blurred lines | emmeline & rabastan
emmy-vance:
“Evening” Em grinned, picking up her newly refilled drink and sipping at it. It took her a fraction of a second to look to where he nodded, and then she felt the bubbling in her chest again as she spied the lines of crisp white powder. Em bit down on her lip, it was like it was calling out to her, though this time she didn’t spend nearly as much time deliberating what she would do. She’d made that choice what now seemed like ages ago.
Leaning down she took the short straw in her hands and sniffed up the line quickly and sat back, pressing her spine against the plush couch. “Oh shit” she mumbled, feeling the rush throughout her whole body, like her brain had just exploded. “It’s definitely a party”
In just an instant, his mood had improved by tenfold, the party had gone from dreadful to deliriously fun, and Rabastan was laughing. Watching Em adapt so quickly to the drug gave him a rush he couldn’t quite explain, nor did he care to. He saw her eyes grow wide and knew his own electric blue eyes must be nearly black. But on the drug nothing was wrong, everything was fun and interesting and tingling with energy.
“May I?” Isabelle giggled, leaning over the table. She took a swift snort, and from her expertise at it, Rabastan concluded this was not her first time taking a taste. “Merci,” Isabelle gasped, wiping her nose softly with the back of her knuckles. She turned to Emmeline and let out a bubble of laughter.
“I hope you girls have enjoyed yourselves. That was the last of it, unfortunately,” Rabastan chuckled. He’d been rolling all night now.
