A little about me! I’m Afro-Caribbean, autistic, and queer! Pronouns are THEY/HE/SHE and I’m American, EST time zone! I’m an adult in my early twenties!! All these things you should keep in mind as I discuss my feelings on a variety of things!

I’m going to list out media that I’m critical of, and will be happy to provide critiques about! They will be split into two categories; what I have a relatively positive opinion of and what I have a relatively negative opinion of! Regardless of how I feel, that doesn’t mean I won’t critique positive or negative. This list may be subject to change as I discuss things, because that’s evolution baby! If something isn’t on the list it may just be that I’ve never watched it, haven’t heard of it, or just forgot lol.

I think the issue is that people are describing this as a bad TV season, but it's really much deeper than that. The final season of Sherlock was a bad season, the final season of Game of Thrones was a bad season. TVL / IWTV 3 is anti-Black. It is misogynistic. It has an open and glaring disdain for its Black and brown characters, and chose to be virulently anti-Black in a time of increased anti-Blackness. You are watching the corpse/ghost of a Black girl hurl racist garbage in a time where Black people are regularly being called slurs for simply existing. You are watching a Black man be branded... BRANDED! You are watching the whitewashing and babying of an unquestionably racist white man who beat his Black partner / helped lynch (yes, lynch, not stone) his Black daughter. You are seeing this done at the expense of a brown man.

Keep in mind, the characters are not making independent choices, you are not watching a documentary —you are watching the deliberate choices of an all white writers' room and a white show runner in a period of time where seventeen Black people have been lynched this year. In a time where countless Black people have been murdered in cold blood in June and July 2026 alone. This shit doesn't exist in a vacuum and pretending it does only adds more insult to injury. There is no turning your brain off in the midst of a slow genocide of Black people in america.

Stardew Valley is just a cozy game. I agree with the other stuff you criticize but Stardew Valley? Really? There’s nothing to hate in that game and all your posts on it just prove you’ve never played it, you just wanna complain for the sake of complaining 🙄

i wanted to know ur opinion on the recent undertale drama (if ur aware of it) with toby fox not translating/making dubs for the game except Japanese + in general the world tour of the undertale orchestra pretty much ignoring latin america.

mostly cuz people r using the excuse of “he cant learn every language” when its like…. hes a multi-millionaire like i can assure people it wont even scratch 1% of his wealth.

+ i saw the argument of fan translations being available (hypocritical af that toby supports those js so he doesn’t need to pay people) which js seems to ignore console players/people who dont have a computer.

I know of the controversy, and I've spoken about it in bits and pieces on both my blogs. I don't like it.

Spanish is one of the most widely spoken languages globally, to not want to have a Spanish dub for your game is something that could only be attributed to general bigotry and racism. I'm not sure why people are expecting HIM to learn the language specifically, as opposed to just hiring translators, so I also feel like that's just an excuse being made to take away from the problem at hand.

It's wonderful that there's a community of people who are doing the work for free as add-ons to the main game, but if it's not apart of the main source material then that's nothing to write home about.

Also at what point are we going to discuss Toby Fox's obsession with Japanese culture is a flavor of orientalism we shouldn't just keep endorsing because the characters are silly? Every other character is "white person weeb" and we've ventured so far into the satire and commentary of it all that we forgot to actually be genuine. It's another piece of media that perpetuates the concept of only white and Japanese people being able to exist in anime and anime-adjacent media, with the occasional Black character for tokenism. With that context in mind, it's a pretty shitty decision he made.

It’s repulsive how the fandom blames Jax’s victims for what happened to them instead of holding her responsible for her actions. Fans blame Ragatha and Gangle for their abuse, believing they “deserve” it for being so “annoying.” They claim Ribbit tried to “manipulate” Jax, and they believe Jax is “justified” in isolating her and causing her to become abstract. When it comes to Kaufmo, fans act as if Jax played no role in his abstraction and instead blame him for going insane.

According to the fandom, everyone else is the problem except for Jax, who was nothing more than a victim that didn't know a better way to cope with her trauma.

Interesting how Jax is the common denominator but there seems to be no apparent correlation.

What is your opinion of analog horror? I personally enjoy Obelisk a lot. My favourite chapters till now are "the man in the tower" and "Folly", the latter one being a heartbreaking metaphor of late-stage dementia/Alzeheimers. I higly recomend watching It.

I mostly enjoy it a lot, though I haven't seen much outside of Mandela Catalogue. I can always appreciate a type of horror that doesn't rely on jump scares or something that just jarrs you into feeling afraid. I think I'll check out the other titles you listed though since I'm on the hunt for good recommendations!

non black (and non westerner im from south asia) and one thing im always confused by, why are people pretending that criticizing (by that i mean asking for actual apology and improvement towards unlearning biases and such and bettering yourself and working to making your projects and environments more inclusive towards black folks,) gooseworx = transmisogyny?

i dont want her doxxed or hurt or murdered as a lot of people imply...not to mention i dont even want her gone or stop making things at all. you try to bring this up and theres just effortposting on arguing antiblackness and it truly puzzles me. then people say "what about (insert edgy white youtuber or white youtuber who made n word jokes in the past)" implying i....watch them or would excuse them? i am just so damn confused. feel free to delete this ask but really i am just so off put by this entire thing.

People think that change is meant to be a comfortable process and it isn't. When you hurt someone or a group of people, and you want to hold yourself accountable, that means being willing to go through the motions of being uncomfortable and changing effectively. That should be the goal.

But a lot of people don't like to feel uncomfortable, go figure, so they conflate it to everyone else around them being more aggressive than they actually are. Not to mention, non Black people tend to see Black people as more violent and angry than we actually are so there's antiblackness in play.

In all honesty though, I think that if you're someone who committed the many egregious actions that Gooseworx has performed, you shouldn't be so concerned with all of these threats. It's actually pretty pathetic, because at the end of the day Gooseworx has already made her money, and she's untouchable to the average person.

I go out into the world and I know that no matter what I do, some people are going to hate me just for who I am, and all the things that I can't change. That doesn't stop me from creating, from interacting with others, and from forming connections and community. When I hurt someone, I apologize, and I seek to make amends. The larger my influence, the larger that hurt I could inflict, and naturally the larger my actual apologies and contributions would have to be.

So what if people are saying Gooseworx shouldn't create anything ever again. Frankly, I'm inclined to support that reasoning because of all the damage she's caused and with no remorse. So what if people are saying she should be hurt or doxxed or murdered. All that does is place her in the same sphere as the people she already hurt with her tweets and her stupid ass show, but even then she still remains above them because other people placed her on that pedestal. She needs to get her priorities in order and so do her fans.

Anyone who claims that TADC is a “deep, complex” show has either never watched anything else or has only watched shows for babies because this show is underbaked with a cast that has surface-level depth and a world that has little development and a bunch of unanswered questions. Overall, TADC is a shallow show that had the potential to be far more than what it was; hence why I find fan comics and fan fiction of it to be more riveting because fans seem to have more interest in fleshing out the cast and circus far more than Goose, who only cared about exploring Jax.

I feel like Jax is more relatable to the very specific subset of online trans people that occupied more hostile cultures before coming out. People are relating jax’s experience to the more “repressed misogynistic 4chan user with an edgy disregard for others” side of internet culture. A lot of white people are hand waving this as normal or a typical experience. People of color aren’t welcome into these spaces, so its not one Jax would occupy in the first place as a latine transfemme. Other white people need to examine this reality, spaces that make their name by hating any kind of racial or lgbt minority are not normal ones to gravitate towards, and to excuse this as a universal experience is bizarre and out of touch. I think this should be mentioned more often in discussion of her, because it becomes obvious it was written from a white perspective.

I feel like that's what I've been constantly mentioning in my own criticisms of Jax. This isn't the trans experience to me, this the experience of a white person who happens to also be marginalized.

In real time I'm observing the white washing of many communities be passed off as good writing and it's incredibly annoying.

Something that I’ve been chewing on recently is the fact that, among every other issue it has, the thing with “showing empathy and compassion, even if the person isn’t perfect” is that it’s want that to come from the victims of the abuse. It’s not just “You can show empathy for this person, even when they’ve been shitty and awful”, but “you, person who were harmed by their actions, have to show empathy towards the person who hurt you! You can’t be mean to them, they’re also hurting!”

Ideally the solution is have Jax and Caine seek support elsewhere, and having their victims be able to decide how they want to continue interacting or not interacting with them, but that doesn’t work with the show’s premise so I guess tick that under more reasons why that moral didn’t work for this story.

That's exactly the point though and you're right.

To have abusers seeking comfort and validation from their victims is horrendous to make into the moral of your show. With Caine, he did at the very least apologize and seek to make amends, something that is important to show growth and change. However, they are still stuck with him nonetheless and the main issue of Caine needing their validation and praise is still there. There's no other real outlet because they're trapped within the circus, and that to me is very bleak.

On the other hand, they didn't even try with Jax.

How do I not let annoyance and hatred fester with this TADC shit? The white queers and transfems who enjoy the show and defend Jax as a character and gooseworx by saying everyone who hates her or thinks it’s bad writing or the show handled its themes poorly is actually a transphobe or misogynistic while also ignoring the very real racism or brushing it off and making excuses. It’s making me genuinely hate these people and I can’t even feel comfortable interacting around white transfems who say they like and relate to Jax as a character or excuse the writing and racism because relating to and rabidly defending an abusive character like Jax feels like a red flag and is triggering.

I know intersectionality is important but it’s dismaying how many people in the queer community defend this shit but keep ignoring Black people and very real concerns or criticisms.

In all honesty, I’ve distanced myself from white queers, and I’ve done it for a while. I’ve distanced myself from the white transfems, and honestly transfems in general that would rather be arguing with Black people about racism and transmascs about gender identity than holding Gooseworx accountable. I’m kinda done at this point, ya know?

It’s wild to me that everyone else has been answering for their communities whether they’ve been doing something wrong or not…except white transfems. Every day I’m getting bombarded with more information about what I’m starting to notice is a…really weird issue the internet has with a certain group of people.

I don’t know what the right term for it is anymore, but it definitely exists and I know who’s NOT being protected. I know who’s NOT getting the slack cut for them. I know that whiteness has a lot to do with it, and I know that a lot of people are white at the end of the day regardless of whatever other identity they fall under.

I know all of these things, and knowing that is what gives me peace. That and being away from these people on the Internet. I stick to making my own works to combat the issue, and I tend to my plants.

Intersectionality is important but I’m not a doormat. This internet/fandom culture that insists on upholding racism and supremacy ain’t cute, and I don’t have to put up with that. Especially when it continually produces stories that are so tasteless and repetitive.

The key difference between Jimmy and Jax is that Wrong Organ never tries to make you empathize with Jimmy, who they portray as the cowardly, abusive rapist that he is. He crashed the Tulpar, stranding everyone in space to avoid facing consequences back on earth for raping and impregnating Anya. Throughout Mouthwashing, we see Jimmy repeatedly making horrible decisions that only worsen the situation, yet he insists that he’s “taking responsibility” and will “fix” everything even as other crew members die around him as a result. Even in the end, he acts as if committing suicide equaled taking accountability for his actions when, in actuality, he chose a permanent solution to avoid it Wrong Organ shows how much Jimmy’s choices made Anya, Daisuke, Swansea, and Curly suffer and how he ruined their lives while never taking responsibility for what he’s done.

As for Jax, Goose prioritizes Jax’s pain and trauma over everyone else’s, including her victims, who receive only crumbs of attention. The narrative centers on how much Jax has suffered, giving little focus to how her years of abuse affected Ragatha and Gangle. Ribbit and Kaufmo, whom Jax pushed into suicide, exist purely as tools in her sad backstory and have no character outside her. Goose even strips Pomni, the other MC, of most of her personality and turns her into a service dog for Jax, making her care more about Jax’s well-being than about anyone else’s, including her own. In the finale, no one holds Jax accountable before she abstracts; her death is treated more like a “consequence” for her actions instead of as a permanent escape from her actions. Goose focused more on Jax’s pain than that of her victims, who were shafted in favor of her.

If you’re going to have an abuser as a main character, then you need to focus on their victims and how they’ve suffered at their hands instead of the abuser’s misery to garner empathy for them from the audience.

Idk if it just me, but I feel like its very out of character/inconsistent characterization for irl jax/leeroy and jax's post transition version goose drew to be emo/scene?

Like jax spend half of the show mocking and belitling gangle for being a weeb and liking cringy internet stuff, jax would absolutely be the blandest most normy looking person you've ever met, specially any version of his that hasnt come to terms with his gender and staryed transitioning. Idk I just found the emo/scene jax so out of nowhere lol

I mean, now a days it unfortunately seems very possible. There’s a rise in emos/punk/alt people that still maintain the right to be bigoted and conservative, even if it goes against the subculture.

At the same time though, it barely came up in Jax’s character from what we saw in the circus. Jax was honestly kinda bland—actually they all sort of were. I remember seeing so many cool fan interpretations of what Zooble looked like in the real world but somehow seeing their actual human form did not surprise me in the slightest.

There’s this really weird conservatism that floats through the indie sphere if I’m being honest, especially in these larger projects that seem to get popular.

Since I remember you mentioning that the TADC Cast made collabs with Black Gryph0n...god I hate that mf so much.

Aside of the disturbing pedophilic relationship he has with his wife, the dude in general is a parasitic weirdo with no personality who keeps clinging to a character he hasnt oficially voiced in nearly a decade and of whom he wasn't even the main voice to begin with (He was just Alastor's singing voice, his talking voice was Edward Bosco). Now that Hazbin is becoming less relevant he choose TADC as his new cash cow and keeps pumping insipid songs with most of the voice cast to remain popular. The only one who hasnt collabed with him is Alex Rochon, and that's because he was able to look throught BG's bullshit soon enough.

They’re all such losers omfg. Can we admit that and move on?! They’re washed up “peaked in Highschool” ass adults who make the same 5 jokes about being edgy that haven’t ever been funny.

Every single day they all sit in a circle and tell each other they’re all amazing writers and don’t go outside ever and when everything goes south they pull out a maid dress or one of two acting roles they’ve ever had to try and stay relevant. It’s so boring.

“Jax manipulated everyone!” You're telling me the abuser, who openly relished in tormenting and objectifying others and had an entire monologue speaking about how awful she is, was able to manipulate the rest of the cast? Then again, these are the same characters who tolerated Jax's abuse, never held her accountable with a few of them blaming themselves when she abstracted. Hell, Pomni even tried to save her, risking abstraction herself.

It all read as a really weird roleplay.

Like there’s always that one person that insinuates their character is the smartest of the bunch, but can’t actually write smart at all so they just throw tantrums and get mad when other people don’t adhere to their self pity plot.

The fact that the circus became a better place after Jax’s abstraction shows how much of a cancer she was on the group. I guess when you no longer have to deal with an abuser and their baggage, your life gets a whole lot brighter and more enjoyable.
