i just restarted blades 2 and i’m confused bc they never explain what was actually happening to MC for that whole year??? valax claims later on that she only had MC for like two weeks so i figured there was smth weird with how time passes in the shadow realm, but in chapter one when Kade says you’ve been gone a year and MC says it only felt like a day, there’s a choice between “it’s probably bc time moves differently in the shadow realm”, and “it must be bc Valax kept me unconscious for her experiments” & the second one gives XP which implies that it’s the correct answer?? i suppose Valax still would’ve kept MC unconscious for those two weeks of experiments but that still doesn’t explain what was happening for the rest of the year. the Watcher also says that he couldn’t get to MC because he couldn’t get thru Valax’s (or possibly the empress’) magic, so MC certainly WAS in the shadow realm for a year, right? did Valax mean that SHE only had MC for two weeks & the rest of the time they were with the Ash Empress or other Ashen folks? did Valax really have MC for the whole year but she truly believes that MC was only there for a fortnight, because her mother has been messing with her mind? are the writers just stupid? we may never know
