Deltarune Chapter 5 weird route spoilers below

What if the reason weird route continues in Chapter 7 is because at some point in the chapter Susie gets the soul? And what if it transfers from Kris since they're just. Dead. Like, what if they actually drowned, but when Susie theoretically gets the soul in Chapter 7, you begin to control her? Wouldn't that be fucked up??? Just out of nowhere she gets controlled by this malevolent and abusive force that drowned her friend, and now continues to wreak some sort of havoc.

I don't think this is likely to be true, but wouldn't that be crazy?
