Thank you so much for your posts about how skilled and great of a vocalist Jere is!! <3 It's very important to talk about it bc unfortunately he is so underrated and underappreciated for his vocal talent! Too many people think a great singer is only those who belt high notes or sound like an opera artist or whatever. Then singers of less pop oriented styles are not praised enough. People got so stuck in the melodic part of cha cha cha live in esc (that isn't even bad imo, just not comparable to other belters in the competition) that totally ignored the other parts of the performance that are extremely hard to sing with all the techniques needed (I have seen a vocal coach analysing CCC esc performance and love that they highlighted and appreciated those moments - especially his transition from the low voice in verses to the high voice in chorus). And he has showed how versatile and professional he is as a vocalist in so many songs and moments now. From the low growly voice that vibrates even the soul of who is listening with how consistent and strong it is, the metal aggressive shouty singing that gets you just staring at him like a paralyzed prey, the extremely fast rap that demands an incredible breathe control, specially considering how energetic of a performer he is, the seemly effortless expressiveness and playfulness that creates great storytelling in his songs, to higher and even softer moments that pop so beautifully, he navigates between those techniques so smoothly and with such a skill! I can say even his most criticized melodic singing has improved and has been so good lately as he gets more confident and experienced with it. I remember Lauri Haav rightfully praising Jere in Yhtä en Saa VE performance for how vocally versatile Jere was! Or legend Pelle telling Jere he didn't need to prove anyone he was a great singer bc Jere already was a great singer! :'-). Beyond latest banger Mass Destruction and Allsång' Ja eller Nej Great vocal performances (Basshunter telling Jere he sounds like a Finnish angel in his ears in Allsång rehearsals <3) , I wanna give Autiomaa performance in Eurodisko arena as example, a more acoustic version that really showed that he has such a beautiful unique voice and also highlighted his voice control with singing being so emotional. He is working hard and taking care to be able to keep impressing us! And most importantly, he sings with passion, always! I hope one day people will recognise he is such an admirable singer and hope himself knows that!! <3
Yes! He is very skilled and he clearly knows his own abilities very well and, as you said, works on them very hard.
Like listen, any one of us can go outside (note! being outside with all of the elements vs. being inside matters for singing!!) and try walking at a regular pace while speaking very fast and animated for an hour straight, to give us just the tiniest idea of what it's like to move and rap at the same time. And he doesn't just walk either! Once you start paying attention to how much he moves his upper body, you realise how much he works the same muscles and everything he needs for vocal production. And bending your upper body, jumping around, walking around, all of that is going to affect your ability to control your breath. Which, again, is very important if you're going to rap. Try just speaking very fast while jumping or running, see how fast you lose your breath - and now try doing it all in a specific voice and keep that voice consistent and even. Or better yet, try going between different types of voices! Going from a lower register to a higher register it's very easy to start squeezing your throat and straining your voice, especially if there is growling involved, making it even harder to control your breath (and making it hard to breathe at all.)
And yeah, when you look at how he performs, you notice the improvement not only in the actual vocals but in the way he uses his entire body as the system for his sound. His melodic singing voice is still not his strongest asset, so what does he do these days, when he sings Autiomaa? He sits down. On a high stool that allows him to have his back straight without having to hold himself up, but still stay grounded and have access to his entire system. Like there is a reason why such a stool is so typical with singers. Singing (especially professionally) is a full body thing and the stool offers a very specific type of support.
Also, this might sound funny, but his (very accurate) Vesa-Matti Loiri impression, when he sings Hyvää puuta, is also a great example of his vocal control. That voice to me sounds like it requires quite specific things in the vocal production, in the muscles, in the larynx etc. so to be able to sing a full song in that voice without squeezing, without straining, with sustainable technique... yeah he knows what he's doing.
Anyway, as you mentioned having seen actual vocal professionals sing his praises too, I shall finish this off with a vocal coach reaction to Cha Cha Cha. There are plenty of kinda fake "vocal coaches" on youtube, but as far as I can tell, Sam is legit! So if anyone wants to hear all of this from an actual professional, here you go:

The hug + other Jere's Novi Val hugs are also as a video at the link above.
As is this clip of JO's version of CCC. You can clearly see the RTV camera moving around, so I would assume there is tv quality footage of this as well. Now, what do we have to do or who do we have to talk to in order to get it?

Jere really was eager to perform in Slovenia and open for JO.

Someone linked elsewhere this tiktok KK posted yesterday that makes it seem like this pants to mini skirt transformation was intended.
I still don't believe it. And even if it was intentional, that was so poorly executed. The picture makes it seem that it was plan for 40 C weather (and that they would have been shorts), but at what point in the program was this risky transformation supposed to take place? I mean if it was off stage, you'd just cut them, on stage you really would have to just wait for the fabric to rip itself whenever. Plus, wouldn't you design proper underwear then as well, if they were intended to be shown / there was even slight chance of it? Or told Bojan to wear black so that they would blend in?
