-R.I.P-
"Rabbit, I’m a bad charm. Trust me." Charlie mumbled once again, not taking any notice of how he was looking at her.
Then came the L bomb. That fuzzy feeling in her stomach came back and shot through her body as the corners of her lips every so slightly curled upwards. Charlie managed to mumble back an I love you, but mumbling was becoming more of a habit to Charlie rather than a way of speaking.
She stood up, helping Rabbit up as well as she began to think of where to go. They could go back to the facility, but then there was the dilemma of what to do.
Rabbit picked up on Charlie's lack of enthusiasm in returning his love gesture, however, he didn't let it bother him and quickly he was putting it to the back of his mind and moving on. "Wh-why don't we just go home, a-and talk, or eat, or sleep, or paint my room or somethin'." he offered, trying to find something she might want to do, however, he wasn't sure which of those she liked as, he assumed she just went along with things to try to make him happy.
Taking his hand in hers, she looked to him. He didn’t seem like a lazy person.. maybe she should have thought about her words choices more. But then again, she wouldn’t be the gullible kid she was speaking before thinking it through.
Charlie smirked when Rabbit called her sexy, looking in front of her. “I’m not sexy. If anything, I’m a bad charm. Well.. apart from you. I don’t know how I got introduced to you.” she mumbled, smiling a little. “Did you still want to go home?”
Rabbit rubbed his thumb gently across the back of her hand. "Y-You're not a bad charm, you're one of the best things to happen to me." he looked at her with honest sparkling eyes. He thought highly of her and din;'t want her to see herself in any other way. "I love you." he said quietly, a childish grin playing with his lips. "M-Maybe not home..but, out of this room, for sure."
Charlie smiled at the silence. Weirdly, she liked it. Rabbit fidgeted a little, looking down at the chair every so often. When he became obviously uncomfortable, he asked to go back home and Charlie stood up immediately.
"Sure. But don’t feel embarrassed.. there’s nothing wrong with sitting on your ass all day being pushed around by the sexiest woman alive." she jokingly explained, emphasizing on the words 'the sexiest woman alive'.
Rabbit frowned. "I d-don't want to sit around on my ass all day. I'm not lazy, well; I don't want to be lazy." he got onto his knees, using the wheelchair for most of his support and he leaned over to her, nuzzling into her neck. "Y-You are the sexiest woman alive though." he agreed, having absolutely no idea what the word sexy meant but just going along with it because it seemed like the right thing to say.
"No.. no it’s okay." she said, smiling.
They sat there for a while, watching the fish float by and the penguins enjoying their food. Water sounds echoed through the room, the calm noise forcing their eyes to take slower movements.
"I like it at aquariums.. they’re quiet and calming." she explained, preferring any day to be surrounded by kids at a place like this than punching someones face in. "Do you like it?"
Rabbit nodded his head. "They're okay. Very quiet though." he realised that fish don't make a sound and there were very few people wanting to visit an aquarium during work days. "I k-kind of want to go home..I feel silly, in this chair-thing." he told her, not wanting to seem ungrateful as he really had enjoyed the trip out, but, he just felt embarrassed of himself. Which was rare, considering he's usually out in metallic face-paint,
Time to turn up tonight! No seriously we should all do something tonight.
L-Like what? I can't do much..
Rabbits frowned. “Animals are weird…Mumble is…a lot less child friendly than in the movie.” He laughed nervously and took his eyes off the killer bird and onto Charlie. “I pr-prefer the fish that looked like a pancake. A pancake with a tail.” He pointed to the ray that was gliding along the top of the water, as if to be in some stealthy mission of its own.
Rabbits mind was brought back to what Charlie had mentioned to him before they left. “What was the other thing you w-wanted to do?”
"Nah, they’re amazing weird." she agreed, standing back up.
The penguins fought over their food, a couple falling over each other as Charlie pushed Rabbit away to a bench in the middle of the room. She sat down, admiring the ray he pointed out and how he described it as a pancake.
"If it were a pancake, it’d be a pretty weird flavour." she admitted, pulling a funny face. Then Rabbit asked, "Oh.. uh, nothing. Besides, we can’t exactly do it here." she mumbled, looking to the floor.
Rabbit licked his lips, trying to imagine a water flavoured pancake. He liked the ray because it seemed to have two faces; one on the top of its body and one on it's underbelly. He rested his hand on her lap and squeezed gently. "W-we don't have to stay here...if there's something,my-you want to do, I'm happy to go do it."
Y-you can’t have a human robot. I c-can’t learn, I can’t write either.
Shh, semantics. Yes you can! Everyone can learn.
Semantics? S-sounds dirty...
Robots don’t go to school…that’s what my mommy always said…
Well, this robot happens to be very human. And he’s gonna learn how to read, okay?
Y-you can't have a human robot. I c-can't learn, I can't write either.
I c-can’t count. P-people counting makes me feel scared…
Really? Why’s that?
Because counting down reminds me things end..
I mean I c-can’t sleep?
Did you try um…counting sheep?
I c-can't count. P-people counting makes me feel scared...
Well, lots of things are wrong. Currently my sense of impending doom and lack of being sleepy.
What do you mean?
I mean I c-can't sleep?
No? Should I have been taught?
Yes? In school, Rabbit.
Robots don't go to school...that's what my mommy always said...
I can’t sleep…I feel sick..
What’s wrong?
Well, lots of things are wrong. Currently my sense of impending doom and lack of being sleepy.
I can’t read.
Did you never learn…?
No? Should I have been taught?
I can’t sleep…I feel sick..
Uh oh…so sorry to hear that
I'm used to it, I guess. It's never interrupted my sleep before, though. I like to sleep, do you?
