The comments on this video are absolutely fucking disgusting, a TRANS man came onto tiktok wanting to know why transmen are often excluded from queer spaces.
Clearly he is upset that he isnt invited to a lot of spaces because he passes as a cis man, of course I make the dumb mistake of opening the comments.
ALL the top comments are straight up fucking rude and disgusting towards him and transmen in general. Heres a few I wanted to share
Like im sick and tired of seeing straight/cis women claiming to be allies of the queer community WHEN THIS IS HOW THEY TREAT TRANSMEN
Like if you look at the original video this dude looks so sad that he isnt invited to any spaces or seen as queer because he 'passes' as a man and its absolutely disgusting how the women were acting in his comment section.
Transmen deserve to be included in queer spaces <3
I was walking in circles in the kitchen thinking about the pretty woman mask and this is my interpretation:
The pretty woman mask is a way to fulfill a role be doesn't get to experience often. He usually is the husband, the wife, the dog and the child. In the way these have been associated with in history. He provides like a husband to his family, cooks like a wife, protects the house like the dog and acts (and really is) the child, the youngest brother. These have been put onto him all his life. As the youngest and biggest, he's the best fit for all of these. Maybe the pretty woman mask is a simple pleasure, where he doesn't need to chase anyone with the chainsaw nor fill the roles of his dysfunctional family, where he gets to enjoy himself for a moment. This is also because he puts it on for dinner. He gets dressed up and ready for dinner where the victim is already secure and (usually) he doesn't need to chase them, as the grandpa does the killing. He's forced into a masculine role and the pretty woman mask is a subtle way of rebellion against this. Bubba can choose how to present himself with it and not how his family needs him to be.
when i add ........... to the end of my sentence im leaving room for curiosity. i'm encouraging you to get comfortable with the unknown.......
And what if I said nonbinary people or anyone who goes by anything but she/her or he/him face a specific and unavoidable amount of transphobia online that binary trans people or people who use binary pronouns don't. Would the trans community kill me? Would the exorsexists get a little mad?
It's okay I don't listen to msi that much anymore XD
(Also I'm too lazy to change the songs in my strawpage)
Nubbins x Bubba 👀👀👀
Yeah I'll kick the hornets nest: you should not be making egg jokes about strangers, especially to their face. These kinds of jokes are potentially damaging to closeted trans people, because you don't know someone's situation. Maybe they already know they're trans, but are in an unsafe situation. Maybe they just aren't ready to address it. Maybe they'll start doubting if they actually want to transition or they only think they want to because a bunch of people told them they do. And it's especially bad if, say, you're making a transfem egg joke to a trans man who isn't open about his transness, which could lead to serious dysphoria (and vice versa for trans women). Not to mention how terrible it is to do this to nonbinary people. Do not joke about a nonbinary person being a binary trans egg, it's extremely disrespectful and transphobic to do so. And it's hard not to notice how implying someone is an egg only extends towards binary genders. Imagine someone is doubting their gender, and everyone is telling them they're obviously a trans man egg. They might end up forcing themself into that binary because they think that's what everyone wants.
All of this isn't to say you can't kindly and respectfully say "the things you've been saying sound very similar to the trans experience, I think it's possible you may be trans, but ofc it's up to you to decide whether or not to look into it". I very much encourage that, especially if the person is your friend and seems to be struggling. The thing that's really bad is making jokes at the possible closeted trans person's expense, or thinking of "cracking an egg" as something to brag about and not something to help someone through because you care about them
saw this on pinterest ages ago and got inspired, lowk forgot abt it until now lol
someday I'll draw carrie, I really love her
do Americans have lyrics for their hymn where they mock the dictator, the queen and the king of Japan? Didnt think so
it isn't "misgendering yourself" to say that due to being assigned female at birth you've experienced or still do experience misogyny, especially in healthcare.
weirdly enough i think it's easier to accept non sexual nudity if you're a bit of a a pervert. like people think "boobs are too sexy, people can't be normal about them", and it seems like a compelling argument, boobs are sexy. but when you realise that other things are sexy as well, things like stomachs, thighs, feet, back muscles, and you can normal about them in a non sexual context, so there's no reason anyone can't be normal about any other part of the body.
You don't need to be bigoted against nonbinary or alt people to criticize racism
