im in love with the designs in this au, especially Michael's because of his wings that kind of look like layered armor or a shield to me and it's just so cool in terms of wing shape . i was wondering if you had any design notes on why you chose what colors or shapes or outfits and stuff for the looks of the angels? its cool if not!

Ross:

• Gabriel’s design is a parallel to vox and his industry, so if you see some clear similarities their it's intentional he's made to look loud and attention grabbing and look a bit of an ass XD

• Uriel design is made to look sleek and efficient. You're made to assume she's very serious about her work and will not take half-assed results,

• Micheal is heavens symbol of security, despite his stature he still feels imposing and authoritative and has the trust of his people to keep them safe

Koko:

• Raphael was the first of the siblings that was designed! I followed a lot of Hazbin’s logic, tall and slim, he hasn’t changed much since I first created him. He was also very heavily based on both Aziraphale and Crowley from Good Omens (and the theory of Crowley being Archangel Raphael) I always try to give him a soft expression because despite his stature he’s very gentle and I wanted to reflect the healing aspect of his design, also his clothes are meant to resemble more of a stylized doctor gown ! He’s very rectangular

• Azrael was a pain to design HAHAH, it took me weeks to finally settled on a design which I felt was correct for them (and they’re still in a redesign fase) They have a lot of time and bone themes around their design, they themselves have a hour glass shaped figure, I try to represent how death is seen as an inevitable thing and also following the usual way people tend to represent Death, dark colors with a cape, very cliche but I tried to balance it trying to incorporate more Emo fashion into it, it felt right for Azrael as a character to follow the usual human cliches about Death and mixing up with their own identity

• Zadkiel, she is always my favorite one to draw. She’s a princess, she feels like a princess and should be treated like one (/j). Her design is meant to be regal, formal and to give that sensation of someone who is very tidy, doesn’t let any slip. Her closed eyes were meant to represent the blind faith and the veil is mostly to put together all her design. Zadkiel is supposed to resemble a heart!

• Jophiel ! Probably the one I draw the most because she’s just so easy to draw! She’s a lovely flower! When I first started to design her the 50s style always came to my mind for some reason, long stylized figures but fluffy dresses and hairstyles. Also she started to resemble more of Charlie during her pilot era, it wasn’t done on purpose but once Ross pointed out I realized I wanted to do some parallels with Pilot Charlie and Jophiel [design wise]. She then developed to be also tall, I don’t have any reason for that, I thought it was just fun the youngest would be one of the tallest on her family!

Idk if i talked about this AU of mine, but just in case i haven't...

HERE'S MY BRAIN VOMIT!

It starts two or so months after the fight with Vox, with Charlie narrating what's been going on at the Hotel lately (similarly to the canon ending of season 2). But then it pivots back to the person that Charlie is talking to, and it’s Lucifer. Unconscious, hooked up to IVs of golden blood, and being helped to breathe by a ventilator.

What happened was simple, yet tragic: The Might of Lilith depleted him of most of his power, so his wounds never closed. After getting back to the hotel, following the successful defeating of the Vees, everyone went to do their own thing, rest. Lucifer went to his room too, but he never reached the bed, collapsing. He was found the next day, in a pool of his own blood.

In the words of Belphegor (who's being taking care of the king of Hell for the past few months), his body cannot heal properly until his power is restored to its fullest. But his remaining sliver of power is focusing on keeping his body alive, not replenishing itself.

So he's stuck in linbo. The wounds won't close, he's still bleeding heavily, and there's no telling if he'll be able to pull through, as there's been no change from how they found him that day.

....Also! I have plans of having Angel Dust return to the hotel (on his own terms) and insisting on keeping an eye on Lucifer (when there's need for someone to take over), partially because he wants to help Charlie, but mostly our of guilt (as he's blaming himself for exposing Lucifer’s weakness to Vox — even though he did that unknowingly, under hypnosis).

....Oh! And Lilith comes back and keeps mostly to herself, not showing how she feels about all of this (not even to Charlie). But she still keeps an eye on her husband, sitting at his side, in silence, holding his hand. (If she's crying when no one is watching, that remains to be seen)

I'm cringe, but I'm free! Here's my Hazbin Hotel OC!

Colin Morningstar

[I think I did a decent job, for someone who doesn't really know how to draw.]

Here's some facts about this little guy (in no particular order):

He's born about 6 months after the first Extermination in Hell (making him just shy of turning 7 years old around the time he meets the Hazbin Hotel residents — more on that in my fic "A Bunch Of Sinners (and a little prince)", that I'm going to continue as soon as I have the time).

He doesn't really have any friends his age, although the children of the demons employed at the Morningstar Palace sometimes play with the young prince (if they happen to be there, which isn't often).

Lucifer tries to keep Colin in the dark about his mental health struggles, but the boy has pretty much gotten a vague idea as to what his father is hiding from him.

Colin loves to read (and he especially loves to learn different fun facts about all sorts of things). He's also passionate about magic. But, despite all that, he hates studying (and has gotten through an egregious amount of private tutors, all of which got fed up with the prince's "attitude").

He's teaching himself how to paint and is very proud of it.

Lilith posed for her son multiple times. She finds her little boy's passion very endearing.

Colin loves Charlie a lot, despite the fact that he rarely sees her nowadays. Fortunately, his sister makes it up to him by telling him all about what she's doing at the hotel.

I'll write more some other time, because I feel like it's getting too long.
