You should write a married peterick fic where they have a small misunderstanding and both of them stew over it and make it into this big thing until they confront each other in bed one night and find out it was just a dumb misunderstanding. Idk if you're comfortable writing smut but if you are then it could be added (I'm trying my best)

"Uhh, Pete...?"

"What."

Patrick had lost Pete's packet of onion rings "I-I lost your ring-" Pete cut him off before he could even finish, he had already been in a bad mood today.

"YOU WHAT!?" Pete had heard the word 'ring' and already decided that Patrick had lost Pete's ring. "H-how could you..! You lost the ring I proposed to with... Don't even fucking talk to me."

"No, Pete! I lost your onio-"

"Stop making bullshit up now!.. Just go goddammit!"

"Pete, just listen I-"

Pete snaps back and cuts him off once more. "I DON'T CARE, JUST GO!"

Patrick just leaves and goes to their room, it's better to just leave Pete alone and not make things worse than they need to be.

During the day Pete does everything he can to avoid Patrick. He even goes to as far as sleeping on the couch. It took him a few days to finally calm down but even then, whenever he had to talk to Patrick it was always short, one worded answers.

After a few days Pete finally started sleeping in their bed again and that's when Patrick thought he could finally explain to Pete how he had lost his onion rings and not his wedding ring.

He decided to just keep it short and simple.

"Pete, I lost your onion rings, not your wedding ring."

Pete rubbed his eyes. "Wait, so you didn't lose my wedding ring?"

"Yeah..." Patrick shows him it.

Pete looks at it for a minute."Well, damn... I-I'm sorry..."

Patrick fiddles his with his hands for a good minute before turning over and going to sleep.
