just some bloodymary (+ rocky) things i'm thinking about:

simon being fiercely protective over the eden seed and forbids grace and rocky from ever touching it at first, only to allow them to study it once he starts getting comfortable in their presence. i just love the image of rocky's tiny little rock hands cradling the talisman like its the most precious thing in the universe. rocky probably thinks its an egg and congratulates simon on being a parent.

simon wearing grace's "i had potential" shirt. that's it. but also because simon has no other clothes so he has to borrow grace's.

having to explain swear words to rocky because simon has a mouth of a sailor. rocky voice: "what fuck word mean, question?" and grace is horrified.

simon struggling with phantom limb syndrome after losing his arm, so rocky builds him a new one.

grace and simon bonding over being forced against their wills into their missions. grace being drugged, and simon being welded into the submarine.

simon and grace meeting rocky's mate adrian, and adrian immediately asking if they're together and then being upset when told no. adrian being grace and simon's biggest supporter.

grace getting simon to laugh at one of his stupid jokes. it's a small laugh, just a small exhale and a slight smile, but its a laugh nonetheless and a lighthearted "shut up, man". grace takes it as a win.

simon having ptsd/trauma surrounding eyes and being watched (due to the eel), so he struggles maintaining eye contact with grace and shifts upon being stared at for long. but he is able to look at rocky because the little guy doesn't have typical eyes or even a face.

grace and simon sleeping next to one another out of that unspoken fear of waking up alone. to the point where they just share one bed.

simon having a panic attack about whether or not grace is real and it's just a hallucination brought about by the eel and he's actually still in the lung. grace taking simon's hand and placing it against his face so simon can feel that he's real. grace decides on "skittles" as their grounding safe word because why would a giant space eel know about that. simon thinks its stupid at first, but does appreciate it when he needs it.

Iron Lung (2026) movie spoilers and thoughts🩸 That spooky scene where the Convict is in the crawlspace but hears footsteps up above / sees shadow movement back at the hatch opening, plus the focus on the fallen tape in the scene where he goes back up– they both got me thinking what if someone was trying to prevent him from irradiating himself even worse, even quicker.

(I know we have a scene later on where Convict watches in anger as the tape slowly peels away but in this crawlspace scene at least, I think it's possible/just a fun what-if). It could be his future self, but another candidate could also be the old SM-13 Guy Who Told [Him] to Cross the Wires taking pity on his poor bastard of a brother.
