/HUGS BACK/ HI Yee I'm good! Trying to catch up a bit but feel free to fill me in on major changes shshsh how're you?
I’m good!!
We’ve basically each moved to multimuse blogs (I started the trend because I lost the email for Toad, my new multimuse for the mm indieverse is @helrobotics) and aside from that we’ve been basically making bit-by-bit adjustments to worldbuilding and plotlines, as well as picking up whoever muse-wise
I have tags for stuff so feel free to rummage through the * planning tag in particular!

The “””older””” Cossack siblings are large children with drinking permits
My newest headcanon that no one is allowed to disagree with me on is that Flame Man is a mama's boy.
“Damn right.”
Kibby reblogged a thing about bodyswap episodes and Ruby Spears Mega Man continues to be king by having Mega Man and Snake Man retain their respective voices when they change bodies
Less impressive in this case considering they’re voiced by the same dude anyway but still
Comrade Mercury
By the way also for Skull Man this song is very him when you look at the lyric translation
Don Cossack regiment is marching through a steppe A Cossack lowered his head in despair Oh, he was missing his home The rein was dropped onto the horse's mane (x2) Oh, his fleece hat was messy Home sickness is killing him Ah! He looks blank into the steppe Even though there is nothing to see (x2) The Cossack shook his head And say sadly to his comrades "Oh! My heart bleeds" "How I wish to be at home now" (x2) Flying past the road Rid of the feeling of depression Ah! Riding the horse at full speed Whistling with his sword high in the charge! (x2) The glorious army is in the steppe hand All walking and singing like the nightingale Kovyl'na, my homeland Take a bow from the red Cossack! (x3)
Actually while we’re here let me talk about stuff I developed with Boo concerning Skull Man
- When he was first brought online, Metal had been threatening Mikhail at the time. As such, Skull Man’s first action was to sever Metal’s hand and get him to piss off. - This interrupted Skull Man’s initial personality calibration and caused some damage to his development right off the bat. His emotional range to start with was limited, and while this would be a problem that went away on its own as his calibration software would go through more cleanly at next opportunity, it didn’t change the fact that his first action in his life was an act of violence. - This would cause him a lot of problems later in the aftermath of MM4, when Russian authorities are “working with” (read: starting shit with) Mikhail over what to do about this obvious weapon. That first interaction with the world, alongside being separated from the Cossack family and being told by a bunch of strangers he wasn’t allowed to fight that he was a monster, a threat, something to be either disposed of or made use of, dropped Skull Man headfirst into insecurity hell. - He was forced to work for the Russian military for at least a year, but Skull Man remained with the military for a year extra after that since he was still convinced he wasn’t worthy of anything better. Though mistreated by his superiors, Skull Man finds a certain comfort in combat: that being that he actually knows what to do in a fight, whereas in every other circumstance he’s felt lost, confused, and scared. - He develops out of this insecurity over time but that’s something that requires discussion; what he does after military work is also something that requires deciding.
I let my multimuse be open for people to follow but I see a R/iverdale RP blog follow me and I’m just No
My only rp threads I have that I’d say should stay canon are possibly the ones that involve Kalinka playing with some of the DWNs during her kidnapping.
Which reminds me. Did we ever really flesh out which DWNs are present during the kidnapping? Or are we not going with some of them staying behind to be repurposed like in the comic?
Also how long is her kidnapping? I know it’d have to be a while since Dr. Cossack has to build Skull, and all the stages and Wily castle have to be set up, but are we talking weeks or over a month?
Oh, no, we’re tossing having any of the MM2 or MM3 lines repurposed. MM5 is up in the air, but the DWNs and the DLWNs are all still with Wily.
As for how long MM4 takes, that’s free to establish. I’d not put it beyond four weeks, personally?
In regards to which DWNs are present for MM4, so far the only one I can think of who’s established to me is Metal, as he facilitates the plot and enables it to happen in the first place. I recall Heat being discussed between you two, but admittedly I’m not sure what he does other than hang out with Kalinka. Redbud and I have also discussed Shadow being assigned to guard her. Honorable mention to Blues, who is the one to save her and bring her out at the end of the fight with Dr. Cossack.
In short, we need to organize who’s there and when.
In regards to duration, four weeks is fine by me, I can see it lasting longer than a month personally, but I also know Siberia is cold and Dr. Wily has to sit there for the duration of this plot, so he probably wants to get this overwith.
I’d like to backpedal as to the “assigned to guard her” thing, because I was under the impression that that was being handled on the basis of one of various DWNs being on shift to do so at any given time, and that’s how Heat could get away with hanging out with Kalinka without most of his brothers knowing until after the fact. Is that okay?
For Kibby’s fic a year back, she and I had Heat contribute to Proto busting Kalinka out of prison, but for the RP group I think that part is up in the air. I actually think it might be better in our RP group context to scale that back to just... Heat being on shift at the time, and he just. Lets Blues rescue her, without raising the alarms. But other than that, Heat is here for himself and Kalinka to find things that develop Mikhail and Albert’s characters (the thing where they find the tape of their college days).
In canon, from what Boo showed me, RMs can be built within a month; Skull was definitely thus the last one Rock fought, and was probably only online for a few hours tops before that happened. He’s a baby.

Semi-important but not crucial stuff: we know on a meta level what a “line” of robot masters is. It boils down to being a set of robot masters that Rock has to fight against for the plot. The general size of them is eight, but they can be of smaller sizes, and in the sole case of the Copy Line, larger sizes. We refer to them as the first line, third line, ninth line, things like that to refer to a group of robot masters Rock fights against from a particular game.
My question though, is do we apply this in-universe, and how? I know lines still exist, we’ve been referring to them as such and they’re still useful, but do we separate the meta use of the term line from the in-universe use? For example it doesn’t make much sense to me to have the robot masters from MM6 be called the sixth liners in-universe. Not only is there a ton of robot masters in the universe already, but the sixth line is entirely composed of robot masters from completely separate creators and even countries, the only reason they’re lumped together is because they all were mind-controlled by Dr. Wily. It’s useful to refer to them as sixth liners when talking about them out of character, but I don’t see the term having much use in-universe.
We could also try to define what a line is, but I think in-universe it just boils down to “set of robot masters as determined by a creator or some other party.”
I can imagine in-universe that the only person who actually regards every game’s “line” as distinctive lines regardless of origin, to be Dr. Wily himself. Because he’s the one behind everything, he feels the freedom to define them how he wants; the only “lines” that have actual basis for anyone else would be the lines that actually have enough in common to be called lines, ie; the First Line, the Copy Line, etc.
Otherwise, for something like the sixth line, it’s sort of debatable and it depends on how much public sway an individual person thinks Dr. Wily has. Obviously, for the creators (and the RMs themselves) of MM6, they don’t see themselves as a line, because while they do get along (if your Organ Trail runs are any indication) they aren’t actually, like, family, nor are they even from the same damn countries. But for an outsider who only knows about them from Dr. Wily trying to use them to conquer the planet again, sure, they might call the eight of them “the Sixth Line”.
Basically, outside of universally-agreed lines, I imagine it’s debatable for each set.
The Cossacks in a single vine
By the way this is Dr. Wily’s theme song in the Western AU
A concept I am placing here that I sent to Boo a while back
Thoughts?
