i can’t shake the feeling that i’ll always either be too much or not enough. too much to handle, but never enough to satisfy.

I love being sent memes and people being like “this is you” or “this made me think of you”. Even if the meme is roasting me thank you for thinking about me ily.

Kratom Thoughts
I’m tired of tweakers using language that makes kratom seem like some kind of chemically manufactured drug that will fuck up your brain. It’s because of loud and obnoxious (and indubitably untrue) proclamations such as that which are causing lawmakers to prohibit the selling of kratom.
As someone who has lived with chronic pain and mental illnesses for decades, and who has suffered the consequences of attempting to find relief, let me drop upon you some personal truth, experience, and knowledge.
Kratom is a 100% natural leafy herb which has been used medicinally for tens of thousands of years or more. One does not require copious amounts of kratom to feel it’s effects. In fact, I take only one-half of a teaspoon per day, and I am able to function virtually pain free, without fatigue, and without debilitating depressive or anxious episodes. If one happens to “overdose” on kratom, the worst case scenario is a short burst of diarrhea followed by a longer-than-average nap.
Furthermore, since I’ve been drinking kratom-infused drinks, even if I do get off schedule, my body is fine! That’s a big difference from when I was taking prescribed antidepressants. One will never experience withdrawal symptoms from kratom, whereas one could have their life put on hold for days or weeks at a time while coming off of heroin, crack, or government-sanctioned prescription medications, including opiates.
Different breeds/strains of kratom have different medicinal uses. For example, green kratoms are good for pain reduction and energy boosting while red (Green’s opposite on the color wheel) which is also a pain reducer, is used as a sleep aid. Yellow strains are primarily used as mood balancers and anxiety reducers. Gold kratom has been proven beneficial to help with focusing while maintaining awareness. Yellow/Gold blends are highly recommend for people with ADD/ADHD. White kratom promotes the physical systems of the body and can do more for one’s stamina than any of big pharma’s drugs. MOST HERBALISTS WILL ALSO BLEND STRAINS BASED ON A PATIENT’S NEEDS. My personal current regimen is a yellow/white/green blend.
Kratom is affordable! My local herb shop sells kratom by the ounce for $20. As I mentioned, half a teaspoon daily is quite sufficient, and one ounce of finely ground kratom can last 4-to-5 weeks. Considering the cost of medications vs. the VAST benefits of kratom, $20 monthly for physical, mental, and emotional balance ain’t too bad.
In closing I would like to firmly reiterate that kratom’s health benefits infinitely outweigh any risks posed by its misuse. Those who have tried it and compare it to hard drugs must have really needed it. Those who want it outlawed have clearly never tried it or really listened to the testimonials of people who have benefited and continue to benefit from it. I also tend to be a bit cynical when it comes to government interference, so it’s not lost on me that maybe the biggest problem THEY have with kratom is that they haven’t figured out how to make the money from its sales go into THEIR pockets. But I must still strongly urge the people of the world to stop using language that paints kratom as the next meth. The Man is watching and listening and looking for ways to take away anything that helps us live happily and healthily.
