Headcanon: People can be ectocontaminated, but to make a true half-ghost, you also need electricity to bond the ectoplasm to the DNA. This is based on how all three times we see Danny become half-ghost, it’s involved both those elements.

So how does Vlad fit into this? The accident isn’t what changed him, it gave him the ectoacne and made him deathly sick, yes, but what actually changed him was when he finally flatlined and they had to defibrillate him.

I'm not sure why but I always see Vlad as a spicy food man! I'd like to thing he's got stashes of Cheeto's flamin hot puff's everywhere he has to spend any length of time 👀 [ even hidden in impossible places thanks to ghost powers, which has lead to at least one occurrence of demolition workers finding a long forgotten stash resulting in sheer confusion and questions of reality ]
