the copy robots. Then again, Blues had actually spent some time around them before getting shoved in the copy machine himself. And with how estranged heâd initially been from his family, him having very different views made sense.
The question as to how sheâs doing catches the copy off guard, and it would be a few moments before sheâd answer. Not many of the DWNs except Rave and Air Man (whatever he called himself-- Copy Roll had never bothered to find out) seemed to take interest in her well-being. Her twin did, yes, but it was more out of obligation and the twin programming itself; Knowing him, if he ever had the programming removed, he wouldnât hesitate to blow her head off and call it a âmercy killâ.Â
âI canât complain, I guess,â she replies slowly, still sounding a bit wary of the DLN before her. She pulled her hair back over her shoulders, increasing its distance from Bluesâ hands. While he was no Break, it was better to be safe than sorry. âI mean, constant migraines suck and half the people Iâm stuck hanging around with all the time are borderline nuts... Or more interested in playing really awful pranks on you or being gross pieces of abusive garbage. But itâs been quiet-ish lately, so...â
The second half of Bluesâ words caused Copy Roll to blink again, and she debates on answering the question. Well... Heâs being nice to her. She might as well. âItâs not so much worry as debating over whether something would be beneficial or bad down the road. But more importantly, what are you even doing here? Shouldnât you be halfway across the world playing unspoken hero rather than hanging around so close to Light Labs? And, uh... Howâve you been?â
Awkward Friends
Speaking of goings-on in the park, that looked like Roll getting up from the swingset. Except Roll was back at the labs right now, and the bangs on the tiny blonde were the sort that his sister hadnât sported for years now. Which meant the little blonde in the park could only be one person: Rollâs Copy.Â
Despite the trouble they caused, Blues didnât really have many problems with any of the Wilybots - with the odd exception here and there, such as Forte or Copy Fire, the latter of which he was not going to think about right now - and so it was only a momentâs consideration that led to him jumping over them fence and trotting in her direction.
Of all the Copies he could remember during his own stint as Break Man (before his copy stole the name, with the same lack of shame he did everything else), Copy Roll had been among the few that really caught his attention. This wasnât just because of the fact that she looked like the sibling he had nearly killed, but also (and much more) because she had almost the opposite of the own problem he had been having at the time. Because of that, he felt a strange sort of kinship with her.
He had never acted on it, aside from trying to be polite to her where he could, but maybe⊠maybe he could help her now?
The whistling Copy Roll had registered as general background noise suddenly died off, which caught her attention. She frowned, looking around curiously in an attempt to spot what had maybe caused it to stop... Only to notice a certain someone coming her way.
The same someone who once nailed her hair to a table after one of her migraines. The same someone who had great fun in annoying all of them (her especially!) or doing incredibly stupid stunts she ended up cleaning up after-- âFor the vineâ, he always said with that stupid smug grin on his face... The one copy that had been entirely unnecessary, but for whatever reason, had been brought into existence: Copy Proto Man.Â
The frown deepens into an outright snarl, Copy Roll almost looking defensive now as she takes a step back. What did he want now? Sheâd left to escape him and their siblings, whyâd he have to follow?! âWhat are you doing here, Break?! I told you to go away and leave me alone!â
...Wait, no. Thatâs... Thatâs not Break. For one, her âbrotherâ had gotten a haircut and ditched the pompadour long ago. Heâd switched to aviator shades, too, and generally carried himself differently.
Well, thatâs embarrassing.Â
â...Youâre the real deal, arenât you? Whoops... My mistake.â
About as close to an apology as the copy would get for now. Hereâs hoping Blues wouldnât press it.
Awkward Friends
Blues may have been more or less staying at Light Labs now - at least until heâd managed to repair things with his family a little more - but he couldnât curb his wanderlust entirely. Besides, he had kittens to feed at his secret place, and that meant frequently going out to check on them. This was what he was doing now, and while it was a little awkward to go anywhere out of armor - he just wasnât used to walking around in civilian mode - it did mean he was less bothered when he chose to walk somewhere instead of teleporting.
Besides, today was a nice day, and the walking route took him past the park. It was always nice to be around parks - even when there was nothing happening in themâŠ. there was usually something happening in them. Small things and large things, and people and small animals simply living their lives. It was nice to see things like that, especially when he so regularly saw the darker sides of humanity and the parts of the world where there was more suffering than anything else.
So if his steps slowed a little while he walked, and if he started whistling and glancing into the park every so often, well⊠that was just because he didnât want to pass this area too soon. Certainly not before he took note of what was going on in the park.
The copy robot, meanwhile, had just wanted to escape the hectic Wily Fortress for a while. She had a lot to think about, having agreed to leave the fortress with her older sister, though... The thought of cutting her twin connection with Copy Rock was still something she wasnât sure about. After all, itâs not like they were dragging him along to remove the twin programming... Once her serial number was changed, heâd be constantly pinging for a twin who just didnât exist anymore, and it might really mess him up.
Nemo was borderline nuts, but he was still her twin; A small part of her didnât want to put him through such pain. On the other hand, her older sister would likely want exactly that. Sheâd probably call it getting what was coming to him for being so awful or something like that. Would it be better to go along with what her sister wanted? How would it affect everyone theyâd be leaving behind? Most of the copies she didnât care about, but Rewind... Heâd have so much more to put up with with no one to protect him from Grime, and if Nemo decided to lash out to cope...
Gosh, she didnât want to think about him right now. Instead, the little robot shifted in her seat on the swings, and eventually got up. Swinging had gotten boring, and it was such a pretty day out... It would be nice to take a walk aroud before heading back!
Such a walk would soon be interrupted by a certain DLN, but Copy Roll paid no attention to the faint sounds of whistling in the background growing louder...
â„ sisters
Raveâs glad her suggestionâs being considered- not that she had much doubt, if any, that it would be. Again- their line included men like Blaze, who was sociopathy personified, and Grime, the most abusive piece of garbage the world would ever see. Even the ânicestâ of them- note the quotations- were more hassle than was worth staying for. Fragment was a freaking brat, Rewind was clingy and annoyingâŠ
âOf course, sweetie! I havenât had much luck, mind- there arenât a ton of places looking to hire robots they havenât rented or commissioned. If all else fails I couuuld screw over the old man and sell some of the blueprints heâs got on the black market⊠he might be a moron but Iâm sure itâs worth a bundle.â And considering how rarely Dr. Wily put anything awayâŠ
âDonât you worry about it, babygirl- Iâll get everything figured out. Iâm sure I can figure out something for you to do, too. Wonât want you to get bored while Iâm out, or feel unimportant!â Housekeeper was definitely not among them, that was for sure- ooh! âWhat if we got you studying robotics? At least one of us should be able to do emergency repairs or troubleshooting, just in case- especially with lunatics like the Emerald Spears aroundâŠ
But again, totally up to you! Whether or not we even go through with this is your choice- because Iâm not leaving without you. After all, somebody has to appreciate a little princess like you!â Rave booped her sister on the nose and cuddled her, grinning.
Rave had the ideas in mind already- if Copy Roll did want to try being a little robo-roboticist, she could design her own blueprints for how she wanted her new self to look, rather than waiting for whatever clown to do them. Most industry work sounded a little lame, but the mining work that they got her original to do sometimes looked like fun⊠Heh! Imagine if they somehow wound up on the job together! His face would be priceless.
âIf you give the okay, itâll take a few weeks before we can actually ditch. Weâd need to find everything first- apartment, work⊠actually, I might need to go blueprint-hunting asap to get that initial boost of money. And if thereâs anything youâre worried about- anything at all- we can talk it out. Sound good?â
âOh... That could work, as long as youâre super careful about who you give the blueprints to.â Copy Roll muses, âItâd be really bad for everyone if psychos like the Spears were secretly buying designs for weapons of mass destruction on the black market... Especially Wily-designed ones. And they probably would if they got the chance, the jerks.â
She could care less about anyone else getting their hands on her dadâs -- no, definitely not! -- Masterâs... Ew, that was still gross sounding... Creatorâs work, especially if heâd gone and shelved said design, but even the little copy has standards. The Emerald Spears were a terrible organization, with their whole ârobots are evilâ schtick and being willing to sacrifice even humans in their dumb quest to quell the ârobotâ menace. Copy Roll might live in the same fortress as Blaze Wily, but the Spears made him look like a fluffy puppy; Blaze might be sociopathy given robotic form, but he was still just one man-- The Spears were a group of lunatics working together towards the same goal.
âIt really would be good if one of us could do repairs... I bet there are common repair centers out there, but waiting hours for something that could be fixed in about half of one for a fraction of the price just sounds stupid. Oh-- I could ask Flash Man to teach me the basics? Oooh, or better-- Dr. Wily himself! That way you have time to get into his files and get the really good ones. I bet he wouldnât say no... With how many fights there are around here, having someone else able to do repairs would be a blessing, I bet--Â Too bad I wouldnât be sticking around long for him to benefit!â
Sheâs excited now-- Not only would she be learning something to set herself apart from the original Roll (and make her better, in fact!), Copy Roll was helping her sister with their plans already by providing a distraction to the old man! All theyâd need to do is get Metal Man out of the way... For someone so scared of dogs, the silver haired DWN certainly acted like one when he wasnât busy being a rabbit-- His loyalty and love for his father was probably the strongest out of everyoneâs.
The boop on the nose makes Copy Roll giggle, and she snuggles into her sister with a content sigh. Rave was literally the best big sister in the entire universe!
âIf we do go away...â Copy Rollâs excitement fades as she realizes something, â...Can we do something about Grime, first? Heâs always so awful to Rewind and everyone, and I hate it!! Iâm not saying we should take Rewind with us, because that would suck-- Being girls only is better, and I could visit him whenever I want, right? I just... Donât wanna walk away from that without doing something to help him before Iâm not around anymore. No one else will...â
â„ sisters
Rave did end up picking her up again; mostly to snuggle her. The elder sister sat down with her on top of the bed and balanced the precious baby girl on her lap.
âI think,â she began, âwe should ditch this place. Our brothers are morons and Dr. Wilyâs forgotten about us entirely- and I know youâre not safe when Iâm not around. So Iâve been looking up places a few states over where we can live- just the two of us.
I can find you somebody to give you some physical mods to make you look less like you-know-who; and fix your programming. The only problem is finding someone reliable that I wonât have to blow to smithereens for screwing up. Thereâs your glitch, but Iâve also been thinking we should change our designation numbers as well. You need the switch and I might need to get an actual job. âŠAnd whoever I find can cut the twin link, but thatâs up to you.â
Rave wouldâve definitely preferred that to be gone, but she knew it wasnât her decision.
âWe can just head out and live life on our terms the way the humans do. And if any of the boys start whining, they can kiss it. Howâs that sound?â
Excellent. The younger DWN leans in, resting her head against her sisterâs shoulders in content as she gets comfortable in her new perch. Sheâs quiet while Rave details her plans, honestly a little surprised at how much detail had gone into it already-- How long had she been working on this?
Leaving honestly sounds like a wonderful idea and sheâd like nothing more tho be free of the total mess that was their line, but... Copy Roll canât help but worry about that a little. If she left, whoâd protect Rewind from Grime? Even without the older, abusive copy being in the picture... Would he be lonely if she left? Would he miss her? Or would he just not care? Sheâd ask if he could come with them too, but Rave probably... Wouldnât want him along.Â
Sheâs not even going to think about her twin-- She knows Raveâs position on that. If she leaves, Nemo is not coming. Heck, sheâs even offered to have someone get rid of the bond that tied them together! Copy Roll can see why. She loves her twin brother, but he can be kind of... Scary, with his views of the world. If he suddenly decided to wipe out a bunch of the copy line, them included, her signal would be like a flashing neon light as to where she was. Even without Raveâs hatred, him being able to locate them at any time would annoying at best, and outright dangerous at worst.
Not having a twin would make her one step removed from Roll... Combined with a fixed glitch, a new designation number, a new name and a new look, only having an older sister would really make her her own robot, right?Â
Wait-- wouldnât that hurt? Twin bonds in robots were incredibly strong, to the point that Copy Rollâs heard that any robots whoâd had their link severed utterly destroyed their ability to function. While theyâd likely be able to work around her own half by giving her that new designation number, her brother would be suffering forever... She knows Rave doesnât care -- and if she knew this would probably push for it -- yet the blonde canât help but shy away from the thought of really going through of it. For now, at least.
âThat all does sound really good. Iâd really like that,â she murmurs thoughtfully, sitting up straight now that sheâs talking. âBut... Um... Would you really be okay with that? The whole job thing, I mean. I donât want to be a burden, and living in our own place could be really expensive...â
And what if Rave got bored of her some day, or didnât like her anymore now that the need to protect and baby her little sister wasnât as dire...?
â„ sisters
Aww! Poor girl. Out of all their linemates to have an awful glitch, Rave had the most sympathy for Copy Rollâs. Not just because it was next to impossible to feel bad for the boys, considering all of them ranged from heartless morons to sadistic monsters to abusive garbage; but because it wasnât like Copy Roll had any outlet for her pain. She wasnât weaponized!
That, and with the glitch she had and being activated into a family like this, growing the confidence she currently had⊠hadnât exactly been easy. And even then, Rave knew that that experience was nothing compared to what her sister was going through. She needed to track down that old doctor- black market roboticists didnât make themselves easy to findâŠ
Heâd probably been chased out of his current hideaway, if not arrested. Or he died of old age, maybe. Wouldnât have surprised her- the main reason he was so cooperative with her was because he was too old to care anymore (and heck, he made Dr. Wily look like spring chicken in comparison!). The others sheâd found were transphobic, or unreliable, or incompetent, or some combination of the above. Maybe if she got desperate enough she could try forcing good olâ Cossack, or even Dr. Light, to do something for her.
âSorry I couldnât be here to help you, angel- but I did want to run something by you,â Rave said. Since Copy Roll hadnât decided on a civilian name for herself yet, Raveâs solution was to just call her every cute younger sibling petname in the book. âItâs pretty important- and I think itâll help you with that awful glitch of yours, if youâre okay with it. I also got you a few dresses and shirts I think youâll like! I went out raiding while I was out- they donât even try to stop me anymore.â
She set her sister down and lead her back towards her room; all the while keeping an eye out for any unwanted siblings. Some of them liked to antagonize at the worst times, and at this point Rave had a strong need to protect her sister from their unruly brothers. That disgusting little rat of a copied hero, especially⊠he just had to be the one Copy Roll was close to, too. Ugh.
âSo- what do you wanna hear first, pumpkin? Clothes or plans?â
Something that would help her? Copy Roll blinked once she was set down, tilting her head as she thought that over. How exactly was that glitch fixable without going to the doctor, though? Sure, heâd probably fix it once he realized how much of a difficult task it was for one of his robots to even function properly, but... Then sheâd embrace being Rollâs copy... And she didnât want that at all!
But... No. She shouldnât be thinking about that or else itâll start up again. Instead, she focuses on her sisterâs next words as she follows along obediently, half-wishing she could still be carried. Though... Copy Roll isnât about to ask for too much, especially not if Rave had just gone out of her way for her sake...
âOh, um... Thank you! You didnât have to go to the trouble just for me, but I appreciate it...â
Better get the riskier one out of the way, though.
âUm... I want to hear the plans first. What did you have in mind...?â
â„ sisters
Rave had been out for quite a while; a little mission she had in mind, and had been contemplating for a long time. She hadnât told her brothers yet- nor her baby sister, since it was still in the planning stages. Apartments in civilization were pricey! Not to mention there werenât a ton of workplaces willing to accept wayward robots as employees⊠And her designation number certainly wouldnât help matters if these potential bosses knew it. She might have to change thatâŠ
Anyway! More important things. Sheâd gone on a bit of a raid; whatever she couldnât buy yet, sheâd happily steal, and steal she did. Mostly a handful of things for herself, but a few things for her baby sister as well. When she teleported in she dumped her bags on the foot of her bed and left the bedroom, locking it behind her- when she lived with brothers as chaotic and destructive as the Copy Line, sheâd better.
She went on to locate her baby sister, catching her just outside her room. She grinned widely and came up from behind, grabbing up the little girl, tossing her up in the air and catching her again- âThere you are, sweetiepie!â she exclaimed as she did. âAnd whatâs my adorable lilâ sis doing today?â
Today hadnât been a very good day for the youngest of the Copy Line. What few attempts sheâd actually made to clean up around a messy fortress had led to another one of her episodes-- Why bother, if the real Roll would be brought over eventually and fix everything again thanks to Forte? Sheâd been copied for one thing and one thing only (outside of Dr. Wily having a full set of the first line, maybe) and she couldnât even do that.Â
...Itâs not like she wanted to, anyways! Sheâs not Roll (nor does she want to be!), the place had just been getting really gross, and itâs not like anyone else was going to lift a finger...
Too bad that line of thought hadnât stopped the copy from thinking about all those times Forte had brought her original over... Perhaps if sheâd tried harder to ignore and dismiss the thoughts when theyâd begun to surface, the resulting headache would have been avoidable...
Of course, there was one way to fix all her troubles and make herself âusefulâ in one go... But that would upset the only person in this fortress who actually seemed to care at all: her beloved older sister.
Speaking of Rave, sheâd been so busy lately... Had she finally lost interest too? Copy Roll hoped not. With how little her twin was around, having no one to play with got painfully lonely... Though with how pathetic the younger copy found herself, she wouldnât be surprised if that wasnât the case.
Having recovered from her conflicting programming and the resulting headache enough to leave the quiet, dark lab sheâd found to wait it out in, the blonde now planned to hide out in her bedroom and nap to pass the time-- What else was there to do? Air Man was nice to her, yeah, and would probably spend time with her if she asked for it but Copy Roll felt weird about bothering the hand-built DWNs too much...
She wass about to enter her room and flop onto her bed when suddenly the copy was grabbed from behind, causing a startled, violent âWhat the heck are you doing--â to escape her lips until the perpetrator made themselves known: Rave! Copy Rollâs tone shifts immediately, a smile twitching at her lips as she lets out a bubbly giggle and hugs her sister tightly.Â
âHey! Heh... Sorry! You startled me-- Iâd been looking for you all day, but I couldnât find you! Were you out?â Copy Roll laughs softly, only to go momentarily quiet at the question. âUm... Not much, really. I... It happened again.â
She hated worrying Rave, but Copy Roll knew her sister was aware of the glitch sheâd been booted up with-- All of their copy linemates were flawed in some way or another, though Rave had had the luck of the draw: Her glitch didnât affect anything that would cripple her ability to function...
âIâm okay now, though!â Copy Roll presses on quickly, âWhere were you? Um... If Iâm allowed asking?â
Of course she was, but dealing with the siblings they had had a tendency to leave the younger ones... A bit cautious when it came to interacting with each other-- Even if there was nothing to worry about.
â«âȘ Youâre just so annoying! God, just so annoying! Acting high and mighty around me like youâre the queen! Ready, aim and fire Gong that never tires Rioting tonight, itâs a war but not a fist fight! â«âȘ
