Sorry for not speaking about it earlier, I wanted to post something with my own words first.
It breaks my heart to see how, in 2020, we still have problems regarding racism, homophobia, and machismo, among others. We live in a society that is supposed to be free and open minded, where we should respect everybody, where the important thing is WHO you are, not how you look. I really hope one day we all could live in a world where these ābarriersā are gone for good, but for reaching that we all need to work together, we need to teach our friends, families, and most important, our future generations that everyone, every single person on this planet, matters. We are all a big family, and we should treat each one with the same love and respect we would like for ourselves.
Education is where the root of these problems is, sadly we get driven by prejudice at a first glance, and we think like that because thatās what we were taught, maybe not directly, but indirectly, for things said by our friends, by our parents, our society or culture. We need to educate ourselves and everyone that all lives matter. It may seem a lot to change the world, itās a lot if only a few fight for it, but if we unite together and fight as one big entity we can make that happen.
Although there are many things we should fight for, peopleās lives are the most important thing. Recently, a man in USA died because police officers killed him when the man was not being aggressive at all, and even though he was whispering he could not breathe, the cops did nothing, and he ended up dying under those that are meant to protect. The question is, to protect WHAT? This manās name is George Floyd, another victim in the long list of black people that died under the hands of white people. Again.
I have to be honest with you, I am not used to see these things. Where I live these things do not happen, but that doesnāt mean I have to pretend to be blind and ignore the issue. Iām also in a lucky spot on the net, and I have the advantage to reach many people, and thatās what Iām doing. This needs to spread, we need to help each other, we must be aware on this subject, that BLACK LIVES MATTER. FFS, guys, itās people what weāre talking about!
For those that donāt share my thoughts about BLM, I am asking you: Have you ever meet someone that is not white? Or that doesnāt share your religion? Or that comes from another country? If you havenāt, I dare you to do so. You will realize that this person has feelings like you, has family like you, and has a life that matters the same as yours.
Itās good to be different, and you all should be proud of being who you are. Also, from personal experience, itās super interesting to meet people from other places, form other cultures. Exchange your opinions, respect the others, and you will find how beautiful diversity is.
Iāve met people from so many countries and cultures, and talking with them made me super curious about it, and itās fascinating how they think/do things you wouldnāt have thought of.
So, these are my thoughts about this situation. Now Iāll reblog some useful links for you all, and if youāre able to help, do it. Spread them, share them, we all need to make a better world, and it all starts with education and respect.
Love you all. Weāre going to fix this world together, and remember:
